Best Albavilla Hotels

Can I start by saying that the room I booked was nicely decorated and clean it was a junior suite.. The breakfast was basic but ok, the hotel bar was poor.. No one staffing it and didn’t feel welcoming.. The reason for my poor review was unfortunately the receptionist.. I had booked a long weekend away for my partners birthday.. The journey over was not good and delayed us overnight (due to flights, that I believed the hotel had details of through the company I’d booked with) So we had missed the first night, I however had emailed the hotel twice before to check certain arrangements and had heard nothing back.. So I made my way as quickly as possible to the hotel early the following morning to be greeted by a very rude lady on receptionist saying I’m lucky to have the room.. No sympathy or knowledge as to why we were late just utterly rude response.. it’s safe to say we will not be staying here again.. If they’d read my emails they’d of known that it was my partners birthday and his present from me to him.. They ruined our experience there and we felt uncomfortable the whole time there.. Even on purposely missing breakfast (which is paid for) to avoid the receptionist.. I booked this through an agent love holiday who needs to know this hotel is far from Como and is not suitable for couples as there’s nothing at all around the hotel no pool, no bar, no restaurants.. Nothing, it’s more suited for conferences and work.. If we hadn’t of hired a car we would of been spending lots of money on taxis into como.. Such a shame, as Como itself was beautiful.. Just a shame you can’t be greeted with a welcoming smile and manners..

I spent the immaculate in this wonderful hotel. If you think you have stayed in beautiful places it is because you have never been here. The rooms are wonderful, the structure is wonderful, but the most extraordinary thing is the people! I challenge you to find even one who doesn't smile at you or welcome you like you were old friends. But that's not all, I suggest you dine at the property's restaurant: a personal and gastronomic experience that will keep you smiling even as you return home

Check in was smooth and easy with the helpful and friendly staff. A comfortable room and I had one of the best sleeps on a trip around this part of Italy. A clean and modern bathroom too. I had dinner in the restaurant which was very busy and popular and the food was excellent and with large portions at a good price. There is also a large car park outside the hotel where you can park for free. I had a very enjoyable stay and would be happy to book there again.

My friend and I stayed here and booked the junior suite with the balcony. we would highly recommend this room as you have an incredible view of Lake Como. The staff from the outset were incredible and made us feel welcomed. We ate at the restaurant and ordered room service to our room. the food was amazing, especially the gnocchi and Tiramisu! We a fabulous time so much so that we booked to come back next summer on our way back to London 😊 Grazie mille for a lovely short break!
