We were visiting family and 4 of us dined here. Firstly my fish was uncooked and I politely informed the waitress, I was given a new meal. By the time it came, everyone else had finished. We ordered tea after our meal and the bill was brought over. We were asked to leave our table to sit in the bar area to finish our teas and coffee???there was no table in the bar area and the waitress rudely told us, they needed our table! Why? No one was waiting! After spending over £70 I expect to be able to drink my tea after my meal without the bill being brought to us without asking for it! We hadn’t even finished and we were being told to move to the bar! Maybe if the fish hadn’t been undercooked, and sent back, we would have finished our meals quicker, even though, we had only been at the table about an hour! Shocking rude service! Will never recommend this place to anyone! Customer service was disgusting!
I really hate to write a bad review, but there was just so little to like about our stay at the Isle of Skye Guest House. I chalk this up to me being a cheapskate and not understanding the Skye market, so DO YOUR RESEARCH. However, I will note that I saw quite a few similar facilities as we drove around the island -- a lot of tired looking inns that probably cost a pretty penny and were proudly displaying ”no vacancy” signs in early September. I started my search for lodging about 10 months in advance of our trip and quickly discovered that many options were already full, cost more than I wanted to pay, or both. So I ended up booking the Isle of Skye Guest House and there you have it. Read the other reviews -- they're all true. Our room was really small, had no storage space, and provided one of the worst beds I've slept on as an adult: the mattress was mushy, sagging, and thoroughly uncomfortable. The walls were thin, the windows old and single pane, and the bathroom so small you had to close the door before you could turn around. Worst of all, the shower flooded and we had to use all our towels to sop up the water. And, as others have noted: there's no staff on site. If I ever find myself staying on Skye again, it won't be here. It's not that it was terrible or unsafe or not clean -- it's just that it wasn't at all what I wanted or expected for the money spent. So spend more -- it'll be worth it!

A big villa, the room is really small, the bathroom is so small that it is difficult to turn around, but it is clean and hygienic, the decoration is warm and comfortable, dinner has to be taken a few kilometers away by shuttle bus, breakfast is in the hotel, it is relatively simple, the level of B&B, more than 3000 room rate in Sky Island can only be like this
Facilities: There are parking spaces, restaurants and bars, but there is no area for walking;
Sanitation: Overall good;
Environment: The location is relatively remote, a bit far from the attractions on the island.
Service: The hotel front desk service is good. In addition to informing various precautions, they also help with luggage. The service level of the restaurant is uneven, some are very professional, and some are just so-so.
In general, compared with the high price of the hotel (more than 300 pounds per night in this season), the cost performance is not high. Maybe the higher the expectations, the more disappointed.
In the very center of Portree on Sky Island, next to the coop, it feels like a hotel converted from an old bar. There is a bar on the first floor, and the accommodation is on the second and third floors, but you can't hear the noise of the bar. Because it is an old house, there is a separation between the upper and lower floors. The sound is not very good, but the price/performance ratio is very good
1. This hotel is actually a homestay. You can check in by yourself. On the day of check-in, you will see a letter with your name at the door, and there is a key inside. The location is very good, just on the slopes of Portree overlooking the whole port. Parking is on the side of the road opposite the B&B. There are 7 parking spaces, but they are first come, first served, and there are usually spaces available.
2. There are many restaurants nearby, but if it is a holiday or weekend, many restaurants need to be booked in advance. A little farther away, there is a Chinese restaurant Panda that specializes in take away, which is actually quite affordable. The Chinese restaurant next to the homestay is average.
3. For sky island tourism, if you only live in one place, Portree is the best place.
The room is spacious and well utilized. This hotel is the most comfortable place for me to take a bath in Scotland. The water is large and smooth. After a good sleep, I woke up to a sunny day and was in a good mood.

Kilt Rock
ZZengZhiGangStanding on the cliff edge of the seabed like a knife, the climate of early winter makes everything in the distance a little foggy, not like a clear sky when white clouds float in the sky, like a veil.
Old Man of Storr
YYpchualocated isle of skye , Scotland old man of storr rock formation is sure interesting the surrounding and the hike itself is super interesting too. we climb 2.5 hour forth and back in the morning before the crowd start to flow in . definitely do it again if we have the chance
Neist Point Lighthouse
Ssuifeng2019Built in 1909, the Cape Nestor Lighthouse is located in the northwest corner of Sky Island, condescending on cliffs, completely different from the lighthouse on the coast, which is said to stand on the edge of the world.
Quiraing
___赛__The most representative scenic spot in the Scottish Highlands, suitable for self-driving, with beautiful scenery along the way. This mountain pass is spectacular and has a large number of tourists. It is green in summer and a little desolate in winter.
Dunvegan Castle & Gardens
Ssuifeng2019The first stop after the Sky Island is Dunvegan Castle. The castle does not look very eye-catching. The fairy flag of the McLeod family can be called the treasure of the town house. There is also a large garden outside the castle, which is worth visiting.
Kyleakin
EE20***63Kelly King Town, a place to provide supplies midway through the car, not too many big shops, but there are several supermarkets that are not bad. I really like these small towns in the Scottish Highlands that are quiet and harmonious.
Skye
___赛__Skye Island is one of the largest islands in the Scottish Highlands. The island is inaccessible, but it has become a popular tourist location in recent years. The scenery on the island is beautiful in summer. If you catch up with the good weather, the scenery here is not lost to Norway.
Fairy Pools
EE20***63This attraction is to hike, but also within the scope of the sky island self-driving, he is actually a waterfall and sea water hedge a place, if your camera is good, you can take a good photo, if the camera is not good, you can use the naked eye to see even.
