Excellent food, spacious rooms, beds pushed together but not secure, some tlc needed in rooms and around site. Lots of loose floor tiles around pool area and broken sunbeds and umbrellas, not enough for all customers. Very limited entertainment and daytime activities. Some helpful staff, but not above and beyond for what is supposed to be a 4 star hotel. Reception staff not consistant, not willing to help with some queries. Feel that this in reality is a 2/3 star hotel at best. Disappointing at times but we made the best of a good break.

Was here for an event and really enjoyed my stay, the rooms are really clean and the location was perfect. The staff was really friendly and helpful, especially Aura and Mary, I have to also thank the room attendant Rosie or Rosa I think her name was as she was always helpful. Food was ok also. Will defo be back and how can I forget it is soo close to the beach also.

Three of us stayed in one room which had two single beds and a double sofa bed. Super comfy, ideal location (30 mins walk from the beach but there is also a free shuttle). Amazing choices with the buffet and also bars where food is available in between set meal times. Free wifi also a massive plus. During our stay it was my birthday and the staff left free cake and a bottle of wine which was so nice of them! Thank you to the staff for such an amazing time, we would definitely stay here again.

Loved the hotel. The staff were always really friendly and super helpful. The hotel and grounds always clean and tidy, and there were plenty of areas to relax around the pool. Breakfast was delicious, and the view from 360-degree restaurant and bar was amazing. Really can't fault the hotel in anyway. We had a problem with the tv in our room but reported it via the hotel app, and it was fixed within the hour. We would happily recommend this hotel to anyone. If we return to Gran Canaria, we will be staying here.

Amazing experience at the Abora Arrived late and hungry not expecting anything but there was a 24hr snack and drink area Our room was comfortable well equipped and very clean Next day our pool & hotel experience was good However best ever was our food the choice is well above average Best good we ve had probly ever in a hotel Massage centre so good my husband returned for second treatment Animation team engaging and hardworking don't miss the aqua fit / dance

This time, I booked two five-star hotels on the island, both of which are owned by riu. Each has its own advantages and disadvantages. The desert is right next to it. The sunset is particularly beautiful, and the hotel staff are also very enthusiastic. The swimming pool is a saltwater swimming pool that feels like swimming in the sea, and the room is not bad. Mine is a pair of two single beds put together. You can also note that you need a single bed. There are a complete range of food and beverages, and you really get what you pay for. The hotel is not too big, but although the sparrow is small, it has all internal organs. The only thing is that when the wind blows near the desert, a lot of sand will be blown, but it doesn't matter if you go back to the room and take a shower. There are buses and taxis outside the hotel, the transportation is convenient, there are restaurants, bars and shops everywhere, and it is a very mature place for vacation and tourism.

Big Warm proper swimming pool Big bedroom with mini fridge, Big clean bathroom with double walk in shower, very Hot and powerful water (rain and wand in the shower). Both rooms were modern, clean and fresh. White all round. Good comfortable (double) twin beds Very efficient air conditioning Big double wardrobe for hanging with hangers provided Kettle and Cups (some coffee pods upon arrival) Powerful Hairdryer Room was cleaned every day to a high standard (hang request tag on door) Grounds were cleaned every day ALL staff smiley and happy Reception staff said hello and acknowledged EVERY time, and were VERY helpful. Good, Quiet location Adults only resort so was quiet and peaceful why the minus -1 The safe is Three Euros PER DAY to hire (Expensive cost over two weeks -bad impression). The walk in shower needs a water lip, but the floor towel stops the trickle of water Sly News is the only British speaking TV channel (dozens of German!) Interconnect door (between adjoining apartments) whilst key locked it would be assuring to see a physical bolt lock on the door. Wifi was free and worked (eventually with help of the staff!) but was a very over complicated way to sign in ＞Sunbeds around the pool were' blocked' by the usual anti-social towel hogs - these SHOULD be removed by staff as there are not enough sunbeds on a sunny day. SUMMARY: The rooms and complex were on par with Four Star hotels we've stayed in Remove the silly little things (safe hire Fee, Retune the TV etc, stop sunbed blocking) and this would be a straight 100% tip; do not book with ******* as their fee does not include breakfast WOULD recommend to stay again :-)

We've stayed at the Abora Buenaventura twice now and both times travelled with Jet2 and had a very enjoyable stay. Rooms are spacious and clean, food can be repetitive but that is to be expected, it's the same in any AI accommodation. We always found something to eat, food is varied and contrary to other reviews was always warm (if its not hot enough there is a microwave). Personally I wouldn't say it's a 4* hotel, but that's just my opinion. The only minor and it is minor criticism is the fridge in the room, it's more a cooler than a fridge so doesn't keep drinks that cold. All in all we would return to the Abora Buenaventura. (There is now a campaign running on Facebook by someone who hasn't even stayed there to get people to leave false 1 star reviews, any 1 star reviews left recently I would totally disregard)
