This truly turned out to be an exceptional place. Literally right on the lake, location could not be better. Also near to some shops and restaurants in both directions along the lake road. The beautiful room was very spacious, and the bathroom was almost as big. We were fortunate to get a corner room with two balconies. Tip: Get a room with a balcony! The hotel is also on a rather busy road. The traffic did not bother us at all, but for light sleepers it might be noisy. We also tried the restaurant in the evening. The food and the service were both excellent, top notch. Breakfast was also very good, not a huge selection, but with high quality products. The staff was also very friendly. Would definitely come back!

A little gem of a find! Beautiful, traditional, authentic, clean, small hotel with the most incredible views. The setting is just stunning, whether relaxing by the wonderful pool or sitting in their garden area or eating breakfast/lunch/dinner. It is very peaceful and relaxing. The food was very good indeed. Very good spread for breakfast with freshly cooked eggs to order. 4 course dinner fantastic. Aperol Spritz just perfect! Run by a very hardworking, friendly, unassuming, quiet family. They even ironed my husband's very creased shirt before we attended a wedding at Villa del balbianello! Really appreciated. It's situated higher up, hence those views, so a bit of a walk back from the lake. Took us 15 mins down, lovely walk. Maybe 30 mins up...We arranged taxis for when we headed down in the evening....couldn't do the walk in heels! We were thrilled with this find. We have recommended to all our friends & family who can't believe the view in our pics! We are also planning on returning with our young children. Thank you.

On the plus side, Hotel Bazzoni has a wonderful location, a very good view from the room balconies over Lake Como, and a terraced garden going up the hill with several swimming pools and bars. Included breakfast and a buffet supper which was good. The bar on the ground floor is also stunning. On the minus side, ***y things about the hotel are wanting. When we arrived, we were told it was fully booked and our reservation had been transferred to the sister (and much cheaper) hotel Britannia down the road. We were taken down to see it, but the room was dank and nasty, after a hard argument they agreed to reinstate us in Bazzoni. We were also chased on the final day to check out promptly - our Trip.com booking was for 11am check out but we got a call at 10.30 telling us this had been moved forward to 10am and we needed to check out promptly as they had ***y arrivals that day. The room also lacked water, coffee/tea-making facilities and slippers, and everything extra is chargable - including 5 EUR for an additional keycard (non-refundable...) and 2 EUR for a jug of water at supper. On balance, I would avoid this hotel in future - but if you chose it, come ready to argue for what you already paid for.

It was truly fabulous stay!!! We've been deeply impressed: The best view on the Como lake and one of the best views ever!!! Service personnel – friendly and caring, with that personal touch that you won’t get in most of the big hotels. You couldn’t get the better value for the very decent at the Como lake price! We have just returned (27 Sept - 4 Oct 2023) from the New Market Holidays 8 day Lake Como and Bernina Express tour and are absolutely thrilled with the experience we have just had. Our Tour director Florea Aleandru Gabriel (Alex) met us at the airport and transfered us to our hotel - The Hotel Lario. Alex promised to entertain us and impart his knowledge with us - he did not disappoint, the local and national knowledge he was able to share with us was incredible, and nothing was ever too much trouble for him. He is a real credit to New Market Holiday and himself. The Hotel Lario is a family run hotel that was clean and simple, exactly what was needed for our base. The bed was comfortable, the shower was hot and our room, facing the mountains was quiet and cool despite the unexpected heat. The staff are friendly and always happy to help The food was incredible, it was traditional Italian Holiday food (pasta, meat, potatoes etc) and was always very tasty. We had a choice of 2 starters, 2 mains and a dessert each day for dinner as part of our package. The breakfast was a good continental selection of pastries, fresh fruit, eggs etc. The outside seating are was lovely in the early morning and evening to watch the sun and moon rise over the mountains. The roads from the hotel to the towns are narrow but once we found our confidence walking them was not a problem at all. We used the public boat and bus service on our free days and this was simple and convenient. Taking the slow boat down the Lake to Como is just beautiful and give a different perspective to this stunning area.

It took a few tries to connect with Laura to confirm our arrival, but once we connected, she couldn't have been a better hostess. The building is charming and we enjoyed the quiet town of San Giovanni. The center of Bellagio is about a mile away and a pleasant walk, though there is also a small train you can catch just about a block away. When we did arrive, Laura kindly welcomed us, showed us our apartment, the breakfast room, and then we accepted her offer of a ride into Bellagio as we wanted to explore the area and were unfamiliar. That was definitely exceptional service! Our apartment was huge, and we loved the space to spread out. We are walkers/ hikers, so didn't mind the steps, but it was about 4 flights up. (Good exercise!) Windows are high in this lovely finished attic apartment and offer gorgeous views on 3 sides. The breakfast was wonderful with meats, eggs, cheeses, fruits, pastries, and more. Just steps away there is an excellent restaurant for dinner that is understated from the outside, but very nice decor inside and serves excellent local food with excellent service. There is also a nice Cafe just around the corner for an afternoon drink and snack. We'd happily return and highly recommend this B&B!

The lake view room has a balcony. The view is beautiful and the access is very convenient. However, the WiFi signal is very poor and the network speed is slow.

Just wow! I just finished checking out of this agroturismo and I couldn’t wait to write a review. The hotel is set up on a hilltop with expansive and breathtaking views of Lake Como and the mountains. The hotel is immaculately clean and well kept. I had the lower level room that didn’t have a view but it was massive. The air conditioners worked extremely well. The beds were comfortable, and it even had a washer in the room. It’s about a 10-15 minute walk from the ferry. It’s a bit of a steep walk so if you’re walking with luggage, coordinate with Ms. Mary and you can leave luggage at a restaurant across from the ferry, and they will take it to the hotel for you. The breakfast in the morning was all fresh with items that they grow on site. In the evenings you can have wine and cheese with a view of the sunset. So glad I stayed here, and will definitely come back but with my husband because it’s a very romantic setting.
