Our stay Thanksgiving 2021 Covid protocols were in place, very good. Clean! Security was great, as Deland has some issues with homelessness and a few people trying to make it on the streets. A few were somewhat agressive. So, the security was appreciated. This hotel (only one of two) on the main street in DeLand (the other is the Courtyard by Marriott on the opposite end of the main street- Woodland). The Artisan is the BEST OPTION in all ways - location, food and drinks, entertainment! We reserved a suite, here at the Artisan Downtown. It was nice, with a SMALL living area space with a couch, desk, and a small fridge. The suite had a queen bed, (maybe too soft) and nice crisp white sheets. Two phones - one in the living space and one in the bedroom. The bathroom - SUPER white crisp towels and we were provided with two GREAT bathrobes and two pairs of slippers! Coffee and tea are available in the room for no extra fee. Awesome A+ The only low point for us - “high-end” amenities - they were awful - Chinese soaps that would not actually lather. We actually shopped for alternatives in town. Only one suggestion to management - please REPLACE soaps and bath amenities, or offer none at all. Better bath amenities would be better than the nice slippers. They were an extra treat, but the soaps were so bad we actually shopped in town for alternatives. Nice Cuban café in the lobby (great breakfast) as well as a great on-site bar with live entertainment both nights we were there (on a weekend). The bar has GREAT ambiance and VERY fair prices($5-10). For $200 a night, this is a MUCH better option than the Marriott (any day). Period. The Deland Marriott Courtyard was good (B+++) , really good, but not as good, as is the Artisan in our opinion, a solid A. Our go-to in Deland. You will not be disappointed.

The newly opened hotel is the most advanced hotel in this small town. It is very lively around the main street. The room is very clean. The general parking is convenient. The service is very good. The breakfast is really silent. It is recommended not to set the breakfast door. Many stores can choose to recommend this. Home hotel

Found this Gem while searching for places near downtown Deland. Stayed one night and fell in love. The older gentleman who checked us in was charming and very informative of the Hotel and the history.He even carried our bag to the room. The other staff especially Lily was so helpful. Our room was like stepping back in time and the beds were extremely comfortable. I could go on and on especially about the morning coffee! Yum Yum. Will difinetly return to enjoy all this Gem has to offer.

The toilet kept running each time it was flushed which I had to fix. The t.v. would not work, went downstairs, they gave me another remote, still didn't work, went back downstairs and they screwed around with batteries, which didn't seem to be the problem because it worked for the t.v. downstairs. They came up to our room and changed the plug from one socket in the outlet to the other. Apparently, that is the problem with the t.v. often but they have no clue as to why. Next night, t.v. didn't work again but I fiddled with the power ***** switch and the plug and got it to work myself. And then there was the key card that took forever to work and then it didn't. We were told you can't have the key card next to a watch or your phone or it messes it up, but the key was in my purse, in a separate compartment not even close to my phone. This place is pet friendly so that's why we stay here, but it turns out the Hampton Inn, which is in the same area, is also pet friendly so I think we will be trying that on our next visit to DeLand. Evey time we stay here there is problems. Last time they had no food left for breakfast at 9, even though breakfast is till 10. They didn't have a lot of choices this time around either.

Nice quiet hotel. Room are comfy, ac's work good (its florida summer time so super important). Front desk is excellent. Nicki is OMG so good. I came for a night, extended with Nicki, next day extended with nicki over and over. I think I've spend 10 days or so. I'm not sure if she is front desk or sales manager but she the nicest hotel staff memeber I have met in a long time. So long as shes there I'll keep staying. Having someone know your name when you walk in and your preferences is so important at picking a longer term hotel.
