XXingkongxiademujinhuaOriginally, I booked another hotel and it was full, so I decided that this one was too satisfied. It seems that I was not wrong. Inside is a small museum, and the hotel itself is a scenery. The butler is very enthusiastic and the introduction is very detailed! The aunt who cooks is also very good, and the cat joy is too cute. Next time I go to Seda, I have to stay for one night and then see the joy. great

SSalome 罗米Superb hotel, very new! It is a nice and very warmly and beautifully decorated house. Breakfast is provided and yummy!
The rooms are spacious and provide a lot of extras like water, instant coffee, heating blankets, oxygen. The views of the rooms are great!
The hotel is very good located in yading village with a few good restaurants in walking distance.
The real pearl of the hotel is the staff: super friendly and very helpful! Also the owners speak great English! Definitely recommend to go stay here if you hike yading! The park is great!

GGuest UserThe surrounding scenery, open the curtains to see a green alpine meadow, scattered Tibetan houses, the homestay itself is the Tibetan houses of the boss's own, the characteristics of the Tibetan building combined with the boss's explanation will be very clear, the boss is a young couple with Han and Tibetan combination, the room is clean and hygienic, The Tibetan meals are also delicious. The butter tea is different from Lhasa. The taste is like milk. The taste is very mellow. Zhuoma said that it is less. I probably understand that it is the tea made by yak cheese. The taste of black sesame paste is particularly delicate, and it is not the rough taste of Lhasa. The Bamei Tibetans and the Tibetan Tibetans are still very different. In short, the food is very smooth. The bosses are very friendly and kind. We didn’t find a car to go to the snow mountain. The boss and his wife also sent us there very friendlyly. Play with us, talk about the locals’ ancestors and heard from the generations. The story of the snow mountain, the precautions, has always made everyone happy, it is simply the best tour guide, laughing that let the boss develop the tour guide business will be more powerful than many outsiders to be tour guides.

GGuest UserThis hotel was sold during the pandemic and the new owners are doing a great job slowing repairing the grounds. Beautiful gardens and the rooms, dishing and reception areas are all lovely. We booked this place because it has a pool. Well the pool was broken and clearly a long way down the list of things to fix. During this COVID times I can’t imagine guest numbers are huge and we appreciated the really friendly staff and what they have fixed up so far.
There are several dogs and cats at the hotel, which our kids loved. I did not like the big Labrador drooling on my leg during our dinner and asked the staff to remove it from the dining room. One of the other dogs also entered our room uninvited. We have a dog back home in Beijing and are dog people, but I suggest to the management of this hotel that they keep their pets away from the dining and guests areas.
The food was nicely present and we had one of the few genuinely good coffees here. That coffee was a highlight of the week. Staff spoke excellent English and were always welcoming and helpful.
I recommend this hotel and suggest you keep in mind that older reviews are not reflective of current owners and that facilities do not appear as pictured.

AAnonymous UserThe last stop of my trip to Western Sichuan came to Kangding. I personally care about the old and new hotels. I chose a hotel that was renovated in 2024. In fact, it was renovated, but it was only the exterior corridor. The important thing is that the bathroom in the room still looks like an old hotel. It is very old! The toilet, air conditioner, TV, are new and partially renovated (the bathroom shower facilities are very old, the floor tiles still have potholes) and are not renovated at all. The hotel was built in 2008 and has been 16 years old. Forget it. More importantly, I slept with my partner. I scratched a huge itch all night. It was one or two o'clock in the morning. I was too lazy to make a call until the morning. When I woke up and washed up, I found that the plate holding the towels was moldy. I really couldn't stand the collapse. Although the attitude was very good, the hotel was being renovated. The outside guests did not live outside. I hope the hotel would take care of it. The room hygiene is good, but I still like the city of Kangding. It started to rain a little when I returned to the room at night. When the little brother saw us, he enthusiastically gave us an umbrella, but the hygiene was worrying! I rarely write reviews but my body was really itchy and there were a few little red spots on my back.

BBingcunI booked the ”river view” room on the 13th floor and obviously, I stuck gold after cranking my head from my room window, looking down to the raging water roaring through the river in the center of the city street. When I said ”raging” water, I meant cascading flows that echo through the entire city block. I had seen such terrain in Switzerland before but this is more impressive.
So ”location” is the biggest merit and I would recommend never sparing the money in exchange for the river=side room. Plus, the hotel is looking against the famous ”Love Song” Plaza of KarnDin City. For those who wonder what the big deal is about the ”KangDin Love Song”. For starters, it is a part of the Chinese growing-up song that is deeply entrenched in education, for even a person raised in Taiwan, let alone ethnical Chinese in the Mailand. It is more like a pilgrimage than touring that brought many to the city.
The smaller plaza right in front of the hotel lobby begins to gather impromptu dances at about 8 pm (Beijing time, local time ~ 6 p.m.). I admire the local Tibetans of all ages whose spontaneity sways with the music. The hotel doorman told me that yes, there were Han tourists also in the troupe, but you could usually tell them apart because they were the awkward-looking ones.
I have no complaints about the service, and I appreciate the enthusiasm the front desk people show when I try to gather information.
One more thing before I leave: if you are tired of the summer heat, Kangdin is the city you want to come! In late June, the daily high is 12 C!
The travel to the city has made extremely convenient by the recent completed Highway 42--an incredible feat of tunnel engineering in the world.

GGuest UserThis hostel is under different management than what many reviewers have previously written about. The big drooly dog is gone, staff were helpful, and the room clean and comfortable.
We were stuck in Yajiang without transport to Litang, and the hostel owner sent a car from Litang to pick us up on short notice. In many other small things they were helpful.
Location is off the main tourist strip, which we liked. There is construction opposite so keep that in mind if you like to sleep in - with two small children who were quite happy watching “construction TV” we didn’t mind.
Clothes washing facilities were great and we were able to hang everything out in the sun afterward. Very useful given we are cycle touring and don’t have many clothes!
Ronin gave us each a small hand-made gift on departure, which our kids loved. He and his staff made us feel welcomed and cared for. They are slowly fixing up some things clearly left in a poor state (like the bar building) but with COVID still affecting tourism in China I guess they need to prioritise. We had a great stay and highly recommend this hostel - thanks Ronin and team!

GGuest UserA nice location. Friendly staff. Not used to taking foreigners, took ages for them to get everything they needed done correctly. Stayed here because friends had already booked and we just followed them.
Staff were friendly, dinner delicious. Breakfast was poor. We arrived for breakfast at 8:15 and already most food was gone and staff did not replenish when I asked for more, which was disappointing as breakfast didn’t finish until 9:30. When I asked for a spoon for my daughter, the answer was that there were no spoons left. In a restaurant that seats easily 100 people.
The room’s toilet ran loudly and kept us awake. I ended up turning its two off at the wall. The fancy mirror at the room entrance has an extremely bright blue light that lit up the whole room and also kept me up - I felt like I was in a public toilet with that horrible blue light that stops junkies from finding their veins.
Overall I do not recommend this hotel. The breakfast was crap and insufficient, the room was meh. I do recommend their restaurant for dinner as the food was delicious!

PPongnarinThe sign board is in Chinese only. So, it is quite difficult for foreigner like me to get to the right building. Even my local taxi driver can not. Fortunately, the owner lady and friends are sittings at the roadside waiting for customers or passerby who looks for an accommodation.
The owner lady is very generous and servicible. She helps me carrying my big luggage from street to the homestay. She also show me how to use facilities in the room. She speaks only chinese but I can not. So, she suggest me to contact her via Wechat which I can use translation feature. In the morning before I am going to visit Yading Scenic Spot, she offers me an treking pole too. Nevertheless, Due to the early departure time of bus to Xianggelila, I figure out whether I move to stay in town for another day after finishing 3-day booking here. She asks me if I have nothing to do in town and decide to continue staying. She can provide a free pick-up to the bus station by her family car at 5.30 a.m. That is great.
The room is small and simple but tidy. Bed is firm and comfortable. It comes with electronic blanket which helps alot because it is freezing at night. Bathroom and toilet are clean. Hot water is provided all day in night. Shower pressure is strong and easy to adjust the temperature. However, bathroom and toilet are humid and difficult to dry because of the cold weather. Wifi is strong.

GGuest UserThis hotel is located a little too far walking distance from the town (15-20 mins all downhill) however, it is more affordable so a good place to stay if you are more on a budget like us! The man at the front desk was not very welcoming when we first arrived. He literally pointed at the Sichuan app and wanted our green codes NOW!!!!!! A quick hello or welcome (even in Chinese) would have made us feel a little more comfortable upon our arrival after an 8 hour journey! That being said, check-in was super fast which was much appreciated and the room was clean and comfortable. We struggled to actually sleep because other occupants were yelling in the hallways constantly. My husband had to tell people to be quiet!!! I think hotels should make more of an effort to ensure that hallways are NOT a space for loud conversation! Please remind your guests to respect the space in which they share with others. The following day, the same man who checked us in was much nicer and said a friendly goodbye. That made us feel a little better about our stay. I rated amenities lower due to no water bottles in the room and no information given to us regarding what and where available amenities even were. I believe this information should be shared during check in and/or explanations available in each room for guests to easily access. Overall, it was a decent stay but I would not return to this hotel. Service is such a big part of a hotel experience and if guests do not feel welcome, there is no point staying in that place.
