The kind of hotel you just want to spend some time at. I walked in thinking: did I really pay the rate that I paid because it seems like a more expensive place. Very nice accommodations, which seemed recently renovated. Big rooms with split bathroom and amenities like a safe, fridge, closet, etc. Excellent breakfast with a rather good selection. Would love to go back again.

This property is NOT 5 star - maybe 3.5 star. The bedroom suite was not clean with dirt on the carpet. Wash hand basin grimy and had to be cleaned ourselves before use, Room drinking water not replenished, tissue box empty, no spare loo roll, etc. Sloppy housekeeping. The decor throughout was tired and worn and cannot even be called shabby chic! Bedroom furniture tatty with drawers and cupboards not closing properly.Restaurant was very mediocre with limited choice. Bread rolls were uncooked inside and butter rock-hard and clearly straight from the fridge. Servers did not know the menu or wine list and to wear trainers in what is supposed to be a 5 star restaurant? Really! Staff should be sent on a training course at a real 5 star establishment to be taught how it should be done. Breakfast was adequate but nothing special. Bad luck if you are allocated a first floor room with others in the room above as the floors creak terribly. This hotel is very overpriced for what is offered. We suspect the owners think they have a good looking exterior (true) which is sufficient to attract guests. Well, we will not be returning and there are so many better properties in the Loire Valley area. Sorry to be so negative but this place was very disappointing and needs to be revitalised with better management )and some money being spent) before it can stand as a five star property.

I cannot find Kyriad’s restaurant name Parvie to review so I will do it here. We just returned our rental car to Enterprise and the guys there recommended we try Parvie for quick snack since we have about 1 hour until our train to Paris arrives. Upon entering, we were greeted by Lucas and Clara. We were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and modern decor of the dining room. Clara had such a jovial and pleasing attitude. She explained and answered all our questions. And Lucas was so helpful and attentive. We told them if they can make our food fast and they sure did! The food selection was just wonderful. We told . We were very fortunate to have gone to this restaurant and have such a wonderful experience provided by Clara and Lucas. Sorry we couldn’t say good y as we only had 5 minutes until our train departs. This is a regular first night stop-over when travelling through France for us. It is very clean and has secure parking.A lift takes you to all the rooms. Each time we have a triple room and it always seems slightly different. This time for three adults our triple was one large bedroom with a double leading into another large room with single bed. The bathroom led off from the single room. If you are familiar with the Hotel B&B group their bathrooms are good but always small. This bathroom was totally different. Usual great shower but large and spacious. After a comfortable night, beds are always great, we went down for breakfast. Your hosts always greet you and breakfast didn't disappoint. Plenty to choose from and fresh. Great for setting us up for the onward journey. The hotel is also situated not far from the main road so you are soon back on course for your next destination. Possibly the seventh time we have stayed here and we will of course be back next year!
