Best Saluzzo Hotels

Sono arrivato un po’ per caso, indirizzato qui da un’altra struttura che non aveva disponibilità, ed è stato un colpo di fortuna. Ho prenotato telefonicamente (con e-mail di conferma) per una notte sabato-domenica, senza bisogno di caparra. L’albergo, un edificio plurisecolare ottimamente ristrutturato, sorge in pieno centro storico su una strada tranquilla a un centinaio di metri dalla zona dei locali dove mangiare. Appena vista la mia bicicletta pieghevole (già chiusa, ingombro paragonabile a un trolley), il proprietario, il gentilissimo signor Paolo, si offre e insiste per aiutarmi a portare la bicicletta nella mia camera al primo piano sulla bellissima scala di legno (c’è anche un ascensore, ma sarebbe stato comunque necessario salire o scendere alcuni gradini). Camera (matrimoniale uso singola) spaziosa anche se non molto luminosa, pulita e ben accessoriata con grande TV, bollitore con buon assortimento di tè e tisane e documentazione turistica su Saluzzo. Bagno non grandissimo ma pulito e ben organizzato, con i sanitari separati dalla zona lavabo e doccia con regolazione micrometrica di flusso e temperatura; meglio del bagno di casa! Avrei gradito anche un telo doccia, ma l’asciugamano normale ha fatto benissimo alla bisogna. Letto ampio e comodissimo, unico elemento di disturbo il motore di un’apparato del condizionamento (esterno all’edificio) che si avviava ogni tanto, ma la cui sostituzione dovrebbe essere imminente. Ricco e vario di dolce e salato il buffet della prima colazione, che può essere consumata in una saletta interna oppure nel giardino, accessibile con una scalinata. Il personale della sala si offre di portare il vassoio fino al giardino e di riportarlo. Un piccolo intoppo informatico al check-out è stato risolto subito dal proprietario, che nel giro di un paio d’ore mi ha inviato la fattura elettronica. Molto buono il rapporto qualità-prezzo, se dovessi tornare a Saluzzo sarà sicuramente la mia prima scelta.

Excellent hôtel récellent agrandi et rénové en p’ein coeur de Saluzzo. Chambres lumineuses et dotées de tout le confort. Literie parfaite. Excellent petit déjeuber buffet. Quelques petits appartements aussi, très bien agencés. Parking privé sécurisé. Accueil très cordial par le propriétaire qui parle français. Bin rapport qualité /prix. Nous y faisons halte chaque été et revenons quelques jours ici ou là quand c’est possible. Nous le recommandons sans réserves.

This was my second stay in this hotel The first time was two years ago in the annex but it made me want to come back especially for the pool. This time I came with my family and I booked two Deluxe rooms with Booking. This stay turned out to be very poor. The first morning at 07:30 the cleaning ladies chatted for an hour in the hallway at the door of our rooms without it being possible to silence them even by notifying the reception. Then the cutlery for breakfast was not clean, in particular a very dirty spoon, which a child would not have placed on a clean table and then the next day a chipped glass. Then I did not appreciate the sticky tables at the rear of the garden, uncleaned, the unsightly presence of a basin of stagnant water in this same place which naturally attracts the mosquitoes which devour your ankles, the garbage can in the parking lot which overflows and the grimy underside of the bathroom soap dish. I gave a letter of complaint the first morning at reception, it never had the slightest echo. The management is absent and the reception inoperative. On my return I made an unappreciative comment on Booking which only generated an artificial intelligence message. Although the place is magnificent, the garden well-kept and the swimming pool always very pleasant it is necessary to reckon with a difficult access in the last very narrow roads to the castle where it is better not to cross another vehicle. Finally the breakfast is delicious and its staff friendly, but this is not the case with the management who does not take into account or repair the inconvenience suffered in a so-called 4 star establishment. I cannot recommend this hotel and won’t return.
