The opportunity to book the Castle Hotel is very rare. The experience of finding a way out in the hotel's maze of walks is very interesting. There are marks left by the years everywhere. We are very satisfied with the first stop in Spain.
The waiter cleaned the room without knocking on the door first, and pushed the door directly and came in.

The atrium is nice, the hotel room is small but very comfortable. The location is excellent, just across from the cathedral and there are three excellent restaurants around. The hotel’s breakfast was not eaten because there are better options nearby.

The hotel is in the centre right at the door of the cathedral, making any connection to the centre is made in short time, excellent location, the hotel in the photos does not call attention but in perna improves much, it has a painting style painted with details by some author, very good taste, though the lack of renewal of the wood floor that was as much deteriorated because of having had water and gives the feeling that had been with water and has gone, so excellent.

GGuest UserThe hotel is in an excellent location, with its back against the city wall, which can be seen through the window of the breakfast room. The hotel's decoration style is also very good, and the veal in the restaurant is very tender and tastes good. However, the check-in experience is not good. First, the hotel's luggage cart is just a decoration, and no one will come to help pull the luggage. It rained on the day of arrival. I dragged my suitcase awkwardly across the cobblestone road (the last 20 meters) to the ground floor, and then fumbled for the elevator to reach the floor where the front desk is located. Second, the shower in the room was a bit blocked. I used a large shower head on the second night, so the bathroom was full of water. Fortunately, I lived alone. If the second person took a shower, the bathroom could not be used at all, and the water would probably flood the living room. When I checked out the next day, I also greeted the front desk. The front desk attitude was very good and said sorry directly, but was it too late?

GGuest UserEl hotel tiene unas instalaciones modernas en un antiguo edificio a las afueras de El Barco de Ávila. El personal es muy agradable y atento. La habitación, moderna y con todo tipo de comodidades, estaba muy limpia. La cama, extragrande y cómoda, televisión de pantalla plana, buena climatización, minibar, excelentes vistas a la sierra de Gredos y cuarto de baño muy completo y con bañera de hidromasaje... Por último, decir que el desayuno buffet es excelente.

GGuest UserThe reason why I chose this hotel is that it is not far from the ancient city, about one kilometer, you can reach it on foot, and the hotel has a small paid parking lot. The hotel staff were very friendly and enthusiastically gave us directions on the tour. When I was having breakfast, I left my clothes in the restaurant, and the restaurant waiter helped me bring them up. It's just that this hotel is too old and the facilities are not up to four-star standards. As soon as I entered the room, there was a smell, similar to the smell of mutton. Only a quarter of the light ***** in the room was bright. When it was first turned on, the non-lit part flickered. The stone on the bathroom sink was broken and the stone floor was pitted. Unfair. The room is very small and there are no boxes in the empty space that can be opened. There were only three different plastic clothes hangers in the closet, which seemed to have been left by the residents. The breakfast buffet was mediocre and the restaurant seats were stained.

The only disadvantage was that we were given the rooms behind the reception (I understand it is for disabled) and the bathroom had a window that gave the restaurant room, Although the glass was smeriled when lighting was all seen inside, it would be good that you could fix it.
But, for the rest, and I repeat, being a 2 star has largely fulfilled the expectations.
