To begin with the staff are really nice, and the location is superb! Just opposite the Kasbah a few meters up a lane, which means a lot in a town so steep and confusing that every meter counts. It also has a nice rooftop with panoramic views. But it could use an upgrade and a lot of cleaning. The aircon was out of order and the window too small to make a difference. There was no hot water, and the water in Chaoen is freezing cold! When we told the guy he suggested we use the common shower. You can get better places to stay for this price, but if a bed with clean sheets and towels is all you’re after, Barcelona is not a bad choice.
The hotel is not bad and popular. Chefchaouen is not as good as imagined, this hotel is in the center of Chefchaouen, and the so-called center is the end of a vegetable market. The hotel's value for money is ok, the owner is very nice and the service is very good. The facilities in the rooms are good and clean. The breakfast was made by the owner's family. The orange juice I squeezed was delicious. The little brother at the end was very shy. It is recommended to stay.

We stayed here for 2 nights and arrived quite late to check in on the first night. Location- 10/10 In the heart of the Chefchaouen medina. It helps if you use Google maps or you'll definitely get lost. Hotel/Riad - 3/10 This place needs a refurb. It could be that they were going for the traditional riad design but this just seemed like it was designed 100 years ago. Certain parts need an upgrade. Cleanliness wise it wasn't too bad. Although on the first night, there was bad odour coming from the bathroom. Service - 5/10 The owner had bad attitude and just seemed miserable the whole time. Then I realised that's his personality so I don't think he means to be horrible, it's just the way he is. He offered to sell his riad to me, and has plans to relocate. So I think he is just bored and fed up of running his riad. Breakfast - 10/10 Cooked fresh to order. The usual traditional moroccan breads, pastries, spreads and eggs. Value for money - 8/10 Cheap and cheerful. Okay for a very short stay and you don't plan to sit in all day There weren't many other options around as the town itself is very quiet in terms of tourists.

Spent a night at Riad Nila, my agency helped me book this place, looking online the rate is ~USD150/night for the room I stayed in. A staff from the riad will come to where cars can stop to help with luggages and show guests to the riad. The location is convenient, only a few mins walk to the main square, the alleyways around the riad is not particularly nice though, there was cat poo and stank of cat pee. Stairs to the rooms are narrow and steep. The room and bathroom are decent size. Everything feel a bit tired and cleanliness can be better. One thing in the bathroom that I noticed which is a little disturbing, there’s a small window facing the opposite building which is quite close, when I was using the toilet I was not sure whether people in the opposite building can see inside the bathroom, I don’t think the window is one way glass, the riad should add privacy film to the window to give guests peace of mind. Got really thirsty before I went to bed and I had finished my own water, bottled water was no provided in the room so I had to get changed and head downstairs. Asked the nighttime staff whether there is somewhere I can buy a bottle of water. He was kind enough to get one from the kitchen, appreciate this, but the riad should really provide this in the room. Breakfast is average. The reception and breakfast areas on the ground floor are lovely but the terrace seems to be very neglected. Staff are friendly and efficient.

Nestled within the mesmerizing blue city of Chefchaouen, Morocco, lies a hidden oasis of tranquility and beauty - the Hotel Molino Garden. During a three-night visit in July, my wife and I were captivated not only by the enchanting charm of Chefchaouen but also by the unique allure of our chosen accommodation. Chefchaouen, with its picturesque blue-painted buildings, is a haven for travelers seeking an escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life. This quaint city is surrounded by natural wonders, and its rich history is exemplified by attractions like the old mosque, Sabanin, and the neighboring school named after the 18th-century Muslim theologian Soulayman El Hawat. The neighborhood's watermills, notably the hotel's previous incarnation as a watermill, serve as a testament to the city's ancient past. Our chosen abode, Hotel Molino Garden, proved to be a rare gem at the heart of Chefchaouen. Situated on the outskirts of the old city, the hotel's calm ambiance was an oasis within an oasis. The magical garden, a collaborative effort with the neighboring primary school, transported us to a world of serenity. Designed with impeccable taste, the garden featured bamboo trees, goldfish ponds, and an ingenious layout that cocooned us from the city's clamor, while seamlessly connecting us to the majestic mountain backdrop. The hotel's rooms were an embodiment of comfort and history. Our first night was spent in the Garden Room, a cozy apartment with two bedrooms and a living room, all overlooking the captivating garden. Despite the summer heat, the room remained naturally cool, eschewing the need for air conditioning. The second night introduced us to a separate apartment adjacent to the hotel - a meticulously restored old house exuding aesthetics and charm. Once again, the absence of air conditioning was hardly a concern, as the natural ventilation kept us comfortable. Our final night at Hotel Molino Garden saw us in a cozy room on the upper floor, providing a glimpse of the lively alley leading to the hotel entrance. Each accommodation told a unique tale, seamlessly blending modern amenities with the city's rich heritage. No visit to Chefchaouen would be complete without indulging in its culinary delights. With guidance from locals, we embarked on a gastronomic journey. Restaurant Bab Ssour stole our hearts with its delectable local offerings and incredible flavors. The restaurant's two branches, both boasting stunning terraces and panoramic views, were equally enchanting. Another culinary highlight was Restaurant Triana, where a delightful breakfast and a riverside terrace provided an unforgettable dining experience. Although the food was mostly exceptional, a minor hiccup was encountered with the Tira Asada, where the beef's dryness detracted from an otherwise delightful meal. For quick bites and refreshing juices, the main square led us to MIDO's. Their impeccable falafel and warm hospitality made it a go-to spot for rejuvenating snacks.
We stayed three nights. Everybody at the Maison was polite, helpful and made our stay very pleasant. The rooms are big and very clean, breakfast is excellent, served upstairs on the terrace. The Maison is quite near the Medina, a 10 minute walk. Just perfect for us. There is no lift, but they have a spacious room down stairs. I lost a very small earing during the night and could not find it. I didn't say anything at the reception because it was so small, and with two parts to it, I really didn't think they would be able to find it. When I returned in the evening, I was surprised to see that the lady that had cleaned the room had found the earing, put it together and had left it nicely on a side in the room. So grateful! We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at villa Rita. It’s not right in the Medina which for us was a bonus as we like to stay away from the action in quieter neighborhoods. It’s a short cab ride ($2) from the Medina or a 30 minute walk. We visited at a non peak tourist time so we were given a choice of rooms. They are spacious…bedroom, sitting room, bathroom and kitchenette. Very nicely decorated, clean, comfortable and well appointed. There are 2 outside rooftop terraces for relaxing and nice views. The breakfast was incredible. We had the choice to have it on our room or on the balcony. So many offerings delivered to our room…a lovey over easy egg, crepes, rolls, cheesed, lovely fresh fruit, olives, fresh squeezed orange juice. It’s a guest house, not hotel, so the desk is not staffed so if you want full concierge service you might want to choose a hotel. But, we were warmly greeted and oriented and given keys to the outside door/gate as well as our room so we could come and go at any time. I highly recommend this beautiful, charming, place for your stay in Chefchaouen!
The hotel was a recommendation from a family member and we were as pleased with it. Once we climbed quite a bit of stairs, we found ourselves in a little haven at the foot of the two horns. We were accommodated in the newly built extension overlooking the newly added pool of the hotel and the blue town. The hotel is nicely decorated with Moroccan mosaic, colors and locally sourced furniture. The team is warm and welcoming. Essam on Check in was friendly and efficient as was Mourad during dinner. Since it’s a small hotel, the food menu is presented to you at check in and the dishes are prepared just like at home. Our choices of dinner were delicious, breakfast was as good. All produces the hotel uses are organic and locally sourced. Definitely recommend, just remember a lot of stairs.

Chefchaouen
MM123405678The blue city of Chefchaouen is like a dreamland that is isolated from the world. This mountain city in northern Morocco is famous for its iconic blue buildings.
Entering Chefchaouen is like being in a blue ocean. The streets, alleys, walls, doors, windows and even steps are all painted with different shades of blue. Cobalt blue, lake blue and sky blue are intertwined and smudged, and under the reflection of the sun, they emit a charming halo. Every corner is an excellent place for photography.
The blue here not only gives the city a unique visual charm, but also creates a quiet, peaceful and profound atmosphere. Walking through it, you can feel the leisurely pace of life of the local residents. The traditional Moroccan market is filled with colorful handicrafts, spices and special fabrics, and the rich exotic style is overwhelming.
The architectural style of Chefchaouen combines the characteristics of Arabia and Andalusia. The white-walled and blue-roofed mosque looks particularly holy and solemn against the blue background. There are also many ancient castle ruins scattered in the city, silently telling the past glory and vicissitudes. Looking from the height of the Blue City, the mountains in the distance and the blue houses at the foot complement each other, forming a beautiful natural and cultural picture, which is intoxicating and unforgettable. It is a bright and unique pearl in Morocco.
Chefchaouen Kasbah Museum
闲闲来有趣"Blue City" - Shevshavan after breakfast, the sun began to shine, avoiding the route of last night's night tour, all the way to several famous net red punching points and shooting. On the mountainside, the bird's eye view of the old city is not too blue. Into the streets, it suddenly seemed like entering a sea of various blues. Some good people have found that Shefshawan has dozens of blue, deep blue like the sky and the sea, shallow blue like iceberg snow field, each has a mystery. In the streets of the old city, only photography, if you only take pictures, you always feel that the picture is shortcoming; but once someone enters the picture, they suddenly live. All scenes exist as backgrounds for shooting. Cloudy weather, which changes the intensity of light; maze-like streets, often causing light and shadow mutations. For the use of light, this is the best photo opportunity, but also made the SLR I brought lost the convenience it should be, in addition to the particularly good light or the occasion that needs long focus, or the mobile phone photo is easier to grasp, the effect is better. Of course, it refers to Huawei mobile phone
Bouzafer mosque
JJessigzIt takes about 40 minutes to walk from the old town, climb a small hill, and you can overlook the entire old town of Chefchaouen when you get there, with the blue ocean appearing before your eyes. It has no special features, it's just a landmark.
Medina
JJessigzThe Blue City is built on the hillside, with different shades of blue, and different plants planted in front of and behind the houses add to the different charm. Goods are hung on both sides of the street, and there are restaurants with Chinese instructions, and women and children are all friendly and greeting.
