Very clean well-appointed room. The coffee machine didn't work, and the machine downstairs made terrible coffee, undrinkable! The pillows were very uncomfortable, need rectangular pillows. Friendly service. Pictures show everything bigger than it is. Very slow wifi. Great parking.

I introduced this beautiful region to my wife and a befriended couple from Denmark and decided to book a 2 nights weekend getaway at the Hotel Val Vignes in St. Hippolyte. The hotel itself is beautiful and so is the location. The service of the frontdesk team and all the employees we encountered is magnificent. We enjoyed every interaction with them. Beeing it pre- and afterdinner drinks, bike rental, wine storage; everything was great, and as mentioned, the staff is superb. The only disappointment was the actual room. We booked the Premium category, but the room didn't look at all as displayed. We had a parking view and the room was just OK. A bummer as it didn't match the overall wonderful experience we encountered at this exceptional hotel. Also, the room cleaning was not up to standard. Dirty towels (we put on the floor) were taken but not exchanged. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel, but we would ensure we will get an appropriate room per booked category when visiting again.

We booked this hotel through a flyer for 5 nights including dinner. Our room was very spacious well decorated and extremely clean. We had a balcony but we were on the backside of the hotel so we really didn’t have a view but it didn’t matter to us because we were out and about all day. The rooms on the front side have an excellent view of the castle at the top of the mountain. The hotel staff speaks French, Germany and English so it wasn’t hard to communicate with them. Dinner was a 4 course meal with large portions. The only drawback that someone might have is they only have the one 4 course Menü. It didn’t matter to us because everything they served was excellent. We couldn’t have eaten any better anywhere else. By the time dinner was over we were stuffed and satisfied. We will definitely be back to stay here. There is not much in the town but there are towns nearby to enjoy.

We were travelling back from Italy to UK. Wanted somewhere to stop just out of Switzerland (expensive) not far off main route with a late check in This hotel was perfect. Excellent receptionist with good English. Secure parking. Fairly new hotel. Very clean. Comfortable bed. We booked breakfast but would probably have gone to the well know fast food next door if we'd known it was there. Probably not the place to stay if you are on holiday looking for a base, as in the middle of nowhere, but great if only passing through.

Great hotel, we arrive there asking for help and they were extremly nice and helpful. If they help us the way they did without being a customer i can’t imagine what they would do for their clients. They also help us to get a taxi and in selestat its almost imposible to get one and they did, they keep calling until they found one. Literal they save our day ! Thanks

This is a beautiful hotel - so lovely to arrive in the flower filled courtyard. The rooms are spacious and ours came with a little kitchen area which we didn't use, although the fridge was useful. It's a nice place to stay. The food in the restaurant in the evening was mediocre although the service was very friendly. Breakfast was good. The pool area is nice but the swimming pool was too warm when we were there - more like swimming in a bath!

Overall, a good stay. In particular, the evening meal was excellent and the dining room is large and airy with attentive service. Our only issue was with Reception - we arrived early and were told we could wait in the garden until 15:00 which we did. In fact, the room wasn't ready till 16:00 because ”the hotel had been full the night before” but we were irked by the receptionist who was quite rude/discourteous saying that she had ”no idea” when the room would be ready as though she couldn't care less. A little hospitality would have helped.
