We are 2 days into our 11 day stay at Spilia village and so far cannot fault the hotel. The rooms are beautiful, manos and the rest of the staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating and the setting is stunning. We are very good food and wine lovers and the food has been fantastic and the wine pairings recommended by manos have been perfect. We have been to Crete a few times and have always struggled to find a place with decent Greek wines, this place has them in plentiful supply. We’re yet to explore all the surrounding areas but the staff are more than happy to provide recommendations on where to explore and the best way to get there. We are looking forward to the rest of our stay and hope to continue this 5/5 star review.

Really loved staying at the Euphoria resort. We stayed here in September and really enjoyed our stay. The level of service was excellent and the food was outstanding. Lots of choice which included catering for my wife gluten free diet. The chefs would explain what she could or couldn’t have which was really helpful. We had a swim up family room with a sea view and seeing this view each day was amazing. The staff who work at the euphoria resort are a real credit to the hotel, they are very polite and attentive with nothing being too much trouble. We had dinner at all four A la carte restaurants on site and each one the food was delicious. We enjoyed the Tuesday night street food and Dj festival with some good music and drinks flowing. The evening entertainment is elegant and might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but a few nights were good and the bar being open until midnight always helps. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the Euphoria resort and would definitely go back. 👌

We arrived at Mrs Chryssana Beach Hotel after midnight as our plane was delayed to find reception all locked up, in darkness and nobody about, our room key was in a envelope taped to the reception door, with just my name on the envelope and the room number, no arrow to send us in the right direction. I apologise to our fellow guests who had to listen to our cases rolling along the floor until we found our room. This is not on there should be someone to greet you as they know you are coming and the next morning i had to ask everything about our stay even after i has informed the girl on reception that we arrived the night before and there was no one to greet us. If you want to know anything ask the older man who is on reception in the evening, he is very helpful and will help you with buses and local knowledge and when they say bus station on the road near the supermarket, they mean a request bus stop, not a bus station as we know it in the UK, but there is a bus station at the end of your journey to Chania pronounced Hania. The hotel used to be family owned, but is now part of a company which owns a small group of hotels and used to be Adults only, but since the 2024 season children are allowed. There is not much for the children to do at the hotel as they only have the children's pool to play in and there is no child menu at meals times. The hotel is in a quiet area with no evening entertainment only the music player at the pool bar and a bit of background music in the restaurant. Most of the restaurants / taverns in the area don't really cater for just going in for a drink, but you can. If you want more livelier places you can catch the bus to the other towns and the buses don't stop till after 1.00 am. Be carful of the old couple who have the restaurant on the main road when you turn left and left out of the hotel to get to the main road, they wave at you to come in, but it's always deserted and if you go in they give you a menu without prices on then give you an extortionate bill at the end. We questioned if we were in the correct room on our first contact with reception as we had booked a elegant room with sea view and balcony, but got a room with a side sea view and balcony, it turns out classic doubles and elegant rooms are the same size and same view, the difference is that the classic doubles are further back from the sea. The family and friends rooms are the closes to the sea and the ones with a proper sea view are the end ones on each side and the ones at the back above the restaurant and i am lead to believe that they are elegant rooms. The reception area requires celling fans and so does the restaurant or some other means of getting the temperature down. the rooms are ok, need more wardrobe space and clothes hangers and draws, the bathroom needs a extractor fan to vent the steam when you have a shower as it's builds up and hangs down from the ceiling. Had a 10 night stay mid September. Hotel is very clean and our room (423) was very good with a pool. Arrived very late but reception sorted us out very quickly and got us to our room quickly. The food is very good and plenty of variety, can get a bit busy in the dining room at certain times but not too bad. Drinks are readily available and are decent. Pool wise it is very good and there is always plenty of beds available. Location wise the hotel is great if you want a quiet get away with the option of hopping on a bus into Chania, which is a lovely place (40 mins at most, but worth it), also a nice walk down the beach to the little fishing village is worth doing, some nice bars. Entertainment is ok, just right for this type of hotel. What makes the place though is the staff, probably the best staff we have ever come across, everyone of them was very helpful and made the stay really good. The pool bar staff are great as are the main bar staff, good fun and great to chat with. The restaurant staff were always helpful and polite. The cleaning maid we had was brilliant and very helpful. Truly the staff are great. Slight negatives are the sunbeds and towels aren't great but that's me been really picky. Also think the Al a carte that you can use once in your stay should be free, they charge you for drinks, just doesn't fell right when all inclusive. Had a great time and would recommend.
