The hotel is great, the service is good, very warm. The room facilities are good, the surroundings are lively, but the room is very quiet. At The corner, it’s a lively place for college weekend gatherings. It should be the nearest hotel to the University of Virginia. Walk to the train station for about 10 minutes. Recommended

Tasteful, charming, and a nice break from the soulless corporate chain hotels. Beautiful old windows and cozy nooks. My room was huge and featured a working gas fireplace. Plus amenities like a 24-hour pool and free valet parking. For me, this place is the perfect cross between a B&B and a large hotel.

Positives: Courteous check in Negatives: Cold water, no hot water. The hotel check in staff did not disclose that the water needed to run at least 10 minutes before getting hot. It would have been disclosed upfront at check-in. What a wasting of water to run it for 10 minutes. This will not be acceptable in California, where water is so precious. When the water came out, it was black ink-ish color. Should be a 2.5 star hotel, not 4 star hotel. Hair found on the sheet, but the hotel staff said ”it's clean and hairs do stick to the bedding sheets” after looking at it. Also no blankets. The same hotel staff brought two blankets over, apologized but felt like giving us a lecture and making a speech rather than solving problems for us. Would not recommend this hotel, especially there are many better options nearby. The location is convenient though if you value location over cleanliness and service.

KKSBeautiful hotel! Front desk very friendly,especially Latasha! My request for a quiet room was granted. The 6th floor in low numbers is good. I stayed 3 nights for work and my room was SPOTLESS! The mattress was firm, my pillows fluffy. I especially loved the slippers because I forgot mine. Upon arrival Franklin helped me with my luggage and on a rainy day my umbrella was in my car. He kindly gave me one. The only drawback was the Valet parking. They're very good at what they do but I wish there was maybe off-site parking. $18 is a bit steep, I walked to work so I paid for my car to be parked. The morning coffee in the lobby was very good. I didn't get a chance to eat at restaurant Ridley but the aroma sure smelled good. I would definitely stay here again. The lobby's decor and seating was very comfortable.

Cchjg66We stayed one night at the Fairfield Inn & Suites, on our way to Monticello on a US History Tour. We found it to be a nice hotel, with efficient staff and complimentary breakfast. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. We noticed they had a nice gym & pool, but since our tour group arrived fairly late, and we had an early start the next day didn’t really have time & energy for exploring amenities. The location was convenient for going to Monticello the next morning.

We were lucky enough to only have to stay in Cville on a Sunday night (Saturday night would've been quite pricey). Thanks to the low Sunday night rate, we opted for the 1 bedroom suite with fireplace.The room itself was excellent and we were impressed with the hotel overall. This is definitely one of the nicer Hampton Inns we've stayed in. The central lobby and breakfast area is tastefully decorated and has nice high ceilings. The location can't be beat as you're a very short walk to The Corner and only about 5-10 minutes from the Downtown Mall.

克克雷叙鱼玄机Because I visited the University of Virginia, I decided to stay here very close. There is a big supermarket right next to it. It is easy to buy water and food. The breakfast buffet was also good. There is free parking.

The Sleep Inn on 5th St was our choice for an overnight in Charlottesville to attend a wedding. At $235 for the night, we weren’t expecting top of the line but we also didn’t expect low budget. Our bathroom smelled of sewage. While sink/toilet and surround looked newish, the bathtub, tub wall, and floor looked cobbled together from various “updates” or repairs. Oh, and a bulb was out in the bathroom. They claim “free wifi” but no network ever came up on either of our phones. The bed linens and beds were perfectly nice. The parking lot either had the lines drawn too close together or no one else staying knew how to park. We needed a can opener to get in and out. Free coffee bar and breakfast were as expected: scrambled eggs, bacon, waffles, cereal, orange juice. And bananas. The final piece that forced this 3-star review… with a new puppy at home, ironically we thought we’d get to sleep in a little without the puppy to wake us… only to discover around 5am that the incessant barking we heard was from the kennel NEXT DOOR. Won’t be back…

GGuest Userwe stayed over night june 10, 21. the room was recently remodeled and beautiful. the staff was very nice and helpful and i could not have been more satisfied. it is pet friendly and my little alice was very happy. the beds were comfortable but a little hard for my taste. (i am very picky about my bed so can't really go by me) my husband was very pleased with it. there is a steakhouse within walking distance that is very nice. yes i would stay again.

VVaWineInMyPocketBlech. I know you get what you pay for, but I paid $125 for one night during a very busy week in C-ville. That smell when you open the door and you are smacked in the face with the mix of cigarette smoke and deodorizer... In the 30 minutes I sat in there while searching for a new hotel, the smell invaded my face mask. Dark inside, woman (guest) sitting on the curb outside my room smoking, just blech. I abandoned the room and let them keep the money - maybe they can use it to rip out the drywall and start over?
