Hotel location is convenient, walk to the main street of the city 7-8 minutes. The kitchen and bathroom facilities are complete, and the separate kitchen is suitable for those who like to cook their own meals. If you bring a child, you will have to pay for the child. Filling out the child information when booking a room automatically calculates the room rate and automatically assigns the appropriate room. If you temporarily increase your child's stay, you will need to add a child's room rate. This is a motel with plenty of parking.
Loved this motel!. I booked really late in the evening and the lovely owner was so welcoming despite turning up out of office hours!. Room was perfect, bed comfortable. Well thought out room. Privacy. Enjoyed the quiet, away from the road. Happy to recommend
I stayed in the Tasman bay backpackers a few nights, the hostel is very nice and clean, and the location is great, but the receptionist Blake was very unfriendly since I checked in. My last day in the hostel I asked him if a friend could come say goodbye to me as I was leaving Nelson and he said no visits where allowed, although there was an European girl visiting a friend, and it was 6pm (visit time was supposed to be until 8 30). He was very unhelpful and seemed to have a problem with me being there.

It's good. I'm used to living in newer buildings than these cabins, but it does the job. The cafe serves toasted sandwiches which can be vegetarian. I stayed 2 nights, from late August until the 1st of September so it was nice and quiet. The location is really good and it isn't hard to navigate the camp site.

Great location ,very clean and tastefully fitted very friendly and professional staff, also nice to see is a big tv screen very rarely seen at other places we stayed
Especially watching a live game of rugby( all blacks beating the boks)
Very comfortable beds great linen and pillows we stayed in a twin poolside room with spabath and 2 double beds
Highly recommended and at a great rate
We looking forward staying here again
We stayed here for two nights before and after walking the Abel Tasman Track. The welcome from the receptionist on the 15th March was very professional and polite. We had a King Studio on the 5th floor for our first stay which was clean and spacious. If you are short it would be difficult to reach some of the kitchen items on the top shelf. The central location was brilliant as we could walk to all the shops, galleries, gardens and cafes. Fresh Choice supermarket is just down the road. Kitchen is well-equipped. Great to have a washer/dryer to wash all tramping clothes after the walk. Our second stay was in a second floor room which did not have such a good view but was still excellent. We did not hear any other guest noise in either stay apart from occasional doors shutting. Outside noise is obliterated when the windows are closed - this noise was minimal anyway. House keeping staff were polite and friendly. Definitely recommended. The baggage storage facility was great for when we did the Abel Tasman Walk. Reception staff were very helpful. We felt very relaxed and comfortable in the apartment.
The hotel is well located near the city center, within walking distance to the downtown commercial street and restaurants, supermarkets and the beautiful Nelson Cathedral. The rooms are spacious and clean with complete facilities.
Attempting to check in when the property Network Interface was not connected, causing our Card Transactions to decline, was an all to accurate fore-taste of things yet to come. The property owners (Paul and Adele, nominally) had seen fit to 'bugger off' for the holidays, leaving poor Gail (a friend, apparently) to look after everything in their absence. Poor Gail managed to get the Network running, but the room WiFi didn't work. She fixed this, bless her. Then, the Spa bath !! It was filthy and didn't work and remained so for the duration of our 3 night stay, despite the cleaners giving the bath a good clean the next day. My advice ? Stay WELL CLEAR of this poorly maintained and poorly managed property. And, by the way. The outdoor furniture was just shoddy white iron table and chairs, in no way, resembling that in the published photograph.
This was our second time staying here, and it was just as good as we previously found it. It’s clean and modern, with a very good standard of fit out and furnishings. It’s quiet, and with a very comfortable bed meant we had a couple of good nights sleep. It’s an easy 10 minute stroll to the centre of town and restaurants. We’ll be back for a third stay in the future.

GGreenInsightsAs the name suggests you are right on the water when you stay here. Our room was sparklingly clean and fresh when we arrived. Features are a comfy king size bed and really big bathroom with detachable shower head in the shower. Eco friendly push button soaps as well as regular soap and shampoo provided Tea and coffee are quality and two packs of welcome biscuits are in the kitchen area The fridge is pretty small but there is a good sized toaster and kettle. A free continental breakfast is offered in the upstairs breakfast room Not all the guest rooms have views of the harbour Ours was the carpark Also the air came in through the window or sliding door in the glass wall of our room that ran along the first floor balcony. Block out curtains also blocked out the fresh air and with the curtains open there was not much privacy when others went by on the balcony.. alternatively we could have just used the ac unit and closed the curtains The location was just a few minutes drive to the centre of Nelson Staff are very friendly and helpful There is a washer and dryer are fresh water to top up and encourage reusing water bottles Would stay again but opt for a harbour view room
GGuest UserAlthough the room is not big, it is still quite clean. There is a small kitchen where you can buy ingredients to cook. The downside is that the Wi-Fi in the room is really poor, with basically no signal.
Amazing place to stay. Very close to restaurants, very clean, quiet and the owners are great people. Its a short drive to town. It was a memorable stay. Amazing place to stay. I don't normally write reviews but I saw the lead review for the Deluxe Room and had to respond. Unfortunately, the property certainly does not live up to that review. We stayed here last week for two nights. If we hadn't organised a full day trip we would've moved. The kitchenette is dated and the units are scraped and bashed. The bathroom is awful. Nothing has been done since the 70s I expect. The cold bath tap doesn't work. The jets and spa set up haven't been used in years and are broken. There's a piece of paper Sellotaped to the tiles reading 'spa temporarily out of use'. The shower curtain was disgusting. Surely, that could be replaced in minutes? Many of the single glazed units don't open. It was boiling when we returned from our trip. There are only electric heaters if the weather is cold. Clean sheets and towels. For reference to UK customers this is 2* at best and I'm being generous. Way past it's time for a total refurbishment.
세세계여행매니아The price has the advantage of being a little cheaper than other holiday top 10, but it was a little disappointing that towels were not provided.
The facilities were clean and the staff were friendly, which was nice.
GGuest UserI had the good fortune to spend four nights at Riverlodge Motel. The room was so clean, comfortable and well maintained and owners Edie and Jon were so pleasant and helpful that I'm more than happy to recommend this motel to anyone considering staying in Nelson. As a bonus, the location is only a short walk from the central city and all it offers.
GGuest UserStayed 2 nights attending a wedding at hotel. This place is humming. Garden bar filled with families, locals and cyclists enjoying Nelson’s cycle ways. Gardens are beautiful and immaculately kept. Bar staff are efficient and friendly. Our room was lovely. Very spacious bedroom and bathroom. Tea, coffee and continental breakfast refreshed daily.
I had a double room which was spacious, super clean linen on the bed, the towels were soft and fresh and room was clean and warm, well lit. Excellent sparkling clean kitchens and bathrooms. I’ve stayed there several times before and enjoy how friendly and welcoming Royce, Linda and the rest of the staff are. Reasonably priced also and it’s a great location right downtown close to supermarket, shops, bus station, restaurants, cinema.
AAnonymous UserGreat location, close to the bus stop and the sea.
There was a bathroom in the room and bath towels were provided, so it was comfortable.
I was happy that I could use the washing machine for free.
The woman at the reception was also nice and had a nice atmosphere.
New Plymouth is a wonderful city!
