We were warmly received and checked in. Our room was nice, had everything you need, and even a balcony, but the room would not win a beauty price. Unfortunately it was very warm in the summer and we had to leave the window open at night so we had road and rail noise. I slept with earstops, which is perfect for me. Breakfast was a real highlight. I had previously asked by email whether I could get gluten-free bread what was jawed. Both mornings I got a bread basket with 2 bright & 2 dark breads and 4 dishes toast! And the breads were VERY crushed and delicious. Otherwise, there was everything the heart wanted including a great fruit selection even with paddy beans (it looked very fresh and lovely made itself) and on Sunday morning there was smoking salmon. I stayed in the Landhaus Beckmann for nine nights during a recent work trip. Overall, it proved to be an excellent place to stay for a number of reasons. Firstly, location. Now the hotel is in a rural setting, ie, it's a bit remote. But that shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. I guess Kalkar is 5km away, and there's nothing in-between apart from countryside. But at the end of a long (13 hour) working day, I found its calmness and serenity most pleasant. Next the room. Quiet, very clean and comfortable. Well appointed, and lots of storage space.The only issue with the room was the temperature as the weather was particularly warm. With no air conditioning, it took a while to learn to manage the curtain and window opening and closing cycle to keep the room temperature as pleasant as possible. But I was working with many others in all the available accommodation in the area, and none seemed to have aircon. Maybe it's just the way things are done here? So onto food. Breakfast was relatively simple: cereals with some nuts and grains; red berries and fruit with yoghurts; cold meats and cheese and of course bread. Omlettes were cooked on request. But the breakfast was actually very good. I ate dinner at the hotel most evenings, and being able to sit outside and take advantage of the warm evenings was perfect. The restaurant is reviewed separately, but I found the menu, the servings and the staff to be excellent. I only ate dinner inside once, adjacent to the bar, when it was tipping down with rain. The staff were super: a really friendly and very efficient team who made me feel welcome during my stay. They gave the hotel more of a 'home from home' feel rather than a modern business hotel. And finally, amenities. Lots of car parking, very good wifi. I didn't use the spa as I was pretty busy and I don't really do spas. But I do run, and they were some highlighted routes for running or cycling available just past reception which was much appreciated to prevent me losing my way. Overall, a really pleasant stay, and maybe longer than the average through work! But if I'm here again, definitely would rebook.

Unser Empfang war sehr freundlich, unser Zimmer schön und sehr sauber. Betten sehr bequem. Bodentiefe Dusche, alles sehr gepflegt. Das Frühstücksbuffet hat alles geboten, was man sich wünschen kann: Brötchen, Brot, Käse, Wurst, Marmelade sogar selbst gemacht, Obst und Gemüse, Eier, Saft, etc. Alles frisch und lecker. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig mit schönem Garten zum Sitzen und entspannen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, danke nochmals.

Excellent hotel. Nice room. It is strange that there is no separate bathroom. The sink is like a kind of cooking island in the room and the shower is in the room with a shower door. Something to take into account if the curtains are open or if you are in the room with a colleague. Breakfast is good. Beds are good but the pillows are rubbish. The PIN does not work when paying for parking and breakfast. Cash please. And no receipt.........

We booked a room with our little child to spend two days in the nearby Park Ireland. Until check-in, I had only received a booking confirmation with booking number and QR code (my experience after check-in). In the evening against 19Uhr we were now standing closed with a tired little child - from a code for the key cash box was nothing on the Internet site or in the mail (According to the Internet site, the reception was occupied weekdays up to 22Uhr). I called at the hotline, here I was 2x over a total of 10min in the waiting line and was thrown out of the line twice. Other guests inside have left us in the lobby and continued to get us the nice staff on the phone (after receiving a card via the telephone of the reception via the partner hotel). We should be encoded through the hotline one of the cards on the extraordinary treasure, which did not work so we stood closed to the room door. So with the baby now, overtook the telephone again to the lobby and more minutes in the waiting chain. After the staff had encoded the card again, we could also send the listener directly to the next guests who were closed to the door and also did not know what they should do. After more than 45Minuten we finally could go to the room. 2 stars there are only for breakfast at the adjacent restaurant - here you were very struggling and it was very delicious. What is this for an organization and for which service is here paid over €130 per night? The hotel did not have a feedback on my complaint, but the cancellation was only 30Minuten after the telephone check-out, as the reception was not occupied even in the morning.

There are enough parking spaces on the street. Hotel makes a good first impression from outside. From 19:00 a.m. the reception is no longer occupied. However, the room key can be picked up without problems by means of a number code. Registration information can be made on the next day. Large and clean rooms. Large bed and enough space in the generous bathroom. Breakfast is not cheap but legitimate with 12Euro. Friendly and careful staff. Fresh coffee can be ordered. Also otherwise there is everything.. Cutting, cheese, marmelade, shock-up, various bread, butter, margarine, rooster, brown speck, milk, yoghurt, quark, Müesli etc. Can be recommended by this hotel.
