Very old hotel, excellent location, 6 minutes walk from Havent train station
It’s very good to walk around the town in the morning. There is a Chinese restaurant on the corner of the hotel that provides take-out.
Public transport from London to Havent is more difficult (train, bus, train)

I can't give this max marks because in modern day, having WiFi that's either terribly slow or completely non existent, makes for a very difficult stay. Especially when the 4G/5G reception is also atrocious.
If you are wanting somewhere unconnected, this is the place for you! Release your inner OAP and give up your devices for the duration of your stay, because you won't be able to use them anyway 🤣

My friend and I stayed in twin room. Waa very impressed with the service given and the room itself was perfect for us staying over for one night for a Christmas get together in Portsmouth. Much as I like village Hotels I wish right across the country they would train bar staff to be more attentive
Because of the design of the bar they more often than not serve people approaching from reception when people have been waiting on the other side of the bar

NO POOL OR SPA FACILITIES AVAILABLE.
Me and the family found out the hard way. Trip and *********** both say there's a pool, spa facilities but there hasn't been since lockdown. Checked it out and its all still there just not in use.
Manager told me it closed due to covid but hasn't reopened due to cost....
Other than that, great sleep and breakfast. Gym is pretty decent, beds are comfy, bathroom shower are nice.
Just misleading. I think it's just to get people to pay higher prices. I felt a bit ripped off to be honest for it being a Marriott hotel.
