Best Brandon Hotels

This place is still advertised as new even though it has been opened for two years as you can see from other reviews. Just wonder when new stops being new. It was a spur of a moment stop as we planned to sleep over in Vicksburg and the new Candlewood. But it was getting late and big storms were converging on the area so we decided to stay. Like one of the previous review it has been a while since we stayed in LQ (2002 or so in Santa Fe, NM). The new design is definitively improvement. Nice, clean room, comfortable beds , flat screen TV with good channel selection, in room fridge and microwave, helpful staff. Unfortunately the overstuffed, very hard pillows are about unusable so bring your own. There’s Domino Pizza next door that we visited, but we did not venture out anywhere else due to really bad storms. Our biggest problem was the room (317) and its location. We wanted king bed and this was the only room (they also had 2 double beds facing I20). This room (and in turn 217) is next to the elevator, but you can’t hear that. What you will as we did, is the ice machine that is in an open space behind the elevator and next to your headboard. We were woken up at 5AM when someone was filling the ice chest / cooler. That was going on every 10-15 minutes onward. So if you stay in this room be ready to get up at 5AM or earlier or bring earplugs. We wish we took the room facing I20. There are also some issues with maintenance as you can see from the cracked bath door in the pictures. That should be fixed promptly. Overall we liked the hotel and would stay again. Just not in 317.

This was a spur of the moment stop on the way home from the beach. This hotel is clean as a whistle. Friendly staff. Air conditioner worked better than any air at any hotel! Great coffee!! Quiet. Even though it’s on the interstate, never heard a peep. Definitely would stay here again if we’re in the area.

When I discovered that I’d left a makeup bag I called and the staff was extremely helpful. The team was so gracious as to mail it to me. I received my item 2 days letter with everything in tact!! I’m so very appreciative.
