This was our 3rd time staying here. The first time we stayed for our anniversary and it was a pleasant surprise. Last summer we decided to go back for a week and see how it would go, we enjoyed it so much, we stayed in the Castledown, it was just my hubby and our two dogs, it was quaint but only large enough for us and the dogs. They did have a stove and microwave but only a hotel-sized frig. Staying a week we felt perhaps we needed a little larger cabin with a frig as well. So this year we upped our reservation and picked the Birchgrove. We stayed there this past week and enjoyed it so much as it had a full-size frig and stove, microwave, and a large tv as well. Great reception for the internet and the tv. Just a stone's throw away from the lake and a nice cool breeze every day. I have not slept that good in months, we have already booked the cabin again for 2023. Thank you for a wonderful stay. I highly recommend this place, it was very peaceful and well kept.

If you're interested in enjoying a soak in a jacuzzi with bubbling yellow water, or sleeping in a bed whose sheets have not been changed and are covered in sand and dirt, then this is the place for you! It's a total steal too... The dirty room without the amenities you've been promised will only cost you $300 a night. We booked a ”luxury room with jacuzzi tub” and were excited to enjoy a relaxing soak after a long day of hiking. Only problem? Our room didn't have a plug and my family of four had only been given 2 towels. The water in the toilet, sink, and shower were all tinged yellow and we were concerned about whether or not it was safe. Could we brush our teeth with it? With young kids, I didn't want to risk it. Of course we called room service. No answer. Door was locked at reception. Determined to try and enjoy the room we had splurged for because of the jacuzzi tub, we improvised and used a condomint container as a makeshift plug. The jacuzzi tub quickly filled up with yellow water and the room smelled gross. We were forced to shower in it - and our hair smelled like the lake afterwards. The four of us shared 2 towels. Annoyed, we crawled into bed to try and rest - only to discover the sheets were sandy. Turning on the lights again and taking off the covers, we saw they were absolutely filthy! To make matters worse, the room wasn't even quiet. The pipes and refrigerator were noisy and their whooshing and humming woke us up throughout the night. All in all, it was a terrible experience. What made it even more disappointing, was the reaction from the front desk staff. They were defensive of everything I brought up, trying their best to convince me it wasn't that bad. ”But the yellow water is safe to bathe in! But your room was cleaned, we think we cleaned it anyway. But you had two adults in your party, so two towels makes sense...” As much as I'm appalled by the state of our room, having paid $300 to stay there, if the customer service had been anything but off-putting and unprofessional, then maybe I would have something positive to say. Please don't let the pictures fool you into thinking this is a good option to stay in! It's not. We were so excited the moment we set foot in our room and I filmed the video of the space.... Only to have the worst hotel stay I've ever experienced.

It was a great pleasure to stay in Hidden Valley Resort during Canada Day long weekend in 2024. The hospitality was remarkable, service team was professional, friendly and helpful. Specially the General Manager Mr. Evan Ali made our stay very comfortable with his hospitality, professional guidance and local knowledge. We would love to visit this property again and again. The hotel service is very good, the staff are very friendly and have been assisting us. When we need it, they explain it to us in detail. The hotel facilities are very good, everyone can enjoy it

Very beautiful hotel, beautiful scenery facing the lake, only 8 minutes drive from Huntsville Town. Especially the luxury suite, oversized kitchen and living room, it is worth a visit. Service heart, completely home feeling 👍👍

This hotel chain bed is very comfortable, but foreign hotels generally do not have slippers, toothbrushes and toothpaste, so these things need to bring their own! Do you respond to environmental protection? Understand that the price is cheaper and more comfortable. There is no smoking room! Because I hate the smoke most! I think this is better! The location is also very convenient!

First off. This place is what it is. It’s a budget hotel, so don’t be expecting any frills extra amenities. What you do get is a clean room, comfortable beds, hot water and great service. The young man who runs this place is very friendly and helpful. We were here on a motorcycle trip and it rained overnight. He left us towels on the chair outside the room so we could wipe them off in the morning. It’s little things like that that go a long way. This place is also walking distance to all of the downtown restaurants which is very convenient. Clean, comfortable, quiet, great service and convenient. Great little budget hotel.

Very comfortable beds, nicely renovated rooms, nice bathroom. Somehow the towel count was short, only 1 in the room, we should have told them at the front desk as they thought we had taken them when we left. We certainly would never do that, we have more than enough at home and more to our taste. The owner was adamant that he and his wife do the rooms themselves and were sure they had supplied the room. I explained we are not liars and would never do that or even want them. He finally agreed not to charge us for them. Make sure you bring anything missing in the room to the front desk’s attention right away to avoid an issue like this . They are a small business and need to control their inventory also so I can understand their argument . We were there for a short time so it wasn’t a big deal to have the extra towel but in hind sight next time if we notice a shortage when checking in we will bring it to their attention right away. Otherwise everything was good , good location for the purpose of our stay.

The hotel is newer, but the facilities need to be improved. There is a refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee machine, dishes, cutlery and forks, and it is relatively new. However, there is only a microwave and no stove to boil the kettle. There is no way to cook. The heater is next to the bed and it is very noisy when sleeping. The lights in the room are dim. Peripheral facilities are still under construction.
