The good and the not-so-good:
Good: very close to the airport, big island (bigger than many other resort islands in the Mals), very good for snorkeling (you will see lots of fish, and even turtles ), services are great. Lots of land & water activities eg. Tennis, badminton, table tennis, kayak. You will have a host who will look after you during your stay.
The not-so-good: some rooms may have out of date furniture, food could be boring if you stay there long time. Airport transfer is expensive and you don’t have any other options but use it.
The must try: Water villa, Snorkelling around the island, their Stingray snorkeling tour
I did a lot of research, so I thought I would see ”this is it!” everywhere, but I was impressed far beyond my imagination.
It was well maintained, which is hard to believe for a hotel that has been around for over 20 years, and the staff were very unique and enjoyed their work, which was also fun.
The breakfast had so many options that I never got bored even though I stayed for four nights. I tried the staff's recommendations and tried the daily specials, and my smile never stopped.
The only disappointment was the weather and not being able to see any sea turtles.
The weather was not quite clear, so...
I went snorkeling at the spot three times, but still couldn't see any sea turtles...
It was quite disappointing, but I still had fun seeing various fish and having a full moon dinner.
Of course, activities and everything you do will cost you at resort prices, so if you have a lot of leeway financially, I think you won't get bored even if you stay for a long time.

It is about an hour from Male's life island. The island is not big, there are prisons, two mosques, and there are many Europeans and Americans who come to the island to surf. The owner Ali is a handsome guy. Very enthusiastic, the small black service for breakfast is more in place, sometimes the owner is very good at tourists. Really good, Chinese people can choose

Very nice and comfortable accommodation. Went with a friend of mine back in October 2023, and we were greeted by a warm friendly receptionist and a clean lobby. Our room was on the second floor, with very comfortable beds, toilets, and necessary amenities. Except that the sink's tap water smelled a little funny which we avoided using. However the reception was quick to send over whatever we requested, like water, clean towels etc. Would definitely book again if i ever visit Himmafushi again next time!

I was very happy during my stay at Sheraton Full Moon Maldives. It was my first time in the Maldives and was very impressed from the moment I stepped out of the transfer speedboat to the hotel. I got upgraded to the water villa and the service was beyond unexpected. We had dinner at Sea Salt on the first night and it was incrsdible amazing. I would really reccommend the place to those who are looking for the right place to stay in the Maldives.
The hotel for price quality ratio was good. Had a slight problem with the air conditioner but they resolved it/replaced it. Breakfast was pretty good but some of the food was too spicy for the customers at the hotel. Drinks for also expensive and I was just on half board so I didn't have any. The staff goes out of their way to be helpful and I had a pleasurable experience. Be warned this hotel has a very dead reef. You can see fish but no reef. One side of the island is not swimmable. I paid $123 for a ocean view room with half board. Drinking water is free and plentiful. Make sure you get half bored because the buffet dinner is 60 US dollars.
The resort and amenities are excellent but a few things were terribly wrong. Being located in the middle of the ocean and constantly exposed to the prevailing weather, one would have thought that the building standards would be up to scratch but sadly they are not. During strong wind and rain, our room flooded. Water entered under doors, around windows and through the ceiling . The curtains, coach and floating flooring were drenched. This is not a new problem as the floating floor boards were deteriorated and loose from this happening regularly. We were moved to another room but still had to endure problems with continuous internet and power outages, fridge and lighting issues. For a reasonably new resort it is a thumbs down for the reasons noted. No offers from management for our great inconvenience and wet belongings!
