The property was well located and close to all the activities we scheduled. The room was clean and checking in was really easy. We didn't spend much time at the hotel, but the room had all the amenities we required. However, I asked the property if it'll be possible to check in earlier to which they replied that it can not be arranged beforehand and that the staff will assist us to the best of their abilities when we arrive. We arrived 3 hours before the check-in time. The hotel staff was friendly, but a fee of $5 had to be paid. I don't mind paying a $10 fee, but this could've been communicated beforehand. The property has a really nice swimming pool, but it can only be used until 20:30. Honestly, we rarely spend time at the hotel, but I feel there are better options nearby for the same price.
Arrived at Battambang at 7 o'clock in the evening, and walked directly to the hotel after enjoying the white rose dinner. The entrance passage of the hotel can be described as ”quite special”. The hanging decorative strips have a feeling of American horror story. Step into the front desk, the cool color of fluorescent light. The smile of the waiter and the waiter had a feeling of ”Human Meat Barbecued Pork Buns”, and I hurried into the room. The area of the room was really big. There was a bed in the middle of the empty room. The room with windows on all sides made people can’t help but check everything. The windows, even the bottom of the bed...then we two hit it off and decided to change the hotel directly! ! ! It is recommended that tourists who are willing to spend this little money choose other hotels...
Beautiful, peaceful family homestay. I wish we'd stayed here for all 3 nights as there is more to see in this area than in Battambang town. Loved the hammocks for dozing while listening to the birds. Saro and his extended family all live here (it's a genuine Homestay not purpose built for tourists). Everyone is very kind and welcoming and the meals they made us were delicious. We were cycling and were late arriving due to having to change a tyre but Sairo had kindly waited at the side of the road to guide us. The Homestay is a short walk to the Batcave and is in a typical small village. Saairo booked the boat to siem reap for us and also made sure they would pick up our bikes and that it was the best dock (careful! There are 2 dropoff docks in siem reap for the boat).

We stayed for 2 nights after visiting Phnom Penh and before our journey to Siem Reap, we wanted to see a bit more of Cambodia and Battambang was an excellent choice and so was this hotel, we couldn’t have stayed anywhere better, the only mistake we made was only booking 2 nights! It truly is a little oasis and after the hustle bustle of Phnom Penh was a welcome relief – just outside of Battambang and very peaceful with lovely rooms. We had a lake room and our daughter and partner had a garden room, the garden room was great but the lake room was even better, so relaxing to sit (or use the hammock) by the lake on your own private terrace. The pool was lovely and the staff were very friendly. We ate at the hotel on the two nights we stayed because the food was really good, a wide menu choice and a perfect setting by the pool area. Breakfast was a bit limited but adequate. We came to Battambang to experience the rural life, to see the bat cave and some historical/landmark sites – I booked a full day and half day tour by tuk tuk with Battambang Tours By Bun – it was full on and very interesting and informative, well recommended (I will do a separate review). So if you are planning a visit to Battambang for whatever reasons, fully recommend this hotel.
The hotel is a fantastic place to stay if you want to be away from the busy streets of Battambang. The staff is excellent and attentive - going the extra mile to ensure their guests have a great experience. I stayed here before and did not regret coming back this time. The food was great, and the rooms were clean. Only one thing - if you are unlucky enough to stay at the same time as the neighbourhood is having a wedding party - the loud music could give you a sleepless night. On such occasions, the hotel provides earplugs :-).

Clean and comfortable hotel a quick walk from some nice restaurants near the river. The room was large and clean with a desk, fridge and balcony that from the 5th floor had a beautiful view! It’s easy to get a Tuk Tuk to the Bamboo train or the bat caves (definitely worth a visit).
There was always someone at the desk and we felt safe. The internet wasn’t perfect so I would recommend having your own SIM card if you plan to do online work . Would recommend!
The hotel is in the downtown area, the surrounding facilities are complete, and there are many snacks and food stalls outside at night. The facilities in the hotel are old, and the room will have a little musty smell when entering the door, but fortunately it is relatively clean.
We were enticed by the direct email pitch from Bambu Hotel to book the ”Suite (Premium Room)” at $120 per night, ( discounted to $90 if we booked direct ) which was described as offering a modern experience with stunning views. The top tier of three options available at the hotel, however, our experience was far from premium. The ”premium” room was located on the first floor, directly above the bar / restaurant. This resulted in constant noise, with the bar open till 10pm and the common area in use until 2:30 am on one night. The significant issue is that the balcony is in a direct line of cigarette smoke from bar patrons, making it unpleasant for relaxing on. It's far from a peaceful room from a noise level perspective with all bar and restaurant staff and visitor noise and conversation audible from the room if any doors or windows are open. The room itself was underwhelming and lacked any distinguishing features that would justify its higher price point. From a noise and smell perspective, this would be I suggest arguably the worst room on the property, most definitely not value for money! At $90 / $120 per night, this room is significantly overpriced for Battambang, especially given the many more tranquil and authentic options available in the area. In hindsight, we regret not conducting more thorough research. For future guests, I would strongly recommend avoiding the so-called ”premium” room and considering other options on the property—or elsewhere altogether.
Accommodation date: 23-Nov-2019 (1 night only) Positive: The whole room, including bathroom, is clean and the wifi connection is good. What I love the most is that the balcony faces the river which is quite refreshing and does not make me feel stuffy at all. The hotel is located in the city center which is so convenient and if you are travelling from Phnom Penh, you may ask the driver to drop you near the bridge which is only about 850 m to the hotel. You do not need to cross the bridge or ride until you reach the transportation company at all because most those companies are located at least 1.5 km from the hotel. Negative: The pool area is quite old and not very clean and the male staff does not really friendly. The sky bar is quite crowded sometimes and most of the customers there are not staying at this hotel. Some tips: There are Grab and Passapp (online transportation) available in the city, but it is difficult to find during night time, from 9 pm onward. Also, make sure NOT to hold your phone or any valuable items carelessly during the ride because thiefs would grab it.

GGuest UserA refreshing, green guesthouse with a great restaurant! Just a 5 min ride into battambong city, but make sure to check out the food stalls and shops nearby. Surrounded by rice fields and greenery, a breath of fresh air staying outside of town! Our hosts were so friendly when I arrived with a tonne of luggage and a toddler, everyone helped, and was so friendly during our stay. The room was clean with two large beds, with a curtain between which was great for putting the toddler to sleep before us! We enjoyed a lovely meal at the restaurant with an extensive menu. The pool is gorgeous and the landscaping and decor super cute, would definitely stay here again. Even when I was leaving, they checked we had got everything from the room and brought out my mozzie racket which I accidentally left!
Our bus was supposed to arrive at 6.00 am in Battambang so we didn't plan to book a night for that same day. Instead we arrived at 3.30 am, so we were suddenly in the middle of the night in Battambang. We were lucky enough to find this place. The poor host woke up just for us and got us a room immediately. In a matter of 10 minutes we were already sleeping in our beds, they were our saviours! The room was big and clean, no frills but very comfortable. Definitely super value for money, and really, the hosts were super nice and helpful!
A lovely tranquil family run hostel/ hotel. The layout is peaceful and lush.. lots of greenery. The food is delicious.. tastes like your mum is cooking for you (adding to the family vibe). It is slightly away from the hustle and bustle of Battambang and so does feel like a bit of a sanctuary. Maybe not a European standard 4 star but it is very clean
GGuest UserThe room is tidy, spacious, the bed 🛏️ is very comfortable just what we needed after a long bus and train 🚃 ride. The location is near Lucky Supermarket, Bakery and Bus Station. It's 10-15 minutes walk from the train station. From the market its around 8-10 minutes walk. At night its a bit dark to walk around. Definitely a good place to stay compare to the other hotels that we've tried

DDennis LawHotel service is ideal, sincere attitude, general facilities, room is big enough, clean and satisfied, there is a terrace, air conditioning is frozen enough, unfortunately hot water supply is hot and cold, should be water pressure problems, need to be improved, the pool is not too big, but clean business, suitable for family travel, food and beverage, But nearby restaurants stand, numerous, although slightly expensive, but value for money, suitable for couples, family leisure travel.

AAlepzoBooked as the pictures looked like a modern newly refurbished hotel, however the hotel is very basic, the bathroom had some random pipe coming out of it that dripped water on the floor. There were small ants/bugs all over the floor in the bedroom and on the cabinets where the tv was. Just looking at the room itself it didn’t feel clean. On top of this it’s about a 5 min tuk tuk out of town or 15 min walking. There is literally nothing around it food wise. If I was booking again I’d say get something in town even if it’s slightly more expensive, it will be worth it even in the money spent on tuk tuks.
GGuest UserWe arrived in Phnom Penh at 4 pm & straight away went to Virak Buntham bus station to get to Battambang. However, 11 pm tickets were unavailable so we took the 8 pm sleeper bus. I was told that we might arrive at 3:30 am, so I immediately booked Star Hotel through Agoda. We arrived in Battambang at 4 am & Star Hotel is just a few metres from Virak Buntham's office. The hotel was locked. After knocking for a few minutes, the caretaker registered us. No lift & our room is on the 2nd floor. We booked the cheapest room (no window with a fan) to crash until noon. The room is clean & comfortable, and so are the bathroom & towels. They provided bottled drinks. Good for a night stay.
