Modern hotel with a central, rustic restaurant area in the center of the building. Friendly, courteous service. The food in the restaurant is very fine and nicely presented. A small but distinctive wellness area rounds off the offer. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired. The only thing that takes some getting used to is the not completely closed toilet compartment in the modern room.

We considered to stay during five nights in a wonderful place like Brienz, and we choose the Alpenrose thanks to some good recommendations from friends We stayed in one of the traditinal hauses they manage next to the Hotel, and we enjoyed a wonderful stay, all in the appartment was very clean, both kitchen utensils and bed linens in perfect stay and cleans, Breakfast was included in price and was fantastic, not a huge breakfast buffet, but the most important, the quality of food, some of them made by them like jams and marmalades, next to a superb friendly and helpful service from the members of family owners of the complex.
There were 16 of us for 2 nights. Everyone loved the hotel and we felt very comfortable. The dinners in particular were excellent. We also really appreciated the fact that the 4 children were given special attention. It is worth mentioning that the food was prepared for 4 people with special allergies and that alternatives were served as a matter of course, and these were also excellent. A huge ”thank you” for the commitment, the cooking skills and also for the great service. We will definitely stay at this hotel again and can only recommend it.
The location, the appearance is first-class, the room facilities are relatively old, and the antique furniture is also popular. It is not as good as expected, but it is not bad. You can drive into the hotel. The road is relatively narrow. There is an access control card on the last section of the road. Finally, I contacted the hotel in advance to ask for the password. Will take the initiative to tell you these precautions. Regarding the up and down of the cable car, sit for a while, hotel guests are free, you need to show your room card, remember to watch the timetable, don't miss the last bus. The view of the restaurant is very good and the service is attentive, but the food is as bad as ever, oh, I am not saying that this hotel is bad, I mean that all restaurants in Switzerland are bad (this breakfast is very good, you can go early, choose Facing the location of the waterfall, but the dinner is really hard to describe), unpalatable is one thing, full of ritual, each dish is served slowly, come up to explain to you what raw materials are used in this dish, how to make it, and if you actually taste it All restaurants in Switzerland, including but not limited to this one, are lacking in color and fragrance. My wife waited for the desserts to be served and hurriedly retreated. She panicked and forgot to take the bag. There is one thing to say, the service is still very good, the waiter put the bag at the front desk. Rory talked about it in a long way, hoping to be useful to the tourists behind.
We found this to be a nice hotel and good value for the time of year. The hotel itself is very historical, and served as a hotel for hundreds of years, establishing as a place for religious pilgrims to go. The patron saint of Switzerland is buried at the church next-door. The hotel isn't fancy, and you do self-check in. It worked pretty well, and folks at the bar/restaurant will help if you are stuck - people working at the hotel are friendly and helpful. There is a decent elevator (which is not a given in Europe) and the included breakfast is reasonable. We had a junior suite for our party of 3, and it was basic but nicely appointed. Only problem is that the pull out couch was super uncomfortable, so my daughter just slept on it as a couch. There is no air conditioning, which isn't a problem most of the time, I'm sure. We had dinner at the restaurant downstairs one night and it was fantastic! Both food and service were outstanding, and a great find in a small town like Sachseln. We liked basing in Sachseln - all of the charm of Lucerne without the crowds and high prices, and close to places like Interlaken, Lauterbrunnen, and Grindlewald. One more warning: the church next door has bells ringing a lot. Our junior suite didn't have a lake view and I am glad because lake view would have been directly by the church so the bells would have been louder!
I came to Switzerland again because I came to work in Lautenbronn last time and then went to the Jungfrau. So I wanted to have a different experience this time. When I saw the Interlaken Hotel, I found this lake lodge hostel, a youth hostel in Isertwald. After viewing the map, I found that it was on the edge of Lake Brienz. The hotel was also on the lakeside, and set up a trip with friends. Two families, four big and two small. Istrewald is located on the east side of Interlaken, directly from Interlaken ost train station by bus 103. Each hour of 05 minutes is the bus departure time, every hour, about 20 minutes. Isertwald is a small village, but the scenery is beautiful, with few tourists and very quiet. Upon arrival, I went directly to the hotel. The hotel owner is a young couple, very friendly, the hotel has a great view and the balcony is facing the lake. But the hotel is a wooden structure, and everything should be soft and afraid of affecting others. The hotel has a kitchen, kitchen utensils and cutlery that can be used at will. I didn't see the supermarket here, so I can take it from the big supermarket in Interlaken ost station. The hotel has a free bus card to pick up and drop off to Interlaken. This time I took the drone and took a lot of beautiful lake views and the video of Isertwald. There are a lot of wild swans in Lake Brienz. The swan is not afraid of people. In short, this is a very beautiful and quiet village.
