I stayed in the Ballygarry hotel for a wedding last weekend. I was involved with the setting up for the wedding etc. and Thys and Oisin were the most helpful and friendly people Iโve ever met! They took all of the stress off the bride and along with all the other amazing staff, made it the weekend of dreams! The wedding itself was nothing short of perfect! The meal was the nicest Iโve ever had at a wedding. As for the rooms they were all absolutely gorgeous! The grounds of the hotel are stunning and the spa was the icing on the cake. Cannot fault a single thing about the hotel and would definitely recommend!
Loved this hotel, right in the center. Wonderful place to sit with a drink and catch up on some reading. Old style armchairs, an atmosphere of historical charming care and a very up to date food menu. Five minute walk from train and bus station. The staff were lovely, genuine concern and smiles. Definitely my hotel should I ever return.
We recently stayed at The meadows hotel in Tralee for one night , The reception staff where very nice and welcoming our arrival, The double room was large and had a bath with overhead shower and plenty of room for guests toiletries beside the sink which was large , The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the room was well soundproofed so we had a great nights sleep, There are plenty of spacious seating areas for a quiet drink or a lovely bar with background music and a large screen for watching live sports etc but the sound is not to loud as not to be able to have a conversation with anyone, Bar staff also helpful, Breakfast was excellent with your tea/coffee and warm food order taken by the waiting staff who I must compliment for there friendliness and professionalism at all times as nothing was to much bother, You can also help yourself from the continental assortment which again was excellent consisting of fresh fruit, Breads , cereal, jams , Ect , I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel for a short or long stay if touring this part of the world, Also there is plenty of parking at the hotel so had no problems getting parked in a safe place, Thanks to all the staff who made us welcome we really appreciate it, We will definitely return soon ๐

On our road trip through southern part of Irland we stoped in Tralee. Tralee is a small town, I think that is the most interesting information about this city. Maybe i am wrong. The Ashe hotel actual i for a such a small town a big hotel, but still charming. It's looks pretty new, and so everything was in good shape. The hotel is not a typical business hotel, so it's decorated in a romantic modern style. The room has a decent size. We had also breakfast in the morning which was served in as buffet, but in addition you could also order a warm breakfast. Everything tasted good and looked god. The only think which as surprising to us was the fact that the porridge was less thick, but still good. So Tralee is not a town you stop for visit, but if if you look for overnight location the Ashe hotel is a good choice.
Very nice accommodation. A nice older lady welcomed us very warmly. The room wasn't big but comfortable. With coffee and biscuits. The bathroom was modern and clean, big shower. The breakfast room was very well maintained and beautifully set. You could say what you wanted to eat. There was also cereal, yogurt, fresh berries and fruit.

We stayed in this hotel in August 2024. Two of the best things about it: the view---amazing! Mountains and hills, and the surrounding landscape is beautiful. The other thing is the attached restaurant---we had dinner one night and it was great. The included breakfast was also amazing---made to order! Now the not so great....not bad, but we felt a little cheated. The room advertised a KING bed. We found out this is a UK-King, not a normal US-King bed. It was the same size as a US-Queen bed. Not a big deal, but they should mention that in the listing. The next thing: There is no AC in any of the rooms. Again, no mention of this in their listing. Not that much of a problem, because it was cool (mid 60's) during our stay, but in order to get the room cooled down, we had to leave the balcony door open, and there was no screen at all. Luckily, we had no birds, or bugs or who knows what in our room when we returned from our outings for the day. Also, on one of the days, it was raining, so the door couldn't stay open---it rained in the room if you did. Not ideal. We are a couple who likes to sleep in a very cold room---we always turn our hotel rooms down to 68 degrees or less when we sleep. Not sure we ever got below 70 in this room. Next....there is no mini-fridge in the room, and no icemaker in the hotel. We had to ask the front desk for any ice bucket, and they had it delivered from the restaurant to our room, but again, not ideal. Lastly, the room is very, very small---only 2 feet between the bed and the wall, so if you plan on spending any time in the room other than sleeping, it's very crowded. PS---this is a very old hotel---needs some updating. The carpet in our room looked new, so that was nice, but the walk to our room has some very old carpet, walls that need painted, and furniture that looks like it's from the 70's or 80's---and VERY well used. For a short stay (a day or two) it's fine, but any longer---stay at a more modern, updated hotel.
