Just back from one of their 3 night Gourmet Dining breaks and was so impressed, we're looking at returning over Christmas or New Year's. Rooms were immaculate on arrival with complimentary bottle of sanitiser and although glasses and Tea/Coffee making facilities were removed for hygiene reasons, a quick call to reception had everything we needed, delivered within 5 minutes. Standard double room was a nice size with plenty of wardrobe and drawer space as well as an iron if needed. Rooms look like they've been recently done up. Decent shower/bath as well Our package included a 3 course dinner each night and I'm happy to report that (and both of us agreed) each and every plate served up in the Carriages Restaurant was excellent. Really couldn't find fault with a single thing on any of the plates. Meals can also be ordered without reservation across the yard in the Signal Bar but we didn't eat there and it's a different menu. Breakfast was the usual standard you'll find in any hotel and obviously it's not a buffet anymore so ask whoever is serving you for exactly what you do or don't want on your Full Irish. Plenty of healthier options available too. Anybody worried about how this hotel is implementing Covid regulations can relax as well. Everything I witnessed was beyond what I've seen in most other places but was all done as if it was just normal, everyday routine. Unfortunately, this also means that the 2 bars close at 11pm but that's the current law - just be aware of that in case you think it's like the old style residents bar 'til 2 or 3 in three morning. So, well done and thank you to ALL the staff for making it a really pleasant stay for us in these strange times. Looking forward to going back already.

Abbeyglen Castle was a spectacular addition to our Irish vacation. Aside from stunning grounds and the beautiful castle itself, the owners and staff are very welcoming. Before a lovely dinner, all guests were invited to a champagne toast and a history of the property with an owner of the hotel, after his father played the piano. While we were enjoying the complimentary drinks, photos were taken of all guests. We had no idea we would then see those photos printed and given to all of us as we arrived for dinner. This was such a thoughtful and personal touch. The five-course meal was excellent and they truly pay attention to detail. Each table even had a flag from their country which was very special. Breakfast was also delicious. The rooms are cozy and beautiful, we even had a soaking tub. My only regret is not having enough time to spend at the Spa. Based on our experience, I know that would be exceptional as well. Everyone at Abbeyglen goes to extra mile. Every little detail truly sets this hotel apart from others. We cannot wait to come back and spend more time at this amazing property.

This hotel was an unexpected gain for us. The location is a bit far, but the activities are very rich and the children can play for several days. It's a pity that we didn't play enough! The environment is good and the stay is very comfortable!
