Bewertung schreiben Das Hotel liegt außerhalb von Lepe an einer Nebenstraße, die zum Strand von Antilla führt. Es ist schon älter und so gebaut, dass es im Sommer nicht so heiß ist. Im Winter ist es allerdings auch recht kühl, so dass die Klimaanlage kräftig lief. Mein Zimmer war recht dunkel, was an der Vergitterung der Fenster und den Jalousien lag. Das Bad war groß mit Wanne. Es gab für 15 Euro ein Abendmenü, das mir nicht zusagte. Beim Frühstück gab es frisches Brot und frisch gepressten Orangensaft, aber keine Warmspeisen. Dazu Bohnenkaffee aus dem Vollautomaten. Parkplätze gibt es reichlich.

The room and resort were nice. the reception staff were excellent. The breakfast was a huge disappointment...and it cost about the same as the room itself and the charge for our 2 year old daughter was similar to ours. Would not do that again

We went after seeing a Black Friday offer of 117 euros in a deluxe room including breakfast and dinner. We already us ether Spa as we live locally and chose a night in the hotel as a break from cooking and to use the Spa. I loved the sauna and ice pool and my wife the infrared pod etc. The room was nice with a very comfortable bed and a nice Tera e to sit out on and enjoy the winter sunshine. The food was the problem though. We where told dinner was included however when we got there we where not in the dining room which is just to the side of the reception which we looked at while making the reservation and looking forward to sitting in there and being served a meal. Instead it was a self service buffet. The tiniest little dried por chops and some half chicken wings with rice or some cod (basque style) which my wife tried. It was very acidic and tasted like fried tomatoes (tomate frito) straight out of tin. There was some pre cooked spaghetti delightfully drying away under the heat lamps and again that red tomato sauce, some frozen chips and cheap croquettes brought miserably to life with fried only to sit there going dry. At no point in making the booking did any mention this type of food. We eat in the local village a menu of the day including wine or beer for 11 euros which is infinitely bette than the shockingly poor food they served. Breakfast was actually ok with fruit and the usual fried eggs and bacon, bread and baby croissants. Needless to say we went to pavarotties a local Italian restaurant for dinner as did another party of four who took one look at the buffet and didn’t even try it. Staff whee great in the hotel and friendly enough but the food !! Nos hemos sentado un poco engañado !!

We had a 7 day vacation at the golf resort. We were recognised as gold member and received an upgrade to a ‘villa’. It was nice for the four of us my daughter and boyfriend stayed in the main building. In the villa there was no storage in the bedroom and a bathtub on the second floor with a shower, I would update this to a walk in shower there is plenty of space. Breakfast, dinner and 5 rounds of golf were in our package which was great. A bit more different themes during the week for diner are welcome but overall good. You can rent a buggy for 5 days with a package price of €160. We played padel 5 times which was a nice addition activity. Renting a court and rackets is €27,00 for 90 minutes. The golf course is challenging and with 27 holes has a lot of variety. Greens are really well maintained. There is a little train to the beach club that is a nice activity for a day or two. Plenty of fresh fish restaurants.

As non-Spanish speaking guests, we still loved this place! We had the 2 bed apartment with loads of space and cooking facilities, two huge bathrooms with showers in both. The hotel itself had a huge incremental swimming pool was so safe for my 2yr old and 5yr old, plus the baby pool. We used the kids club and Barry disco almost every day, the kids loved it there and even though my son was too small to stay the staff were happy to let us play football with him there and join in on the games! Rafa, Ger and Maria were all fantastic. We were breakfast only guests & it was a short 10-15min distance to walk to the town for dinner. The beach is also on your doorstep, and a supermarket 1min away, what was not to love. One thing to improve is an area for recycling plastic toys. I have seen this in other hotels, rather than bin them if left in the room, create a small reuse area with buckets and footballs that the next family can enjoy. Also less plastic in the fridge, as the hotel already has a water refill area which is amazing but probably under utilized by room guests as it is out in the bar area.. maybe another one needed in reception as an alternative to buying single use plastic. This would improve the positive culture of sustainability mentioned in leaflets left in the room. Overall excellent value for money.

Just back from a fantastic week at Isla Canela Golf Hotel, here follows our review. We were 3 single figure handicap and a 21 handicap golfers from Glasgow area, first time at 4* Isla Canela Hotel and Golf for 6 rounds of golf in late Sept / early October. We booked through Golfbreaks (service from Joey was once again excellent), and would most certainly return to this hotel and the golf courses. Third time to this area of Spain in the last year (previously El Rompido and Islantilla). We had great flights with Ryanair from Prestwick to Faro, all on time. Private minibus transfer from Faro Airport to Isla Canela with Bravo Tur (arranged by Golfbreaks) was just 50 mins along the motorway from Portugal into Spain. Key points were : Staff at hotel and two clubhouses were friendly and attentive at all times. Hotel far better than we had expected, rooms modern and clean, and very quiet. We were on half board, breakfast buffet spot on, it was a set 4 course dinner at night, we'd have preferred a buffet, but could not fault the quality. Restaurant Manager very helpful if you wanted something different which was a nice touch. A pint of Cruzcampo beer was 4.80 euros throughout the hotel and clubhouses. We played the Old Course (300 yards from the Hotel) 3 times and the Links Course (a 10-15 min free of charge mini bus ride away from the hotel), also 3 times. Two very different type of coures, and a pleasure to play both. Both courses in excellent condition, the greens at both were amazing. Buggies were 40 euros each but they had a discount deal of 30 euros per buggy if you booked and prepaid for 10 buggies (which savus us 100 euros), which we did on our first day. No juice buggies on either course, so take plenty of water - it was roasting ! On our last night we went in to the local town of Ayamonte - 10 euro each way in a taxi - place was buzzing - plenty of bars & restuarants all close to the harbour. We found a chinese restuarant and it was excellent. Bars were selling pints of Cruzcampo for 4.00 euros. We should have gone into town more often ! No issues or complaints at all on our golf week, it was excellent, will definately return.
