I have stayed at the best hotel, sleeping with the sea, watching the seagulls sleeping by the water, cooking and swimming. Just in time for a heavy snowfall, a snowman by the window, the child is very happy. On the edge is the pier, the real Fisherman's Wharf. Quiet, beautiful and convenient, be sure to come back. (Hurry up for half a year, photos just found in the computer) There are convenience stores, bakeries, restaurants, bars, and supermarkets for 8 minutes.

Beautiful views and comfortable bed. Private patio or balcony with each room. An item of ours went missing in the room only to turn up later in our trip, buried in our luggage. The management was gracious, responsive and helpful. The front desk is closed quite a bit but there is a posted number to call and someone comes quickly.

Great little hotel with fabulous staff !! Close to all amenities in Duncan. I was very pleased with the area just on the outside of Duncan not close to the riff raff. They have a good little breakfast bar in their cute little lobby as well so that was a bonus!! All around a good stay will definitely be staying again !

Stayed 2 nights at Duncan Motel. The place is not the most attractive. Everything looks old and needs a renovation. The room is not cosy, but big with a separate bedroom, a big bathroom, and a kitchen with a seating area. And everything worked well, so no problems. Coffee maker and coffee pods and tea is provided. Soap, shampoo, shower gel and body milk is provided too. The lady at the reception was very kindly. Location is very good. The bus stop for BC Transit Busses to Victoria, to Chemainus and to Nanaimo is at about 1 km from the hotel. Next to that bus stop is a big supermarket. It is about the same distance to the center of Duncan, a nice little town with beautiful totems. There are restaurants close to the hotel.

Duncan has little competition and it shows. This is the nicer place in town but it fails to compare if you’ve stayed in any other hotels. The breakfast is adequate but is lacking the usual things like pancakes, sausage, baked food variety. Some of their doors in the rooms don’t fit so there’s gaps where you can see into the hallway. The noise travels well and the building itself seems to have plumbing or hvac noise from which is constant. It’s fine for a quick business stay and it’s clean. The restaurant also has food food.

Very satisfied choice! The hostess is very welcoming. The room and restaurant have all facilities, too complete, and very generous. There are all kinds of refreshments, tea bags, and all kinds of toiletries, including new toothpaste, toothbrushes, and razors (not disposable ) The quality is good, and it’s free. People who say they’re afraid of traveling forgot to bring it! Especially like the living room fireplace. This house cannot be said to be very new and luxurious, but it is very, very comfortable. For breakfast, the hostess will give her own baked croissants (delicious) and eggs for free! Walk 3-5 minutes to the beach, but there is no shopping, dining, suitable for self-driving, self-cooking, it is recommended!
