I recently spent a week at Bella Beach in Crete, and I can’t say enough good things about my experience! The hotel itself had a relaxing atmosphere, but what truly made my stay exceptional were the staff members Yaro, the entertainment chief, Giorgo, the young bartender, and Denis who helped organize activities! Yaro was the life of the resort! His enthusiasm and creativity in organizing daily activities and evening entertainment kept everyone engaged and having fun. Whether it was a poolside game or playing bingo, Yaro’s charisma made each event a highlight of our stay. He truly has a gift for bringing people together and creating a joyful atmosphere. Giorgo, the bartender, was another standout. He mixed the most delicious cocktails and always had a smile on his face. His friendly nature made the bar a welcoming place to unwind after a day in the sun. Giorgo was also great at recommending drinks based on our preferences, which added a personal touch to our experience. Denis also played a key role in organizing activities, ensuring everyone had a great time. Together, they created a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made our vacation unforgettable. The combination of Yaro’s vibrant entertainment, and Giorgo’s and Denis’ top-notch service made our time at Bella Beach unforgettable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a fun and relaxing getaway in Crete.

I will start the review by saying the staff are 5*, the reception and other communal areas are clean and tidy, the main pool was too busy and noisy for us, so we stuck with the smaller pool, the sunbed situation did vary day by day but getting one around 9ish wasn’t an issue. When we checked in we were told we’d been upgraded, I hate to think what the room was like that we should have been in, please check the photos for a horrible toilet seat that immediately put you off the holiday, the rusty drain cover in the bathroom, the bathroom door that only opened around 18 inches because of the sink, the unpainted bit of wall where they’d obviously moved the wall light, we had leaking air con (that was fixed). We ate lunch at the snack bar every day that was nice, the evening dinner was ok but nothing to get excited about, we did try the three different cuisine options on offer in the evening at the smaller restaurant, mostly good but the sweet & sour chicken at the Asian night was not as expected, think twice before ordering that, the Greek and Italian nights were much better, service is speedy though as there are a few sittings, you are allowed just over an hour for your dinner. I understand it is under new ownership and hopefully if you are going there in 2025 it will be much improved, the people currently giving it 5* cannot possibly have stayed at a true 5* resort as this in nowhere near currently. I have 450 reviews on tripadvisor, I like to help travellers with a honest reviews, I’m genuinely sad that this was a mainly negative one, but as I said at the beginning the staff are the best part of the experience.

Fantastic first all inclusive experience. As someone who always thought of AI as a place for drunk topless people, I have to say that this really changed my mind. The hotel facilities were spotlessly clean, staff friendly and helpful, rooms spacious and food excellent. The pools were beautiful and clean - not heated but the weather was great (middle of October) and water in the pools was refreshing rather than too cold. The hotel has direct beach access to a clean sand beach with comfortable loungers and shallow water. Room: We had a family room, which was great for our toddler to be able to sleep in a separate room (sliding door), while still allowing us to use the balcony in the evening. The bathroom is on the baby side of sliding door, which was a little annoying but manageable. Spacious room and balcony, great views to the sea from the right hand side of the hotel (rooms starting with 2, I believe) but not from the left hand side (looks onto adjacent Lyttos Beach resort). Kids facilities: our 2 year old loved the pools - you can use the water park at adjacent Lyttos Beach, which had a big splash pad, water park and lots of slides for toddlers. We mainly used the kids pool in Lyttos Mare, which was lovely. Great wooden high chairs in all restaurants, excellent playground with soft flooring. We didn’t use the kids club but little one loved the disco in the evening. Location: 25 mins private transfer from airport, 30 mins to Knossos. Hotel is in the flight path, which our little one absolutely loved.

A stunning and family-friendly hotel with all you could ask for on the grounds. From a beautiful gym, swimming pools galore to an incredible water park on site for not just the little ones but the big kids too… it has it all! The food courts had so much variety too with different settings for different nights. The entertainment kicked in just as I was leaving and the bar side singing was just beautiful, a great touch to the space ito give it that adult-exclusivity feel away from the other areas of the hotel which catered for the whole family.

We had a wonderful family & friends vacation at mitsis Laguna. Alex and the rest of the reception team were super nice and made everything possible to make our stay convenient and fun. Though the end of October was rather chilly already the kids loved the heated pools (I would heat them a bit more:) and the slide was fun as well. The beach is nice but was cold for swimming at this time. The pools bar had tasty crapes and cocktails and on site there are wonderful restaurants, some of the best we had in Crete. Better to book ahead of the stay btw. The main dining room has nice verity (plus attentive to special requests) though some of the main dishes could be better… I highly recommend the fine fish restaurant. The hotel’s facilities are top notch ,loved the tennis court and soccer field, very pleasant family rooms and very well maintained grounds. Beautiful place, as on photos…
