It’s hard to find any issues with this hotel and so I’d fully recommend it for anyone wanting to stay in the centre of the city. They arranged a seamless airport transfer which, given the narrow secluded street the hotel is on, makes me wonder if a standard taxi would be able to find it so would also recommend anyone to book through the hotel! Check in was exceptionally friendly and although my room wasn’t ready at my early arrival time I was accommodated well and made to feel welcome while waiting. The interior of the building is amazing, with the different rooms, high ceilings and sense that you’re somewhere full of history and special. The scent throughout is incredible and feels like walking through a spa wherever you are. The courtyard around which the accommodation floors are located is beautiful and could almost be a destination in itself in the city. My room was on the fourth floor and seriously impressive. The size was huge, with a dedicated living area, spacious bedroom, dressing area, separate toilet, large bathroom with twin sinks, plus a bath and walk in shower. The sheer space meant there were a couple of sizeable TVs, lots of reading material, multiple complimentary bottles of water and every amenity you could think of present, including electric socket adapters in the drawers - brilliant. Electric sockets were present at both sides of the bed and there were so many light switches throughout the space to get the mood just right, The bed was massive and provided exceptional sleep quality, despite there being occasional noise from the streets below. The underfloor heating throughout the room added to the cosines and the continuation of the pleasant scent was lovely. The bathroom continued the great vibes having brilliant towels, lovely toiletries, heated towel rails, nice gowns, and so much space. In fact the only complaint I can have about the room is that the shower took a long time to get warm and there weren’t many hangers in the extensive wardrobe space! There is a nice rooftop terrace connected to the restaurant and while it doesn’t offer unobstructed views it’s a good spot to watch the sunset and get a different perspective over the Tunis rooftops. There’s a full bar available and lots of food options, but it is rather fish / seafood heavy which might not suit everyone. Presentation of the dishes is great though with everything well cooked and very tasty. The service from the staff is decent and with the couple of sofas a good spot to relax in the afternoon sun. As a more boutique hotel it was exceptional, in a prime location in the city to be able to walk to a number of key sites, and I’ll certainly be staying again when I’m next in the city.

Located centrally in the Tunis souk, my father and I loved our stay. Surrounded by bars, cafes and restaurants, it makes for a great night out. Clean, lavish and traditional hotel operated by a smiling, hard working team. Our room was extremely nice with air condition, a clean bathroom and strong Wi-Fi. The dining area is also well maintained and kitchen staff are super sweet - even serving us extra food without us even asking! The rooftop is also next level, where staff brought us tea and pastries while we enjoyed the sunset over the city. Amazing staff. Amazing hotel.
This is the worst hotel experience I have ever had. The location of this hotel is the middle of Medina which means you have to walk with your baggage’s to the main streets always since it is not accessible by car. It is a nightmare if it rains, the Medina’s floor is always full of rubbish and ponds of dirty water after rains. This is not the worst part of my stay. We were offered a very large room (suite) upon arrival and it was to our surprise because we only booked a standard room. On the next day morning, we were asked to pack our belongings and move to the standard room we booked. It would have been better if we were told of such information upon arrival so that we can avoid unpacking our luggage on the previous night. The arrangement was very weird since only 2 of the 5 rooms were occupied during our whole stay. We doubted the necessity of room changing. Next, we were not sure why the portion of breakfast on the first morning was so tiny, we felt like we did not have any food after finishing the breakfast. The breakfast became normal on the next few days and we have no complaints on the breakfast anymore. Next, the male staff was quite rude and could not communicate well in English. We were not given the right room key after moving to our new room on the 2nd day and he shouted at us saying he could do nothing and we should wait until the next morning, his manager would give us the right key. Such manager has never showed up during our stay. On the next morning, of course, as expected we could not get our room key. Eventually we packed our belongings and left the hotel with our room unlocked as we booked a private tour and we must leave. When we returned to the hotel in the evening, we received the room key but the door lock was not functioning very well. Anyway, we could still lock the room afterwards. What’s more, hotel building and the room deteriorated quite obviously. A number of the facilities are broken or not well maintained. For example, only 2 light bulbs of the chandelier worked in the suite (1st room given) and the mattress in the 2nd room bend obviously in the middle. No room cleaning service offered during our stay, no towel replacement as well. No hair dryers in the hotel was another nightmare, it is ridiculous to have not even 1 hair dryer which anyone has hair would need it. I have written too much but I was really quite upset about my 4 night stay at this hotel. Highly not recommend this hotel. Look for other places else, staying at the middle of Medina is not a good idea.
Le Chambre Bleue was an excellent bed and breakfast located just outside of the Northwestward edge of the Tunis Medina. The owner and his wife were just so incredibly kind to us and really made us feel as part of their family during our stay. Any issues were handled with hast and they were so helpful arranging transportation for us. Beer and wine was available for purchase as well as free bottle water! Will recommend Le Chambre Bleue to our Friends! Breakfast may have been the highlight though, every morning being a little different than the previous. Homemade jams and bread were a highlight!
This is a really stylish and boutique hotel located in Medina in Tunis. The building used to be a Palace in the past, so you can feel really special here, rooms are nice, big and decorated, beds are comfortable, breakfast does not offer a very big choice, but everything is fresh and tasty, reception staff is very friendly and helpful, really a great place to stay!
The Royal Victoria Hotel, the former British Embassy, has a first-class location, just at the entrance to the old city of Medina. It is very convenient whether you are visiting the Medina or going to the old city. Because it is an old building with a retro scenery, the elevator still has a manual door, but the facilities are a bit outdated and the room is not big, so it is not convenient for washing and drying during long distance travel.

Medina of Tunis
老老少皆宜(程世荣)The capital of Tunisia is Tunisia. We flew back from here. Tunisia is very good, especially the old city is very charming, but when we went, it happened to be a chaotic period in Tunisia, and the city management was average.
Ez-Zitouna Mosque
TTodemmyThe oldest mosque in Tunis and whether you are muslim or not this a place that should be visited. The building is beautiful. The courtyard is impressive and the tower looks imposing. When not being used for prayer the door to the mosque is open but with an attendant in charge so that tourists cannot just wander in. But if you are pleasant to him and offer a donation he will use your camera to take some photos inside. This is a very historical building and really worth a visit
Dar El Jeld
MM32***23Dar El Jeld is really a super perfect place! Very exotic, all kinds of doors and windows in Tunisia can be photographed for a long time, beautiful and beautiful! The decoration style is also very beautiful, it is worth taking pictures of the net red punching point
