The location was great, the room was ample and well laid out. The best part however was the staff. Every single employee was warm and welcoming. In particular, Hansol went out of her way to take care of us and help us get through a mistake made by booking.com. She made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. Our trip would not have been the same without her!
This was our second stay at this hotel and both times were wonderful. The hotel is spotlessly clean and has every amenity one could possibly want. The bed was so comfortable. The bathroom was spotlessly clean and the bathrobes were super comfortable. Excellent, delicious breakfast and the restaurant was spotlessly clean.
Very Good

I’ve stayed at The Watt many, many times over the past two years. Overall, it’s a great hotel with fabulous staff, and crazy comfortable beds. Over the past few trips though, I’ve seen a few things that could be easily fixed if the management wanted to do so, but they apparently opt not to. Nothing major, but when you travel often for work, it’s the little things that make a difference. First, the rooms are dark. Just something to be aware of if you enjoy lots of light. Second, the towels (bath, hand, wash clothes, bath mats) have begun to yellow. It’s kind of gross. I can never really tell if they are clean. Throw them out and get new ones. The last thing should be super easy to fix. There are no lids for the paper coffee cups. The lids in the room don’t actually fit the cups. The breakfast room in the lobby offers coffee to go, but there are no lids for the coffee. I was told that the management “just doesn’t order them”. This has been an issue for at least a year, and not just a one off. The Watt is a Hilton Tapestry Collection hotel, but these few things fall short of what you would expect from the Hilton name. I guess because the hotel gets a lot of business from a nearby company and is mostly full at all times that it feels like it doesn’t need to address them.
Make our Super 8 Rahway/Newark hotel your home base in the New York metropolitan area. Located on Highway 1 and minutes from the NJ Turnpike and the NJ Transit station our hotel is just a short drive from Newark International Airport and New York City. We are close Conoco Phillips Hess Exxon Mobil and the Meadowlands Sports Complex.
We stayed at this hotel in April 2023. Our check in time was advertised as 3:00pm, however, we weren’t given a key until 4:00. At 2:35am all guests had to evacuate the building due to the fire alarm. When we were exiting the building a trash can was overturned, blood was on the floor, exit door and the furniture. We stood outside, in the rain, for 30 minutes until the the fire company released us to go to back in the building. No employee was on site at the time. The next day, at checkout, no clean up was done. No explanation was given. I would not recommend this establishment.
Upon checking in right at 3pm, we noticed the room was unusually hot. We tried to adjust the AC unit, but despite adjusting the temperature and turning to the ”high” setting, very little airflow was coming out. The heat in our room was made worse by the wall AC unit in the hallway right outside our room blowing what was clearly hot air (despite it being the middle of summer). The bathroom also smelled like a dead rotting animal or something. I called down to the front desk and asked them to switch us to a different room, and they put me on hold for quite a while. Instead of answering my call that was held, they sent a technician to the room who basically just tapped on the AC a couple times and said 'it's fixed”. Well, it wasn't, and I let him know that. In the meantime with my call to the front desk still on hold, my wife went down to the front desk at which point they tell her there are no other rooms available, and that everyone else is all checked in already. I knew that was a lie because we checked in right at the start of check in and saw no one else in the lobby. After we both argued with the front desk, they finally said they could move us to the room right above us (guess they did have other empty rooms after all), and the reason they didn't want to move us to a different room earlier was because we booked through Priceline, and that ”3rd party websites get the worst rooms”. Fortunately the new room had a working AC unit and no dead rotting animal smells, but we only got to that point of getting a new room after so much unnecessary arguing and added stress for my wife and I. The kicker is when we were eating breakfast in the morning, I noticed they have a big sign hanging up with their ”Home 2 Guarantee” stating ”We guarantee an engaging experience and clean, comfortable accommodations. If you aren't completely satisfied, let us make it right or that night's on us.” Doesn't sound like the staff is abiding to this guarantee, especially when they blatantly lie to their guests. I can't stand liars. It's so disrespectful and unappreciative for the staff here to lie to their guests. My advice: If you're staying in the area, avoid this hotel like the plague.
I just would like to say a few words on my stay at the comfort suites in woodbridge nj. Everyone was very welcoming and made my stay as if I were visiting family. The rooms were very clean and house manager was on top of every thing . The front desk girls were outstanding and were very helpful on things for us to do. Also the General Manger Kevin probably one of the hardest worker I've everyseen. He always friendly and had a smile on his face . Staying herewas a delight. Also the breakfast was outstanding for was hot breads and pastries were fresh as well as fruits and yogurts.
