At my parents' recommendation, I stayed in a room with a bed and an open-air bath. It's been a while since I've been to Yugawara, but I realized once again that it's easier to access than Hakone, especially the Gora area. The old kanji for camellia is written as ``umi pomegranate,'' and there are motifs of sea pomegranate flowers all over the hotel, and there are many types of sea pomegranate trees planted in the garden outside. If you go up the road outside the entrance of the inn, you will find a walking route along the river. It's a bit of a tough slope for people with bad legs, but I imagine it's spectacular during the season of sea pomegranates, autumn leaves, and cherry blossoms. The inn's gardener took care of such a large promenade, so I think it is well maintained. The room was spacious, and the koi pond and open-air bath in the garden were spacious and the temperature was just right. The bed was comfortable and I had a choice of pillows. Perhaps the head chef and I have the same tastes for the morning and evening meals, but overall the soup was light and elegant, and the food was as delicious as I expected. I wanted my American husband to understand how delicious this was. Nakai-san's service was also good. We made rice balls with the leftover rice from dinner. I was able to enjoy the sake tasting and Haggen-Dazs ice cream in the lounge near the public bath, which made me feel good. When I checked out, I forgot to pick up the item I bought at the souvenir shop, so I called to check on it after I got home, and they sent it to me along with a polite letter. This is a cute sea pomegranate coaster, and I will use it with care. thank you very much. At my parents' recommendation, I stayed in a room with beds and an open-air bath. I saw an inn's gardener taking care of such a large garden, it must be well maintained all year around. The room was spacious, and the koi pond and open-air bath in the garden were elegant and serene. The bath temperature was just right as well. beds were comfortable and I had a choice of pillows. Perhaps the head chef and I have the same taste buds, wonderful ”dashi” umami, and lightly salted meals of traditional Japanese ”Kaiseki” dinner and breakfast were elegant and as delicious as I expected . It was a delighted experience for my American husband to share and understand this delicate taste. Nakai-san's service was also professional. It was very nice of her to have made a rice ball with the leftover rice from dinner. It was a nice extra touch to serve Japanese Sake and Haggen-Dazs ice cream in the lounge next to the grand bath. Sauna was hot and nice as well. I visited for the first time this time. It is best that the large hot spring bath can be reserved. There are two types of mandarin orange bath and cypress bath, and I especially like the cypress bath. The hall was very quiet and I thought there weren't many other customers, but it seemed to be quite crowded (because of the vacancy in the large communal bath). I wish I had a dissatisfaction or guidance, but there was no explanation about it at check-in, so I was worried about whether I could get it. I felt it and became stressful. I also want wifi guidance. The food is delicious and satisfying.
I always go to a fixed inn, but when I used the national travel support, I thought it was a different inn, and it was a high class, so I was a little disappointed, but it was disappointing. I intended to check it properly, but the open-air bath in the room smelled of chlorine due to circulation. The size of the room, facilities and amenities were substantial, and I was glad that there was a fan because it was hot after entering the hot spring even in the cold season. Dinner was an obanzai style, so it was a pity that even the warm items were cold. Atami Fuga was the same, but is the rice cooked with a siphon warmed with dashi soup? It was a performance, but the normal meal was good. The breakfast was served in a multi-tiered box style, and the tofu shop in the neighborhood had a piece of deep-fried tofu with no seasoning, no soy sauce, and it was cold. There was nothing left and most of it was left. The rice in the bowl was cold, and the miso soup with root vegetables wasn't cooked at all. . Is it a young staff who graduated from a cooking school without a head chef, or is it a form of warming and serving ready-made food? No matter which inn I went to, I never left a meal behind, but I'm sorry that there weren't many things that were made, but I lost the desire to eat. No repeats.

Outstanding
GGuest UserVery nice hotel
The scenery is very good
thank you.
It felt like a vacation rental, and I was able to rent a room in a regular apartment. All tableware is available and you can use the kitchen. There was a refrigerator, chopsticks, electric kettle, knife, and everything we needed. I also had pajamas, or rather, loungewear. Since we had a hot plate, we bought some meat from a nearby supermarket and had Yakiniku. It feels like a vacation home and it's fun. It was convenient because there was a convenience store and a drug store that also sold alcohol nearby. It might be fun to stay with a large group.
Don´t both with this place unless its 5000yen. Because the hotel would not sell me food. I was exhausted and wanted to eat dinner. Cant sell me food because its not in the reservation! Had to walk all the way to 7 just to eat, already tired. This so called onsen is an over price ”resort” its no resort. 11000 to sleep on the floor, sit on hard chairs and just take a bath? Silly. if you are hungry late, good luck! NOTHING was open nearby to get food. Town is sleepy and quite, nothing to do really. And of course in Jp fashion, wake up and get the hell out at 10am! No time to do nothing on a one night stay. worthless unless there is nowhere else to stay which was my case. These Hokone ”resort hotels ” are overrated. $100 bucks to sleep on the floor and walk to 7 for a sht meal. Stupid. This place has nothing special. And the free van only runs at select times to likely its useless to you when you arrive. Hotels in Japan suck pretty much. Tired of their rules crap and limits.
