Best Gothenburg Hotels

Myself and fiancé have recently stayed at this hotel for our little city break to Gothenburg. The location of this hotel is absolutely perfect, literally no more than about 15-20 minute walk to wherever you want to be! The Center of the city is closer again, being only about 5-10. I don’t think I have ever stayed at a hotel in a better location. The staff were all very friendly and were happy to answer any questions/quires. The hotel has a very quirky and laid back feel which is perfect. The room itself was perfectly adequate, a little quiet on the small side but had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. It doesn’t have tea/coffee making facilities in the room, but there is a machine in reception and you can take drinks up…. (an excuse not to be lazy I guess) …… The only two negative points I have to mention are that the curtains in the room (602) did not close fully, there was a gap in the middle and this let light through early in the morning. Thankfully I come up with a genius idea of hanging my scarf in the middle! The other was we had a brief foul smell coming from the drain in the shower….. Rather than do the typical Brit thing of complaining immediately I gave it the benefit of the doubt and after blasting the shower hose and a bit of soap down it, the smell disappeared…… Breakfast was good, a little on the basic side but gave you a nice full tummy and there is a little bit of noise if you’re in a front facing room… (to be expected from a city centre hotel) Overall this is a lovely little hidden gem in the heart of Gothenburg and will definitely be returning when I am back in the city.

Fantastic family stay in a XL room. Loads of space with 2 double beds and a seating area. The breakfast was great with lots of choice. The location of the hotel is perfect and very central with an airport bus stop just five minutes walk away . The staff were great and very friendly, I would highly recommend this hotel and would highly recommend it.

Close to the train station and shopping center, the room is small, breakfast is OK, there is free coffee afternoon tea

The location of the hotel is very good, in the city center, within walking distance to shopping, restaurants and some attractions. The seafood, cheese, and snack markets downstairs are very convenient. The room is clean and comfortable, and the jacuzzi is very relaxing 👍

Came here for New Year's and a week 30th Dec 2023 to 6th Jan 2024. I have loved every minute of it. It has been very cold but right clothing and wrapped up its been stunning. Hotel is pleasant and ud in a great location. So much to see and places to go. Breakfast is nice.. and rooms comfortable. I would deffo stay here again. Thank you to everyone for having me. And will see you again

The facilities are very European aristocratic style hotel, just out of the train station! Welcome fruit, coffee, refreshments at the front desk, quite generous and welcoming! Garden breakfast, rich variety, feels great! Highly recommended hotel!

The hotel was near Jungangyeong, so the transportation was good and convenient. The price is a little more expensive than other hotels of the same class, but it includes cafe use and dinner in the afternoon I have had a good week without worrying about dinner. The nearby nordstan shopping mall is close, so it sounds good for shopping. One regrettable thing is that the hotel doesn't seem to be able to manage the noise and fights of other guests during the evening.

I will definitely be back to this hotel. Great location in downtown Gothenburg. I loved the bar in the lounge. Valuable comparing to other big cities and quality of the hotel/service that you receive. Breakfast was 5 star too. No complaints at all about anything. Never tried the roof bar but hopefully in August when I go back.

We stayed in Pigalle Hotel Gothenburg for 2 nights The location of the hotel is very central and super close to the central station of Gothenburg ( about3 minutes walk), it is also close to tons of restaurants, cafes and a big shopping mall where you will find everything The reception when we first entered the Hotel did not meet our expectations, it was not that warm welcome and for a moment felt almost like self service, I thought it was bizarre for a 5 stars hotel to have average reception for their guests. Decoration of the hallway, the bar at ground floor, the entrance and even the stairs was surprisingly very vintage, romantic and outstanding design, overall it was charming and very aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Even the room design, the wall paper and the bathroom were all of the same theme (vintage & romantic and it quite warm feeling) The bed was super comfy, we slept very well like bears so if you wanna have a great sleep they got the beds and pillows for it. Also the breakfast every morning was nothing short of delicious and the taste of everything was great and you can feel that they only use fresh & high quality ingredients, the methods of the cooking and preparations were very 5 stars indeed, and the service of the staff as well, they were very friendly and professional. Nevertheless the room we stayed at did not match the pictures on the hotel web page, it was not very spacious neither was the bathroom, and next to the bed both nightstands had stains on them, we were also not pleased with the cleanliness of the room nor the bathroom as there were so much chalky limescale deposits all over the bathroom floor. The closet in our room was sort of broken and need reparation as it was quite warn out, also it had very small space to hang our clothes and even less space for stuff because it had only 2 small shelves. No free coffee, nor tea and not even water in the room, quite disappointing for a 5 stars hotel, I honestly was upset as there were no trash cans in the room, there were just one in the bathroom and you need to walk there every time you had trash to throw. Also although we were couple, we only got 1 welcome package and even that was very basic. In Summary: The Hotel have a charming, vintage aesthetic and an unbeatable central location. However, the room quality fell short of expectations for a 5-star establishment, with cleanliness issues and a lack of amenities. The delicious breakfast and exceptional service of the staff helped redeem the experience.
