I stayed in a room with a good view on the second floor with my parents and 3 people. It was raining when I arrived at the inn, so I immediately picked up my umbrella and was saved without getting wet in the rain. Check-in was in the lobby with a good view, and we were able to relax and take us to the room while looking at the Great Buddha Hall and the five-storied pagoda. The building is quite old and I can't deny the old feeling, but considering the long history, I think it's reasonable. The rooms are old-fashioned, but like the lobby, you can see the view of Nara from the wide window, and over time, the night view of the city was beautiful and relaxing. The night meal was a room meal, and I asked for both Japanese beef kaiseki and Japanese kaiseki with a lot of fish, and I enjoyed both tastes. Mr. Nakai, who took care of the meal, was very good at trivial conversations with his family. He told me that the cherry blossom season is very beautiful, so I would like to visit next time when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom. There are two large baths and two open-air baths, each, and I enjoyed both baths at night and in the morning because of the men and women change system. The elderly mother was also happy to be able to relax in a large bath and feel very good. When I checked out and tried to get back to the car, the man at the inn outside said, ”Shall I take a picture?” And took a nice picture. It was a weekday and the hall was slow, so it was good to go with my elderly parents. I would like to visit again during the cherry blossom season.

Chef Wang Yu Wen not only delivered a gastronomic experience throughout my teppanyaki lunch course, but he also delivered a very personal one-one dining service experience. His culinary expertise was showcased in every dish despite my dietary restriction, every flavour simply delighted my palate. Kirito did an exceptional service by recommending a great local Nara sake to pair with my lunch course., The second day of Kaiseki was equally delightful and I was extremely surprised to be greeted by the 料理長, Mr Nobukazu Yoshida who honestly provided such an “Omotenashi” experience throughout my time at Azekura. Mr Okubo Ren and Ms Miyamae also delivered great service during my lunch dining on the second day. Overall, the dining experience at Azekura was the highlight of my stay and till now, I couldn’t help but marvel due to the great service that was initiated by Mr Wang Yu Wen. Additionally, I would like to commend the impeccable service I received during the check-in process. I I was impressed at Mr Kim’s patience and service throughout the check-in experience, and I was really glad to get a warm welcoming experience from both Mr Arjun and Ms Pitcha at the lobby. Their attention to detail and willingness to accommodate specific requests made a significant difference, setting the tone for an enjoyable and happy stay. It is evident that the team takes pride in delivering top-notch service, and their efforts did not go unnoticed. Furthermore, the hospitality at the lounge was exemplary. Despite the huge crowd during the festive season, the lounge staff did create a comfortable and enjoyable one. This is a royal guesthouse in Momoyama style, which was built in 1909 by Kingo Tatsuno, the father of Japanese architecture. If you want to find accommodation in Nara, I would strongly recommend considering this hotel. 1) Service: extremely high-quality service, even in Japan, it shows a higher level of standards, giving customers a noble charm, which requires you to experience it in person. 2) Scenic spot: Based on the 115-year history, many places in the hotel are scenic spots, antique, especially the Cherry Blossom Room (guest lobby), many artifacts, including the piano played by Einstein and the photos taken, will surprise you. 3) Food: very delicious breakfast, exquisite, delicious, and full of elegant ritual. In addition, I happened to meet a couple's wedding banquet during my stay, and the picture made me feel like traveling through time and space. I really like this hotel, and I especially hope to stay there for a few nights in the future!

A great small hotel, there are only 2 floors in total, 4 rooms on each floor, a total of 8 rooms, although there are not many rooms, the rooms are so big! At least 28-30 square meters! The rooms are much larger than all the hotels I have stayed in before and after. Maybe it’s because of being in the countryside. There is no shortage of floor. The hallway changes shoes and goes through a short corridor to get to the bedroom room. The bedroom room is very large. It was empty, there was a microwave oven and a sink, there was originally a place for cooking but the induction cooker was not powered on. Perhaps the homeowner cancelled it because he was afraid that cooking would cause too much fumes. The toilet and bathroom are separated on both sides, the space is large, and of course it is very clean. The entrance to the hotel and the room are all digital code locks. If there is no one at the front desk after 20:00, check-in should be timely. The young girl at the front desk speaks quite good English and is very enthusiastic. It only takes 5 minutes to walk from the hotel to the shopping street of the pedestrian street. The only thing that is not very convenient is that there is no elevator and the stairs are quite high. I live in ”Mulian Hua” on 2F204. If the suitcase is heavy, it will be difficult to carry it up. However, the price of 252 soft sister coins is very cost-effective in the off-season.

The room was larger than other Toyoko Inns and the breakfast was substantial. The only drawback was the lack of amenities. As a hotel, I would like to be satisfied, but since it is a Toyoko Inn, I have given up and accepted that.

De Ryokan ligt op ongeveer 20 minuten lopen van Nara Station. Het grootste pluspunt van deze Ryokan is zijn ligging. Meteen naast het hotel wandel je naar de tempels en naar Nara Park. Dat is heel mooi met de loslopende herten, zeker tijdens de Sakura. Je wordt vriendelijk ontvangen en men praat goed Engels. Ze proberen het gasten geheel naar hun zin te maken. Wij hadden een kamer in Japanse stijl met futonbedden. De kamer was ruim. Er was sprake van een gedeelde badkamer maar je had een eigen toilet met wastafel. Wij verbleven hier één nacht. Het ontbijt kregen wij op de kamer. Het was uitgebreid maar geheel Japans. Dus warm eten en dat hebben wij als Nederlanders nu eenmaal niet graag. Wij zijn even naar de Seven Eleven gelopen voor broodjes en koffie. Zoals gezegd, wij verbleven één nacht en dat was maar goed ook. Helaas was het er niet schoon. Dat waren wij niet gewend in Japan. Op het plafond in de kamer vieze vlekken, net als op de muren. In de douche veel haren in het putje. En de futons lagen zeer beroerd. Slecht geslapen daardoor. Jammer want de service van de medewerkers was weer wel top. Maar een volgende keer toch even naar iets anders kijken want de prijs was niet in overeenstemming met de kwaliteit.
