Best L'Ampolla Hotels

We stayed at The Flamingo at the end of October/beginning of November so it was out of season. The staff seem to work long hours with the same people serving breakfast and then working in the restaurant and bar in the evening. They were all very helpful and cheerful and nothing was too much trouble. Unfortunately the restaurant was not open for lunch but that was not signposted anywhere, which would have been useful to know. The restaurant’s food was good overall, but in the two weeks that we stayed there the menu didn’t change at all, and it was quite limited. There were plenty of places to choose from to eat in the town however, so it wasn’t a great concern. The rooms were comfortable and very clean. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back. The room rates were very reasonable.

Fantastic hotel, if you want to make unforgettable memories, definitely! definitely! I recommend it. The reception is really friendly, unusual hotel, at the historic site One night, unforgettable memories. Facilities It looks old, but it is well maintained and well cleaned. There is a lot of parking space, but it is a little far from downtown.

Lovely hotel/apartments. Very clean in all the main buildings. Lovely outside area, pool could do with clean. Mind you, it is March, so only the very brave or silly would go in it. The surround of the pool has a few sunbeds, but plenty of other seating. Beware, there are no kettles in the room, and none are held at reception. The coffee machine takes the little coffee canisters. Takes ages to try and make a cup of tea. We ended up using a pan to boil water for brews. A kettle in the room would be a good idea. Especially in the apartments. The bar is lovely, all staff are very friendly and will help where they can. We haven't tried the food yet, so I can not comment on that. Parking is underground with limited spaces. This is via side road on the right past the hotel. There is a petrol station across the road, a big supermarket and a LIDL nearby. They close 2100. We didn't see any open restaurants nearby apart the one in hotel. Loads of little extras in the room, toothbrush and paste, cotton wool pads and buds, razor (use at you own peril), shoe horn, shoe shine sponge and a little pack of cotton, needles and buttons.

José María (julio 2023 y Septiembre 2024) Somos un matrimonio que el pasado año (2023) estuvimos 11 días alojados en el Hotel-Restaurante L’Algadir, visitando la zona y creo que fue la mejor elección que hicimos. Es un hotel pequeño de tres estrellas, pero he estado en hoteles de cuatro y este supera a algunos, es muy bonito y coquetón, que no le falta de nada, con su pequeña piscina y zona de hamacas, también dispone de gimnasio. Las habitaciones son amplias con todos los servicios, incluido minibar, el personal muy amables y encantadores, que te dan toda clase de explicaciones cuando preguntas por algún tema de la zona, sobre todo Joan Capilla, -gerente y chef del L’Algadir-, nos sentimos como en casa, salimos pero… que muy satisfechos. Es un hotel para recomendar encarecidamente si visitáis la zona del Delta de l’Ebre, además están comprometidos con el Medio Ambiente siendo el primer hotel en Catalunya en disponer del certificado Ecolabel. Con respecto al restaurante, que ya probamos el año pasado y que nos dijimos que si volvíamos por la zona, teníamos que repetir, porque es algo excepcional. Joan, el chef y gerente, vive y siente la cocina y te la hace sentir si hablas con él, amante de los productos de cercanía y muy respetuoso con la protección del medio ambiente. Pues a principios de Septiembre del 2024 hemos vuelto al restaurante L’Algadir ahora acompañados de nuestro hijo, nuera y nuestra nietecita de 8 meses, aprovechando la estancia de mi hijo y nuera, que estaban pasando unos días en la casa de los padres de ella, que tienen en La Rápita. El restaurante L’Algadir dispone de carta y de tres menús, uno de ellos es vegetal, y todos son del tipo degustación. Nosotros elegimos el menú “somos gastronomía”, porque no somos de mucho comer, y con la cantidad de platos que te sirven, aunque sea de poca cantidad, junto con el plato normal de arroz, te quedas lleno y el menú “del chef” todavía son más platos. Deciros que las personas que atienden la sala Olga y Jhordy (no me he equivocado así lo escribe) y que son los que te explican la composición de los platos y como se deben comer para que en boca se sientas todos los sabores, son la amabilidad personificada, siempre con una sonrisa en los labios, encantadores. Estaréis pensando si me he equivocado de restaurante pues parece que este escribiendo sobre un restaurante con estrella Michelin, pues no la tiene, quizás porque no la ha solicitado o no la quiere, porque por presentación de los platos, el cuidado de los detalles en la mesa, calidad de los productos, los sabores de los platos y el propio comedor, es como si la tuviera, no sé si una, o dos. Aunque tiene muchas certificaciones, incluida la de Michelin Pero mejor que no la tenga.. jajaja, porque seguramente los menús no tendría el precio asequible que ahora tienen, probablemente debería subirlos. Es evidente que todos no tenemos el mismo paladar y a unos nos gusta unos sabores y a otros no, pero os puedo decir que de todas
