I visit regularly and it’s always a pleasure to return. The staff is friendly, caring and very accommodating. The beds are comfortable and I highly rate the cleanliness of the bathrooms. I will admit the carpets could do with a deep clean or replacing, for some rooms, but other than that it’s spot on. The parking allows for electric charging points and it is secured by a gate. Although it’s near the train track, the noise is not a problem. However, be prepared to hear some happy noises from the football teams when they return from winning a game. It doesn’t last for long, but at least you’re warned. Food wise, dinner is always a pleasure as the dishes are cooked with care and it’s always delicious. Breakfasts are lovely, my only regret is that it doesn’t start until 7. If it could start at 6:30 or 6:45 it would be quite convenient for me. Anyway, I return every 8 weeks and I always know it will be a pleasant stay.

I stayed at the Best Western Hotel Brussels South when returning from Austria on a coach trip. From the outside none of us were impressed, the building looks very austere, but on the inside it has been done up to a very high standard. The member of staff on during the evening was rather rude, but the morning staff were excellent. The room was clean but had some wear and tear showing. The TV had BBC1 and BBC2 listed as available channels but didn't work when I was there, but did have some random English language channels if you absolutely needed them. The room had plenty of charging points, with 1 USB charger under the TV. The bathroom seemed very new, but the shower head was at a fixed angle which meant a lot of spray went straight onto the bathroom floor. Even arriving latish at night the shower had very good water pressure and heated up quickly. The bed was comfortable, but was two singles pushed together so I did find I graviated to the dip between them. The pillows were fine, not the best but also not the worst. Breakfast here was a little choatic, but not as bad as in another Best Western I stayed in. This hotel had a number of coach trips in, and each was given their own time for breakfast - unfortunately some of the later coaches arrived at the first sitting, so the staff did have to rush around to ensure the food was kept fully stocked, but did so with a very friendly manner - especially considering the way some of the travellers spoke to them. Location wise this hotel is about 2 hours from the ferry at Dunkirk, there aren't really any amenities nearby, but there are two service stations close by if you wanted some food in the evening. I'd certainly consider staying at this hotel in the future, more likely on a weekday when there are no coach trips.

The hotel is easy to reach by car. They have standard rooms but also apartments. The rooms are clean, quiet and very comfortable. A special thank you to the cleaning staff. The parking lot is big. You can access it any time thanks to your room key.

I had a reservation and my trip was moved forward a day and this company wouldn't move my booking despite the fact that they advertise flexible booking ( this was over a month until my trip so there was plenty of notice given) I was told there was no availability but I found the exact same room for the date I needed to change to on their website. I booked this and asked if they could waive their cancellation fee as I hadn't completely cancelled and they were still getting my money, it was just a day earlier than planned. I was told that I couldn't do this and was going to be charged the full £100 if I cancelled and rebooked with the same company, plus the charge for the new room. This is an extremely greedy company that isn't really interested in helping their customers or building relationships with customers they just want your money then they don't care. I had a three week trip around Europe booked with IBIS hotels and I will certainly be cancelling all of them and never using them again as they lie when they advertise their flexibility.
