The management of this hotel is just in business for a money grab. They are understaffed and communication is poor at best. There is rarely someone at the front desk and even calling from the desk phone didn't bring anyone to the desk. We ended up sitting in our car for a half hour waiting until someone appeared. Once we did check in the clerk very rudely informed us that the breakfast and pool area was for guests only (2 per room) and for any additional guests there was a fee for both. There was no need to tell us as there was a sign indicating this and we were checking in with only 2 people. There is no cleaning service if you are staying multiple days. I understand this is a new operating practice post COVID (desk clerk told us it was a privacy issue) but it should be communicated. When we asked for clean towels we were told we had to bring the used towels to the front desk in order to receive clean towels as replacements. We talked to other guests and their room was missing sheets on the bed. There is Wi-Fi but the code is not provided on the room key envelope. Most hotels include breakfast hours on the weekends until 10 a.m. but it was only from 6 a.m. - 9 a.m. and a very poor selection. The owner/manager also kept his Jaguar parked in a handicap spot our entire visit and there was not a handicap plate or placard in the car (we knew it was his by the vanity plate). The price of this hotel was definitely not worth it.

The River Inn and Suites was very clean, well maintained, friendly front desk and in the lovely and quaint town of Osceola WI. Be sure to see the waterfalls about a mile from the hotel. We ate at a Mexican restaurant about a couple miles out of town. The best chimichangas we have ever had and we have been to many Mexican resort cities. Five ⭐️ stars for the restaurant, hotel and town.

I have never written a review before but I am compelled to do so because the RA Hotel is such a first class operation that it deserves recognition. From check in to check out my experience as a guest was noteworthy. This is consistent because I have stayed here more then once. I send a ” thank you ” and my personal rave review to the GM Rosco, Jon, Lindsey, and Jen for Great service all the time and EVERY time. For example, Rosco is attentive and friendly from check in till departure, always assuring that we are pleased with the services and accommodations. Lindsey was asked to work a double to cover a sick employee and yet she showed up to fix my T.V. when we wanted to watch Netflix. I was amased how happy she was to help me which truly shows how much she puts the guests first! I only know she worked a double because I saw her during the day shift and this was now 9 pm. Also Jon at the front desk is courteous, affable, and thorough. Only time prevents me from citing numerous other specific examples. As a member of the Minnesota district court Judge's association I have recommended RA as a future seminar facility. I know that the highest form of praise is a referral, and I recommend RA without hesitation, confident that the service I receive is extended to ALL GUESTS. Thank you Running Aces I will return!
