The hotel was perfect for us as we were travelling around Northern Spain in our campervan and parking in Ourense isn't easy to find in the city and several hotels the parking was not on site and reviews said parking was tight for a car so we would have struggled with our van. The Exe parking was great with plenty of space, there was a lovely outdoor pool area (although we didn't use it as only there for 24 hours). It was easy to get into town from a bus stop a 3 minute walk away opposite the Meson bar/cafe at the junction on the road to the hotel and was 85c each adult each way. The hotel itself is a little dated and basic, not the 5* it says it is but was clean and the beds were comfy and the room had a tv and fridge plus a hairdryer and shower gel, shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom. The staff were welcoming on arrival. Do not be put off by the location as the bus was easy and cheap and the hotel is not fancy in any way but if you are there to sightsee in Ourense and the room is for showering and sleeping in don't hesitate to book.

* In theory it is a star hotel, but the truth is that its features and services are actually more like a hostel. Because it is just to sleep and little more. Price-quality relationship is not matching. * It is not suitable for people with reduced mobility, because to access the room, it is necessary to climb stairs, which lack the stairs to facilitate their rise. * Room is large and well decorated, with large bed, but the bed is not in its best conditions, so you're sliping the muds throughout the body. * If you need a more complementary coat for health, you have to pay six more for each coat. * There is no dressing box, with which you can't put the bags clothing, except that there is a tie with few pearls. * With a very improved towel service: insufficient. If you need any more, charge six euros more per towel. * Insufficient champagne and gel . * Cup of the wc broke. * Breakfast serves it not through a board load, but through a wooden box passing through the adjacent wall, which does not have a lock on the other side of the room, but on the other side. There is no bar or restaurant. Only a well-decorated room, with a refrigerator, TV, and air conditioning standing, without TV or air controls, with very high temperature, which makes the high heat unable to be there. * It is a few km from the town, completely isolated, and you need your own vehicle for travel.

Hotel located near the old town of Ourense, with 20 rooms, and where the kindness of the reception team is 10. The colleague who attended us in the morning, very attentive, told us with maps where to eat here and in Carballiño (to eat octopus), because he was right in all the places he recommended to us. He told us what to visit in Ourense, I already said a guy of 10 in friendliness and attention to the public. The very quiet room was on the 4th floor, there are only two, it is spacious, with a terrace, the bathtub is a jacuzzi, which is phenomenal. The bed is two beds together, and lasts very well. It has a small closet and a rack to hang clothes, in total 7 hangers. (I think some more are necessary) The only drawback is the little light in the bathroom, for the rest phenomenal. The spa, being a small hotel, has everything that other larger and higher-class hotels do not have as well conditioned. It has parking but you can park near the hotel. A hotel that I would recommend without hesitation.

El hotel cumplio plenamente las espectativas. El trabajador que nos recibio por la tarde, muy amable, nos ayudo con la direccion de las termas y con todo lo que le solicitamos. El desayuno correcto. El dia de salir, rompi la camisa, con un saliente del marco en el ascensor, cuando se lo comunique a la trabajadora de la recepcion, encima pretendio hacer un chiste, a mi desde luego no me hizo ninguna gracia. En aras de no amargarme las vacaciones, lo deje pasar, espero que por lo menos lo arreglen, para que no le vuelva a pasar a nadie.

Barcelo Ourense is a lovely property with spacious rooms and centrally located. Their staff was especially helpful with questions and assistance both prior to our stay and during. I needed to arrange transportation to Miguel Gonzalez and Melissa was prompt and got me what my group needed. Do make reservations at MG and Nova. Both wonderful restaurants.
