At a guess, we have stayed at this Hotel 8-10 times over the past years. I am sorry to say that after our last experience, we will never stay there again. As a 5 Star Hotel, it was slipshod and dissappointing. On arrival, at 16.45 there was nobody on the Reception Desk, but there was a sign which said ” There is nobody on Reception at present, please take a seat and wait ! There is still construction works going on at the adjacent Casino and there are now only 4 parking spaces for guests. which includes one for disabled and one for electric car charging. The only parking is an unattended open car park some 800 metres from the Hotel and I was not prepared to leave a £200,000 car loaded with luggage, laptops, phones and personal items there. The Receptionist agreed that I could occupy a disabled person's bay on the proviso that he could move it if required. The suite on the mezzanine floor was fine apart from the following;_ - Only 5 TV channels none English. - No Notepad or pen. - No list of Telephone numbers to call reception or room service. - Ony 2 towels for 3 persons, when charged extra for 16 year old granddaughter to stay in the suite. Same for Glasses, cups, Tea bags milk. Just 2 for 3 persons. - The Wifi was awful and kept logging you off. Later found out that you could log in using any old name name and email address you cared to enter ! _ One Loo roll ,part used and no spare. - A Huge Stag Beetle was discovered on the sofa and at that point we had not opened the doors to the balcony. We were aware that the main Restaurant would be closed on the Tuesday that we arrived ,but shortly before we left England I received an email that room service would not be available either but we could have a cold meal in our room.Oh well onwards and upwards ! The cold meal turned out to be a choice between smoked salmon, cheese or cold meats each served with bread and butter. No desserts, not even Ice cream. Anyway, we opted for 2 salmon and 1 cheese. After a long wait, the receptionist knocked on the door with the salmon and cheese and a basket of bread which he had himself prepared and it comprised a single baguette cut up into slices and 3 pats of butter. The salmon was just as if it has come out of a packet and there were 6 miserable slices of 3 different cheeses. The cost for this gastronomic extravaganza was €127.00 which included Room service and a warm bottle of white wine( No Ice bucket either). Total cost for a nights stopover with breakfast with hard sausage and rubber bacon was €603.60. Sorry Pavillon, don't expect to see me again.
We stayed here one night en route to the Alps. Since we had booked bed and breakfast we were upgraded to superior rooms and they were very well appointed and comfortable. However like most hotels rooms it was a bit warm for me , the bed was very good. We had dinner and I really enjoyed my St. Jacques with risotto. The dessert was a bit poor but overall I was happy with dinner and the service. The highlight was the breakfast which had a really good buffet with a wide choice of foods, one of the best I have had in a long time. It was not cheap but I would consider staying here again.

Nice and clean apartment on a child friendly park. Well situated next to large park for walking and nice eating facilities close to the city of Lyon. The staff was very friendly and flexible in changing our stay at no extra cost!
Fantastic service from local management (Nicolas & Loic) in helping to correct a digitally manufactured overcharge. I was scrolling my phone to book a stay at the Campanile in Villefranche sur Saone & just before selection the page loading changed (often & irritatingly!) so that I accidentally selected the Ecully hotel. On phoning the central Campanile Management hub within minutes of the accidental mis-selection, I was met with a ”Computer says NO” type response. The woman could read off her screen exactly what had just happened but ”couldn't help me”. Fortunately the strategically sighted humans (named above) were far more honourable and flexible. They listened to my story & refunded me the full amount that I had accidentally paid them. Great kudos! Will certainly stay there if travelling to Lyon in the near future. I did manage to book the Campanile at Villefranche sur Saone stay by the way

Maison D'Anthouard was an acceptable hotel near Lyons. It has ample free parking. There is no elevator in keeping with the historic nature of the house, so the staff will assist with taking your luggage to the room. The beds are comfortable, with fine linens. The grounds are immaculately kept. The staff is helpful -- When our shower overflowed from a clogged drain, the poor breakfast chef who was all alone, scrambled to find us a key to another room so we could finish the shower. Overall, the hotel was overpriced and overrated, but offered a good location.
After a long travel day, I just needed a cool, quiet, dark room with a comfortable bed to help put some jet lag behind me. After checking in, I went to my assigned room to find that is was rather warm. I visited a colleague’s room to see if perhaps all the rooms were warm or if it was just mine, and my colleague’s room was cooler. I reported to the front desk and asked for assistance. The front desk was attentive and responsive, but suggested I give it a few hours to cool down. We ate dinner in the on-site restaurant (which was fantastic) before returning to the room. After two hours, the room was still hot (24-25C) so I asked for a different room. I was given a different room but on the same sunny side of the hotel. The room may have been a little cooler, but not much. Perhaps the A/C is not adequate to overcome the heat transfer through the aluminum window frames or perhaps ok just tried two different hot rooms, but I’d urge caution if staying here on a warm day. I stayed in March (when it was much cooler) and had a very pleasant stay. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, the amenities are nice. If staying on a warm day, I’d suggest a room on the back of the hotel. Perhaps it would be cooler.
Very well priced, modern and very comfortable hotel. Good location off autoroute for one or two nights stay and close to Lyon centre. Good breakfast. Rooms have separate bathroom and loo, modern rain shower with great design and finish. Highly recommended.
I happen to stay at this hotel several times a year as it is convenient for my business. The location is, for me, top notch, especially not far from the motorways for those who travel by car between East (towards Switzerland) and West (towards Bordeaux) of Lyon or between North (towards Paris) and South (towards Marseille). The hotel itself is clean and tidy. The parking is fantastic, very easy with a lot of space, and a special bonus for the electric charging stations which have been in place since around 2022 and which are very useful to me. The rooms are nice and spacey, I cannot fault the staff for the room cleaning either. The restaurant is nice especially in the Spring/Summer with a beautiful terrace overlooking the pool. The bar is decent although a bit dated in my view. The breakfast is OK but not great. My main comment would be on the restaurant room inside which needs some improvement in my point of view. It feels like this is a conference room that has been turned into a restaurant (maybe it is?) and this is not what I expect from a restaurant, which makes me feel uncomfortable. This is why I only eat there in the nicer weather when we can dine outside. This is a minor personal comment however, and overall it remains a very good hotel and I will stay there again.
