We stayed for three nights in the apartment which belongs to the hotel, Dependance Ilaria (the bigger of the two, on the top floor). The situation of the apartment, the view from the terrace and one of the bedrooms, the kindness of the staff and their prompt correspondance are superb. But there are a few niggles. The apartment, about fifty meters away from the hotel, is reached by one flight of slightly steep and narrow stairs and a few more stairs, which continue inside the apartment. We arrived in the evening and left early in the morning so had to carry our luggage by ourselves. Once in the lower level of the apartment itself, you find yourself in a wide living room with a sofa and two pieces of furniture between a pouf and an armchair which double as single beds, nice chest of drawer and other pieces of furniture, some modern some antique, and a tv screen This room faces the narrow road. On the same floor you have a bathroom with toilette, double sink and shower ( both hand held and rain) and a bidet. Towel rack with fluffy towels. Then a bedroom with a comfortable double bed, two narrow high windows and no view, big cupboard, a kind of chest of drawers, some strange wall shelves but no bedside tables. Spare towels, pillows and blankets. Further on, down two steps, there is another room with a double bed which basically takes all the space so I cannot fathom how the wall cupboard can be accessed. This room has a lovely French terrace with a view to the lake. From the living room there is another flight of stairs to the kitchen (table with three chairs, sink, gas cooker, full single fridge , dishwasher, microwave and oven) and from there the access to the big terrace, with a big table for six (but not six chairs) and on a lower level (two rickety steps near the wall, no banister) a smaller terrace with sofa, armchair and another 60s style chair. Air conditioners around the flat and fixed heaters but we needed neither. Although the kitchen has pots and pans and crockery, it lacks basic items such as kitchen towels or kitchen paper, tea, sugar and coffee, although I suppose the hotel rooms have them and if you ask for them at the hotel you will get a few sachets. No milk either, and the only thing you find in the fridge is a bottle of water. This is not of small importance because there is not a minimarket nearby - Ciampanella near Piazza Don Morosini had lovely fresh fruits and vegetables but no milk when we arrived and no fresh bread; the Antico Forno, near the tourism information kiosk, has cooked food bakery items and a few delicatessen. Loads of eating spots nearby. The flat itself is very quiet. Decent wifi. So, if you don't mind stairs and come organised, a stay here could be a dream . My feeling was the owner could do much more to enhance the potential of this property.
I have recently had the pleasure of staying in a special B&B in a four-fold room with my colleagues. My experience has been absolutely positive and I feel I have to share my satisfaction. Firstly, I would like to emphasise the unfair cleaning of the rooms. Every corner was beautiful and bright, creating a comfortable and comfortable environment that made me feel at home. The staff, Mimmo and Katia would deserve a separate review. Both very kind, always ready to meet every request with a smile. Their availability was really great, making my stay even more pleasant. Finally, I would like to make my highest recommendation for this B&B. If you are looking for a place near Rome where you stay offering comfort, excellent service and a pleasant atmosphere, don't look further. I strongly advise everyone to stay here. You will not be disappointed!
Repeat visit to this hotel. Blend of traditional and modern that works well. Spectacular views across the lake, Meals in the restaurant directly overlooking the lake, views are breathtaking. Hotel is opposite the Popes summer residence, which you can see clearly across the lake. Access to lake from hotel, down some steps, you can also walk to other restaurants and bars in about 20 minutes

The hotel is very beautiful and elegant; it is located in Castel Gandolfo and enjoys a great view of the lake Albano, so it is very quiet. The rooms are large and comfortable; even if they have some details to review. Breakfast is absolutely high; it has a wide range of high quality sweet and salty products. The staff is friendly and available. Parking is very comfortable. The hotel is excellent because it is a few minutes' walk from the centre of Castel Gandolfo.

I was with my sister and my 11-year-old son at the New Year's Day with night and breakfast. All wonderful. The clean, warm and large room. Breakfast in Buffet rich and even glutenless. Fish-based veil, all fresh and abundant. Welcome to the room.. Dj and Music from the live fantastic. Marianna who has organized everything was the Top. We will surely return next year :-)
OK, let's not beat around the bush: this is the worst hotel I have stayed at for a very, very long time ! I was there for work, with a group of colleagues, and we ended up demanding a refund several days before we were due to leave because there were so many things wrong with this hotel. As soon as we arrived, the first issue arose: there was zero Wifi in the room I was given (even though we had emphasised before that we needed at least semi-decent Wifi for work). In order to get any kind of Wifi, I had to swap for a room without any air-con (bearing in mind that temperatures were - on some days - above 30 degrees C). So for minimal Wifi (between 1 and 2 bars), I now had to permanently leave my windows open throughout the night, so that I wouldn't wake up soaked in sweat in the mornings. Wifi throughout the hotel was a problem as well - there were hardly any areas where there was decent Wifi - I tried to make a Whatsapp voice call to my office in quite a few areas of the hotel and was usually cut off after about 10-20 seconds or so. Next issue: breakfast - first of all, the quality and selection of food available was very poor - in the bowl of fruit, there were frequently several fruits that were clearly rotting (which seems to indicate that none of the staff ever properly check). Also, whenever a guest is finished with their breakfast and leaves, it seems that none of the staff properly clean the tables afterwards - pretty much every breakfast I was down there, all the tables were still dirty and not properly laid with new cutlery. When I pointed this out to a member of staff, she just laughed at me and didn't do anything. Next issue - noise levels during the night: during several nights I was there, there was an unacceptable level of loud noise going on until the early morning hours - people shouting, partying, etc (at some point, it sounded like there were about 20-30 people or so in the room above me having a party until about 2am). Obviously, the fact that I had to keep my windows open because of the lack of air-con didn't help. Next issue - mould (or 'muffa' in Italian): in my bathroom there were clear signs of mould on the walls - because of all the other issues, I didn't even bother to tell the hotel about this. Finally - management & staff: First of all, I want to emphasise that there were some members of staff who were perfectly friendly (and almost seemed apologetic at times about the state of this hotel themselves). But some of the staff (at breakfast, for example), clearly did not give a s*** about the guests and did nothing at all to help. The manager - and I am guessing a lot of the flaws of the hotel and the staff attitude stem directly from him - was completely disinterested in any form of criticism (or anything else at all, really). He couldn't even be bothered to look up and acknowledge guests when they walked past reception and at some point, when my colleague wanted his room keys, basically just threw them at him. When I told
Excellent modern structure well located in Albano Laziale in the heart of the Castelli Romani with exceptional views up to the Tyrrhenian coast. The context is of total silence and totally green despite being on the edge of a very busy and chaotic area and a short drive (necessary) from everything. Our apartment (no. 7) was very large and comfortable with everything needed for even a medium-long stay. The only flaws of the apartment: poor cleaning and little more than sufficient kitchen equipment. The exterior of the structure, however, is really well looked after in every detail and with reserved parking. The self check in and check out functions perfectly but perhaps makes the whole structure a little too cold and impersonal, very much accommodation for work and those looking for privacy and less of a holiday. Perhaps there would be a need for a more equipped internal info point to provide tourist information on the area (full of things to see) and on how to reach Rome (really close) by public transport. However, a place to recommend and to return to.
