Spent 3 days and nights at the property. The property stands as true as is possible to its name as it rests pretty much at the base of the Banasura Hill and has absolutely breathtaking views of both the titular hill and those adjacent (which is the first thing you see as you roll into the property). The entire property appears as though it's an extension of the natural environment it's nestled in, which gives it a really rustic feel. One however would feel pleasantly surprised though as you step into the property, to find it to be extremely tastefully done up, and supremely well appointed with any and all creature comforts that you might need while being forest adjacent. Have to highlight in particular how amazing the meals were (particularly lunches which had traditional Kerala fare). We occupied one of their Earth Rooms which we found to be exceedingly spacious yet cozy. The property has 3 to 4 variants of accommodation that are able to accommodate small and large party sizes alike. We found ourselves scrapping our sightseeing itinerary to hole up within the property itself, given that it sprawls so beautifully and the property itself offers each day guided trails through its tea gardens or view points, or the absolutely brilliant nature trail (which we hiked up and down atleast 3 times a day). This was aided by their ample offerings by way of activities both indoor and outdoor (table tennis, badminton, pool, chess, a reading nook even). In and around around short hikes to more forested parts, cute villages and waterfalls, among others. What made the experience the experience though was the Staff at the place. Most of them are property veterans with around a decade of tenure. They were so exceedingly knowledgeable, warm and gracious in how they hosted us - a big part of the reason why our stay felt so very enjoyable I'd highly recommend the place to any kind of traveller (be it friends, family looking to relax and rejuvenate or those looking at adventuring around). One of my most memorable stays at any place in the past, near or distant and I'm eager to have the chance to reprise the visit in the near future.

Apart from management, everything is too good. Sajith promised for blocking the room for early check-in but he forgot. I reached the hotel at 5:30am but later after lot of request, they provided a room 3 hour later around 8:30am. Until then i was sitting in the reception with all the luggage. However, while checking out they were expecting me to pay early check-in price.

Our family of three stayed at After the Rains for five nights and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This place is for those who are happy to just soak in the nature, sit for hours gazing at the clouds and hills, and feel excited to spot a new bird or an insect. It is a little heaven if you are happy to accept nature with all it has to offer- including bugs and unexpected rains. Our plantation and village walks with Paul were super fun and trying out new local cuisine everyday was a great experience. The staff- especially Arjun and Fayaz- were genuinely nice and warm. We appreciate the attention to sustainable practices, using the local talent and resources as much as possible, and a personal touch to everything. It was a pleasure to meet Dr. Srikumar and Vishnu, the owners, whose love and dedication for this little heaven were evident in the way they are nurturing the place.

Property is really good. Awesome view , delicious food, kind staff and great management. Highly recommend food cooked by chef Rajesh, he cooked local Keralite dishes for us was really amazing. Great hospitality by manager and staff. Giving 1 star less just for bad road (as it is under construction maybe) and little far from town, you need your vehicle(you can rent or hire auto or cab) to commute though manager is very helpful , he helped us to arrange bike on rent and taxi for commute.
