Best Frechen Hotels

We were positively surprised, the room was modernly furnished. We would certainly not have got such a one in Cologne.Although the city of Frechen from Cologne Dom is 12 km was a visit worth.Even without car well reachable with the tram. Simply everything super.We thank the boy who cleaned our room.Simply made great the purt hat.

Der Standort des Hotels liegt unweit zur AB 1 . Vor der Hoteleinfahrt befindet sich eine Tankstelle; dahinter eine große Fastfoodkette. Die Zimmer sind sehr klein, aber zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Der Servus ist sehr gut. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilft bei Problemen. Parkmöglichkeiten sind kostenlos in ausreichender Menge vorhanden.

Über die Lage wurde hier ja bereits ausführlich berichtet. Das Hotel an sich ist alles in allem ein bisschen abgenudelt ! Das Personal ist zwar freundlich, allerdings im Umgang mit ”Le Club Statuskunden” sehr schlecht geschult. Vorzüge werden einem entweder erst gar nicht angeboten und auf Nachfrage dann nicht richtig umgesetzt. Das Zimmer an sich, war alles andere als sauber ! ARD und WDR waren die einzgen TV programm welches empfangbar waren. Handtücher hatten entweder schwarze Flecken oder waren eingerissen und oder hatten Löcher ! In den Handtüchern, in der Dusche, auf dem Boden im Bad, unter dem Waschbecken und unter der Toiltette waren Haare ! Dann lieber 10€ mehr investieren und zwei Kilometer weiter ins Mercure oder MotelOne ! Eines der schlechtesten und dreckigsten ibis Hotels, in welchem ich jemals übernachtet habe ! Ich kann dieses ibis daher NICHT empfehlen und würde hier nicht noch einmal buchen ! (siehe Bilder)

Stayed at the B&B for one night while visiting Köln. Plenty of free parking and a easy, no hassle check in. Rooms are clean and fine for staying the night. Breakfast is limited but then again it’s only a tenner. Recommend to travel by car and park at P&R Haus Vorst to get onto the line 7 tram to travel to the city center.

The location of the hotel is a bit outside of Cologne in the countryside. Going to Cologne requires definitely a rental car or your own car. It is a very quiet location in the countryside. Good for hiking and biking or walks through the nature. The city center and some supermarkets are about 2 - 3 minutes driving away from the hotel. Walking there is a bit far. Driving to Cologne will take you roughly 20 Minutes, depending on where in Cologne. The Cologne Airport is about 30 to 40 minutes driving distance. The rooms are clean so far and tidy. The disadvantage of our room was, that the bathroom has no window. So all the warm wet air from the shower goes to the room. An exhauster resp. fan in the bathroom is running but cannot catch up with the amount of the warm wet air. The double bed is a bit soft, but anyhow clean. The room itself is big enough for some luggage and 2 people. TV is included as well as hair dryer and safe. What is a bit a pity is, that there is no fridge in the room. Especially in Summer, when you buy some food, and you have no fridge is a problem. The staff at the reception welcomed us heartly. Unfortunately, the rooms can only be entered after 3 pm due to cleaning process. This is a bit uncomfortable when you come too early, but if you know what to do, you can spend the time by other activities. The staff at the breakfast were a bit unfriendly and their faces are more or less looking unhappy resp. strict. This makes us feel very uncomfortable during breakfast, when you feel like a burglar or not welcome. The breakfast itself is a typical German breakfast with bagels and cold cuts. Missing some cut fruits and yoghurt resp. quark. The cold cuts did not taste very delicious, and the liver sausage was definitely cheap. Missing furthermore cream cheese. For international guests not used to this kind of German breakfast will be a disaster. No international food. Only scrambled eggs, that’s it. Jam out of a dispenser was also a bit strange for us. All in all we can say that the hotel is good for a short trip or stay. A longer stay from our point of view will be a problem due to having no fridge. The location in the countryside is nice and quiet, but you definitely need a car for certain activities. The distance to certain cities or sightseeing or activity places is attractive and reasonable. Close to Cologne let you have a nice shopping in Cologne, but a quiet stay for the night. Recommended for a short stay.

The room is newly decorated, warm, and the bedding suits me. It's just that the hot water in the bathroom is not easy to adjust. The breakfast is rich, with only raw tomatoes and cucumbers as vegetables, and no sauce like Thousand Island dressing, mayonnaise or the like. Although it is considered a suburb of Cologne, there are two large supermarkets across the road on the left when you go out of the gate, a shoe store, a cheap clothing store, and a DM cheap drug store. There is McDonald's and KFC just a few minutes' walk behind the hotel, and Decathlon across the road. Because the public transportation situation is not clear when driving.

400e for 2 nights for 2 rooms is a crazy amount of money for an ibis Budget. Just paid 100e less for a Lovely house in Bruges! However, hotel prices in Koln were incredibly high family of 5 we had little choice . Did the job but certainly not worth that amount of money. It was clean, comfy beds and powerful showers as a positive. Let's be honest thank goodness it was at that price. Good location outside of the LEZ zone and a quick hop onto the tram 8 mins walk away.

In Köln-Weiden habe ich im Gartenhotel Ponick für eine Nacht ein Einzelzimmer gebucht. Die Dame an der Rezeption - einfach nur der Hammer. Super freundlich, allerbeste Laune - hier wird jeder Gast auf das herzlichste empfangen. ich kam dann gleich in den Genuss eine Zimmer-Upgrades - Doppelzimmer nach hinter raus zum Garten. Vielen Dank. Alle Informationen zum Haus und Frühstück, sowie Tipps für ein Abendessen in der Nachbarschaft im Veedel, wurden unaufgefordert präsentiert. Klasse. Zimmer und Bad sehr sauber, zweckmäßige Einrichtung. Das Frühstück bietet einen ordentlichen Einstieg in den Tag. Frischer Filterkaffee (immer gut), Auwahl an frischen Brötchen, Käse und Wurst. Sehr leckeres, frisches Rührei. Insgesamt eine Adresse, die ich mir merken werde. Wenn man nicht unbedingt die Nähe zur Kölner City sucht, ist das hier eine klasse Alternative.
