Ein sehr nettes Hotel - nur leider stimmen die Beschreibungen nicht. Schlecht zu finden, da der Eingang völlig zugewuchert ist. Das Zimmer ausreichend groß und sehr sauber. Nur leider hapert es an der Wäsche; Löcher in der Bettwäsche und in Auflösung befindliche Handtücher. Es war an den Tagen sehr heiß - Fenster öffnen nicht möglich, da das Hotel an der Hauptstraße mit Busverkehr liegt. Zimmermädchen sehr nett. Auch die Inhaberin(?) sehr freundlich. Das Frühstücksbuffet sehr gut. Der Pub besteht aus einem Kühlschrank an der Rezeption (Selbstbedienung und Entnahme mit Zimmernummer in einer Liste eintragen - Vertrauen).

We booked an arrangement with 2 nights, including a massage and dinner. The young man who massaged was really very good! All were very enthusiastic about his massage skills. At breakfast buffet was also a young man who quickly booked a common table to our group of 10 people. We were also excited from dinner at Cross Over. Unfortunately, these positive experiences have been overshadowed by the wellness area. The wellness area is very beautiful at first sight and you have a large choice, but in the whole wellness area there were 14 bedrooms divided into 2 restrooms. One of the rest rooms is located in the middle of the sauna area, so it has become very sticky and you can't really relax. Every day you are desperately looking for a place where you can relax and read a book in peace. At a close look, you also see that very many points need to be revised urgently: - toilets are not cleaned - water to drink is often empty - the door to the outer pool does not open when indoor and must be pressed manually - It There is no control of children staying in the area of the 18th century. All in all, this hotel is not suitable for a wellness stay, but they have a very careful and friendly staff.

Now a lot of places have a great concept but do lack in the execution and implementation, not the Bohrerhof. I only wish this place had been around a few decades ago when we used to travel more frequently through this region.... The hotel is brand new with extremely well designed and spick-and-speck rooms with all the comforts that you can imagine, i.e. two different types of pillows per se in your room; USBC re-charger at your bedside (yup, you have to look for them they are well integrated into the bedside lamps :-)); a safe that for once easily fits my laptop and a nice clean fresh design that still feels homely with lots of wood elements, indirect lightning and a great night light function, a gorgeous rain-shower.... Cudos to the architect/ designer who ensured that pretty much all rooms are suitable for mobility impaired guests (wide doors, no clutter, shower with no barrier) and the wheelchair accessible room takes it a notch up and is truely suitable for people in a wheelchair (i.e. roll in shower and handles). A lot of hotels do not understand the difference between mobility impaired rooms and wheelchair accessible - but this one did most definitely. As a bonus for us, our pet was also welcome.... As if that is not enough, the hotel is embedded in a beautiful concept with a working farm and a small farm shop and a restaurant. At the moment the decoration is all with pumpkins and it gives it a really lovely flair... We visited the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. What was impressive was that the kitchen is open from 12.00 to the evening so that you can have dinner at a time that suits you. They have great local produce and the chef knows his/ her/ their ingredients! It is even nicer that it is an open kitchen where you can have a glance at what goes on. The breakfast buffet was superb, a whole range of breads and bread-rolls, eggs in 4 different style, plenty of cold meant and great cheese selection, yoghurt, muesli, fresh fruit, tea and coffee... The staff we encountered in all areas is extremely friendly and very helpful. Now, I know we have bookmarked this hotel for our next trip here in the region....and I am sure that we will enjoy it again!

The hotel is located in a lovely spot in the woods, with walking/trails and birds chirping, outside Freiburg. There is a large terrace to sit on for a drink or a meal. The staff were very friendly and helpful to provide a relaxing experience. I really enjoyed the extensive breakfast buffett. If you are looking to explore the area, it is situated on the way to Alsace so you can go into Freiburg and France quite easily. If you want a hotel right in Freiburg, this isn't it. And the highway is a bit close by so there is some sound, but usually the birds chirping was louder.
