Great hotel, located along the river and easy to reach. The room is with river view, really scenographic. The hotel has no interior restaurant but offers a selection of suggested restaurants at 10-15km distance.

Stayed 1 night as part of a 3 week holiday across Portugal. This was Vila Gale hotel number 3/4 we would stay. We booked a suite as a family of 4. The room was great, spacious, clean, very nice and modern. The balcony view was amazing looking out over the River and vineyards. Breakfast was nice with plenty of options from the buffet for the kids. We stayed half board and ate in the restaurant in the evening. It is buffet style and is ok but not amazing. Pool was very good with amazing views and the pool bar very convenient. Location is remote and you need a car. We traveled after staying in Porto and took a scenic drive of about 2hrs (but can be quicker on motorways). But the drive is well worth the location. It is in a stunning area and the panoramic views from all parts of the hotel are amazing. This hotel should be 5* and could be with some minor tweaks. The buffet restaurant is more 4* resort and with the change to A la carte menu restaurant would suit its style more. Also the addition of further bar areas other than the restaurant would add the extra. Apart from that it was a great stay and the staff where all pleasant, helpful and kind. Also felt comfortable with kids but would maybe come back as a couple one day to enjoy ;-).
The staff is super friendly and are always there with a smile. It is a beautiful view but not as that beautiful if compared to other wineries in the region but the hotel and room size/amenities are just perfect. My only recommendation is that the breakfast/dining room since they are the same (which is okay) but the furniture/decoration should be a little bit more fancy to offer a better dining experience (for the dinner) as how it is, it is making it to look a little cheap. But overall it was a great stay.
We had a good stay here, for the most part. The staff was lovely, unfailingly helpful and courteous. We did not have a balcony in the room, so it was a bit darker than we like, but otherwise pleasant. Comfortable bed and bath, but no WiFi in the room. Other amenities were a sauna, which I couldn’t get to be hot, an indoor pool and an extensive outdoor pool that was very refreshing. The restaurant had a decent brunch- only had dinner once as there were other places we wanted to try. One morning we made a reservation to tour the nearby caves - that was a delightful tour, different from the other production wineries we visited. Ucanha is also an interesting town with Roman architecture.
Beatiful house with nice comfortable rooms, a super nice living room for spending the evening . Good breakfast and a nice, clean pool. Big garden with grapes and olive trees, kiwi and qrapes on top of the parking lot. Enough parking space. Definitely worth a visit during your douro valley tour. Some nice restaurants to visit in the small towns nearby. Tasty wine from own production and very friendly owners
Our stay at the Holy Fathers' Field has exceeded our expectations! We feel at home! We were installed in the only available room - the Vine room, a very comfortable room, with a small balcony that allowed relaxing at the end of the afternoon, packed by the sound of the birds and the waters of the Warosa river. We had enjoyed a long and nice lunch, but we wanted to try Lina's kitchen, and the dinner was very good, and I highlight careful service, ambient music and cozy room. The spa values the space and the fact that it can only be used by marking has made us happy, allowing the enjoyment of it in a more intimate and relaxed way. The swimming pool over the nature invites sunbaths with a few arms. The farm has a small capillain, old-time resquiz ... Society games, billiard table, mattresses and bikes are some of the free options available to guests. It should be noted that the Quinta is located next to the Millennium Road of Monges, a 41 km walkway that connects the Durian Countys of Lamego and Tarouca, between built heritage and vineyards. It will certainly be one of our next challenges! However, our greatest reason to return to this place where we were very welcomed by everyone is the hospitality of the host, Lina, an elegant, entrepreneurial woman with an inspiring presence and a very special brightness - a true Queen! The breakfast room was broken (a very complete and supplied breakfast with quality products from the region itself) to give us good days and welcome and we feel very soon a particular admiration. The sharing that happened on that day filled our hearts and engaged our souls. We are extremely grateful. We will return!
