Very clean and comfortable stay. Complete cooking facilities and well planned food storage location. Spacious communal kitchen and bathroom. Warm and responsible hotel staff. The room is a bit smaller and the room heating seems to be closed regularly. But overall I still like this accommodation very much 😄

Quite a big resort on the shore of Lake Wanaka, a pleasant walk away from the town. We stayed in a 1 bedroom, ground floor apartment which was a good size, well furnished, and well equipped, with a smashing view across the lawn to the lake and mountains beyond. The furnishing is a little dated but other than that, it was all comfortable. We weren't booked in for breakfast - it was good to walk into town first thing - but did book dinner one evening, and that was more than acceptable.

A big motel, the environment is good, and there are children's entertainment facilities, children love it! There is a large bed and a bunk in the room, enough for us 2 big 2 small 4 people to sleep. Although the kitchen is small enough, you can make some food for yourself. When I checked in, there were 2 children, and I was charged an additional fee of $ 50, so the cost performance was not so high.

Want to say a huge thank you to Allan for the most incredible stay. Firstly, the accommodation is to die for. So homely, welcoming and the hot tub under the stars is phenomenal! The lounge area with a huge log fire was perfect for the sub zero evenings- topped off by a visit from beautiful Bonnie! Secondly, his knowledge of the area is second to none! He's got all the food, and more importantly wine, recommendations alongside all the best walking and hiking routes! Even going as far as providing a lift to the walk start and bikes for an afternoon lake cycle! Could not recommend this homestead more, it absolutely made our trip and we will definitely be returning (with friends!). P.S. thank you for defrosting our car this morning Allan! Parking is very convenient, the clerk's attitude is very good, ten minutes drive to the town center, not far from the red dot of the network, the inside is very clean, there is no taste at all, it is very suitable for passing by.

We stayed in Chalet 1 which is a 3 bedroom apartment. Very comfortable and everything you need for a family. Apartment was clean and bedding was very comfortable. Thank you to Pip who gave us recommendations for things to do in Wanaka and restaurant recommendations. She is very knowledgeable about the South Island as a whole. Our plans changed due to a road closure and an extra night was needed and organised with ease. The views are stunning from this motel! In front of the motel is a park and the picture perfect lake. A lovely sight to see!

In fact, it is a hotel, parking at the door, there is a big supermarket next to it. There are many kitchen utensils in the room. You can buy the materials yourself. The key is to be close to the lake. You can walk in a few minutes. The room is clean and the heating is warm. The sound insulation is a bit poor, compared to other motels, the price is very good, but the check-out time can not be delayed, the cleaning staff urged.

Really nice hostel with excellent, clean and spacious kitchen. Heaps of fridge space. Staff were lovely and helpful and I had a good time chatting at check in - they just set a friendly and open atmosphere. My room was great - had the private double with bathroom which was clean and comfortable with a great view of the lake - needs some sort of net curtain though as it felt very exposed with the curtains open as there is a main walkway right outside the window as well as the carpark Parking was easy and secure on site and it’s right by the lake and a quick walk into town - like 1-2 minutes. You’re right by the food trucks and supermarket so you can get a cheap good feed if you’re not in the mood to cook. Wifi needs serious improvement. Couldn’t get a connection in my room without standing in a particular spot and even then it was weak. Decided to try the lounge area but the connection was terrible there too so it’s definitely a hostel-wide issue. If you needed to work here then it would be pretty hard to do so.
