The guest house was renovated. It is beautifully located and well accessible. The food is good and the environment very pleasant. In the theatre room is just listed a operaette, “The Kreolin”, very recommendable and to see up to 16.11.2024.
We stayed here for a night; I think that if you want to have two businesses, you must make them both work well; otherwise I don't see why not only one but impecable. This to say it is really uncomfortable to go the other side of the road to the hotel where check in, breakfast etc actually takes place (extremely over priced for such a service, 17 francs per person per night), It is also uncomfortable to go there at the reception if you find any problem. The hotel's reception is inexistent, so we must forcefully turn to that twin for anything, but it does not seem normal or comfortable to get up in the heart of the night in pyjama and to go 5 minutes walking to ask for a In addition, it was impossible to sleep for the warm, but literally impossible. We called the reception asking whether it was possible to have a portable air conditioner or a fan but we were told to just open the windows (Captain Obviously, as if we didn't do it as soon as we arrived).
Really lovely hotel that exceeded expectations. The room was big and clean. The kitchenette in particular was useful to have, and pots, pans, cutlery, etc were provided when requested. Shirete was an amazing, welcoming receptionist, incredibly helpful - no request was too much. The hotel is also situated in a great location if you want to visit Lucerne, Zurich and even Interlaken. Also a fantastic location for views of Mt Rigi. Would definitely stay here again for future central Switzerland visits.
Very nice hotel
Cabin style
The corridor outside the room is too dark
Be careful.
The hotel has two buildings, opposite the lake, you can swim.
There is a sauna on the ground floor of the hotel, but it seems that there are no men and women, very doubtful.
Free coffee tea and hot water are provided on the second floor of the building near the hotel.
You can make coffee and go to the lake.

Overall, the hotel seems to offer a pleasant stay with its clean and cosy atmosphere, spacious rooms, and stunning views. The standout positive is the extremely friendly and helpful staff as they peovide a full basket of toys to my child in the room, along with the restaurant's good food. However, a notable downside is the lack of AC as our stay coincided with an unexpected surge in high temperatures, which might require guests to rely on opening balcony windows for ventilation. Additionally, the proximity of the restaurant directly below the rooms could lead to noise issues from the voices inside the restaurant. Overall i would recommend it for a couples, golf players and to whom seeking a retreat from city crowds. Remarkably, it's just an 8-minute drive to the Chapel Bridge at the heart of Luzern.
The Villa Maria is an ancient villa that was adorably renovated in minimalistic design style. We had booked the suite to the garden, from the balcony of which you can also see the lake. Positively highlighted were the digital top made booking, check-in on-site as well as check-out. There was a small welcome package with nicely made tips and the small house bar was always stuck. All was very clean and hygienic, there were beautiful rituals products in the bathroom. We were very pleased to see the online page where the staff of Maria and Sejour gave their ”secret” tips for Luzers. Apart from the Touri mainstream, we were allowed to experience Luzers from a very different page. Thank you for this! Breakfast in the nearby Beau Sejour was very wonderful, we enjoyed this morning....a fine selection, wonderful coffee, super friendly service, nice people, wonderful atmosphere. Great. The location of Maria is top, bus right in front, but you can also walk very comfortable at the lake to Lucerne. To the lake and to the beautiful walking distance are 2 minutes, often we jumped into the lake early and evening fast yet ... However, there are also a few Critical points: The street behind the villa is strongly driven, even to the lake we had to close the windows early. To the street it would have been clearly too noisy for us. From the internet we would have expected more art, more atmosphere. It was all very noisy, a carved staircase, no community room or library, the garden was not accessible...a little disappointing. Even the ”lounge” of our lounge was not necessarily invited, it would have made more sense in our eyes to switch the two rooms so that the living room opens to the balcony. A little more light, a little more deco would do well. In that sense, the price is really very proud, yet we can summarise, that we had a really nice time and thank the hosts. Maybe one or other will be implemented!
Built in 1874, this grand hotel primary serves couch tour groups from around the world. We saw groups from Korea, Germany, and the USA. The rooms were refurbished in 2005 and bathrooms were modern and large. Some of the common areas are getting a bit tired and they were renovating the kitchens when we were there. Miguel mixes great Aperol Spritz and Hugos in the lobby bar. The hotel is a 1 minute walk to the lake front promenade and 10 minutes from old town Lucerne via bus 6 or 8.
