What a lovely place to have a retreat. It's away from the crowd but near the yufuin station....about 500 m. They don't have many rooms so it's quiet. Just outside the hotel is Lawson. Restaurants are also nearby. The hotel looks like a resort with beautiful landscaping. Staff is hospitable and although some don't speak very good English, they try their best. They allow us to keep our luggage at the lobby before check-in and after checkout. The hotel is simply generous with free drinks almost throughout the day and night, free usage of bicycles , beer and instant noodles are sold at a cheap price. It's a self contained hotel. Everything is there. The 4 private onsens are great. Rooms are clean but a bit cramped and it would be good if they have more hangers to hang clothes. A mirror on the wall would be better than a small table mirror. If you're not a cat lover, you might not be impressed when you see their cats walking on the food tables and sitting on the sofas. The small details like a note welcoming you and a photo of you at the end of the stay are why I would love to come back again.

I stayed for two days. The hotel is on the mountain, but there is a car that can take me to and from the station. The hotel service is very good. Knowing that there are children, they have prepared bathrobes and toothbrushing supplies for the children. The room has a private bath, and I often soaked in the hot spring during my two-day stay. It was so comfortable. In addition, my favorite meal is the Wagyu beef on the first night and the shabu shabu on the second night. The breakfast is different on both days. I look forward to meal time every day.
Some of the staff can speak Mandarin or Cantonese, and they are very nice and attentive to help. It is a hotel worth recommending.

This is the failure of the blind hotel selection for this trip to Japan. . In fact, there are many other hotel options in the town. Fortunately, the surrounding environment heals and does not affect the overall travel mood.
The so-called private bath is as small as a single bathtub, and the only outdoor hot spring time is very short. I didn't know that the scheduled dinner was not in the hotel until I arrived. I needed to take a car, and I didn't explain it in advance. It is very similar to a simple ABB standard hotel, which is very different from the expected hot spring hotel. It is also far from the station. The advantage is that it is very close to Jinlin Lake. Get up early and go for a walk. The environment of the town is so beautiful
The attitude of the service staff is very good. After 9 o'clock, they get off work and ask for self service. At this price, I can't complain, and I won't choose it next time

This is not your typical ryokan. The rooms are big with a good sitting area.. The soaking tub and shower had so many mechanisms that it takes a while to figure out all the controls. Every room has a great view of Yufu mountain and the valley. Some of the rooms are free standing units. Service is great and the included dinner is outstanding. It is a typical Japanese kaiseki dinner with numerous courses. Breakfast is entirely Japanese style, and they serve rice, miso soup and fish. Put up with it if your taste is 100% western. You can have a nice cup of coffee or juice near the lobby when you finish your breakfast. Though they will not serve you coffee with the breakfast. Overall, you will be overjoyed with this place.

A great place for one stay and two meals ๐ฌ The hostess was very welcoming and the roast beef for dinner was very delicious. We didnโt understand Japanese but she was still very patient and used the translation tool to explain the different parts of the beef to ensure that the guests chose the desired parts. For example, Wagyu beef has fat and heel. Thin and so on. There is an outdoor and private open-air bath, which is very suitable for family guests. And there is a parking space right outside the door, which is very convenient. Highly recommended๐

The room is very old, the bathroom and toilet are separated, and the bathroom has no mirror. The bathroom and toilet are very high. It takes a pedal to enter. The hot spring is located underground. The health is OK. It is necessary to make an appointment and only one hour to soak. The store's service attitude is very good, because there is no elevator. The store picks up the luggage on the third floor. When checking out, there are also helpers to carry the luggage down, and stand at the door to personally send the guests away. The service attitude is very good. I woke up in the morning and saw that the surrounding scenery was good. There was a mountain and farmland behind it. The air was fresh and very comfortable.

The staff who guided me when I checked in were so friendly that I felt very good from the beginning. The old-fashioned rooms were more elegant and nice than I expected. Amenities were carefully prepared according to the age of men and women, and the cleaning was perfect. The open-air hot spring was better than I saw in the photo, and milk, coffee milk, bottled water and towels were well prepared, so I used it comfortably. I remember not enjoying kaiseki dishes in other hotels before because I couldn't eat flying or fishy food. But the kaiseki dishes in Nihon no Asitaba were very delicious In particular, the kids menu prepared for a 9-year-old was so delicious and generous that the child ate two bowls of rice. Every time you serve the dishes, the staff who explained hard in Korean such as โthis is a sardine, this is an eelโ etc. They were very attentive throughout the meal and were very kind. Although the hardware is also very good, all the staff I met in Nihon no asitaba are really kind and warm, so it seems that it was a happier trip. If you go to Yufuin, you must go back to Nihon no asitaba I'm going to stay.

GGuest UserWe got a transfer from Yufuin Station and arrived in about 5 minutes. The site is large and the buildings are scattered, but it is a compact and simple structure that saves waste on the whole. I chose the maisonette type, but as a result, the one-story type is enough. ๏ผ There is only an open-air bath on the floor, and the space is * landscape and not cozy. During my stay, I only went up twice and it didn't make sense. I ate two meals at the inn restaurant. To put it bluntly, it was a meal that was simple and unimpressed, and probably disappeared from memory after half a year. It is almost left without customer service. There is no problem with the timing of the serve, but it is true that I couldn't feel hospitality for the price and felt a little lonely. The interior and furniture of the room are unified and comfortable, but there is no element that raises the feeling of staying in the hotel and the inn, and it is said that it came to stay in the villa of the person. It's a tough way to write, but I hope you can see it as an evaluation at a price match.

Rro4chThis was our favorite stay during our 11-day Kyushu tour, and it happened to be on our very first night. The room was spacious, comfortable, and incredibly relaxing, and the private onsen was amazingโwe used it both at night and in the morning. The service from the hosts was exceptional. We accidentally left a bag of clothes after check-out, and they had it delivered to our next hotel the same evening! Weโre so grateful to the person who drove up and down the mountain in the dark to bring it to usโit was a 30-minute drive away. Apologies for the inconvenience! Overall, it was an unforgettable stay, and weโll definitely return.

GGuest UserYou can see Mt. Yufu from your room, and although the bath in your room is not open-air, you can enjoy an open view when you open the window. The layout of the room was simple and calming. It was a very nice inn with great attention to detail such as amenities and drink service. Although the food wasn't extravagant, it was just the right amount for middle-aged people like us, and there were free drinks, so we were able to enjoy the food and drinks without worrying about the price. The staff serving the food was also very attentive and had excellent customer service. I would like to stay there again if I have the chance.

GGuest UserFour people stay, the experience is very good, there is a swimming pool, hot spring facilities are all complete (free to see online). The sanitation is one star because there will be some bugs on the ceiling of the outdoor pool in the morning and noon, but when I come back at night, I donโt know if the staff has come or flew away. If you want to go to the pool during the day, there is pesticide on the table and you can spray it yourself.

GGuest UserWe really enjoyed our stay here no doubt about it. The hostel was very clean and the onsen was just lovely. Private room was also nice and inexpensive. However if you have difficulty sleeping like I do please be advised that the walls are very thin! There are earplugs on sale at the hostel please bring eyemask! Also be prepared for lots of loud noises from 8am! Staff literally shouting and using the vacuum cleaner. So if you want to relax until check out I don't think this is the place. We enjoyed the owner singing to us as we left very nice touch

GGuest Userwe are group of 3 adults 2 kids and 1 baby. The hotel is clean, and utensils for cooking are useful. We were able to cook for our own dinner. laundry area with a heating exhaust fan is good for drying clothes over the night.
The only thing is the stairs is a bit dangerous for babies and young kids as they are quite steep. Otherwise our stay had been perfect.

After eating, you must pick up the tableware and remaining food by yourself, pack them up, and bring them back to the main building for return. Good thing you don't have to clean the place yourself. The food was okay, both steaks were delicious, but no drinks were included. If possible, buy some supplies at a convenience store
There is no toilet in my room, so I have to go to the toilet in the main building. I was thinking that if the campground was full, there might not be enough toilets. In addition, in winter, walking from the room to the toilet through the open air is very unpleasant.
If you just stay in the hotel and donโt have a barbecue meal, itโs not bad to try staying in a tent and enjoy a bath.

AAnonymous UserErr hello? This is one of the best boutique hotels Iโve ever been to. The staff were just amazingly nice, given me the full Japanese hospitality treatment.
Limitless alcohol and drinks plus donuts in the morning for no extra charge.
Facilities are well-kept and clean. The onsite onsen is top quality. And the property is located uphill overlooking the town.
Honestly just highly recommend.
