The place is simple, but incredibly comfortable with everything you need for a good nights sleep whilst in transit. It has great facilities (pool, spa, sauna, playground, tennis courts etc and restaurant / room service with a large menu). The staff are the biggest highlight, and we’d like to give a big shout out to Sam who was an absolute delight from the moment we checked in. Warm, competent, natural and knows how to go the extra mile without it seeming contrived. She was particularly brilliant with our children, and nothing was ever too much trouble. Very grateful to have inadvertently found this place for our overnight! Would happily come back again.
We decided to stay here as we had to drop one of our vehicles for a service nearby and we live 96km away, the opposite side of Sydney, which would have involved being stuck in peak hour traffic for a lot of the trip, so instead of it being approx 1hr 45 minutes, it would likely have been about 3 hours! Having decided to travel up and stay nearby it seemed sensible to take a second vehicle so that we had some way of getting around while the other was in being serviced (and we had no idea how long that might take!) On arrival, I asked about parking onsite for the second vehicle and was told in a not particularly pleasant manner that only one vehicle was allowed onsite and we would have to park the other in a street outside the park! Once we were onsite, we found that there was a large carpark just inside the park which was only half full overnight and many vacant tent and caravan spots, as well as the parking outside the studio we had had NO other cars beside ours! There would have been absolutely no reason not to allow us to have our second vehicle within the holiday park, other than blind insistence on following a rule. I can understand that over holiday periods and summer, there would be no room for additional vehicles, however, on a Monday night in winter, this should not have been an issue. If you are travelling with more that one vehicle, I would suggest looking for alternative accommodation, although there does not appear to be much in the way of hotels/motels/caravan parks, etc in this locality.

Overall a very nice place to stay. We were there for a family wedding that took place nearby and stayed there as it was convenient. The rooms are very nice, air conditioned , clean and comfortable. House keeping is efficient and our room was sorted every day. We stayed for nearly 3 weeks and our only reservation is the food. It is best described as pub grub standards, in as much as it is basic and not terribly varied. But there are a plethora of nearby restaurants that easily compensated for the simpler food at the Sands. My mark of a good place to stay is firstly would I go back, the answer is Yes and did I find it value for money, again the answer is yes. Well done to all the team, but the kitchen just needs a bit of improvement.
Upon arrival the hotel looked tidy and friendly and considering it wasn’t cheap I was expecting to have a nice comfortable stay but unfortunately that wasn’t the case. The lobby was warm and cosy and this really tricks guests into thinking the whole hotel would be in similar condition. I checked in and was given just one room card for 2 people and it took 3 attempts and trips back to the check in desk to get it to work and after complaining even more we was finally given a second card that subsequently never worked. The lift was filthy and freezing cold and the fire door was wedged open on the 2nd floor which is both dangerous and illegal and my partner who happens to be a fire inspector asked the hotel to close it and was told it was not her responsibility. Our room had a lovely view over the water but unfortunately that was the only lovely thing about it. The decor was incredibly dated and the room was freezing cold, smelled of damp and absolutely filthy. The hotel was full so even after several complaints we couldn’t be moved but unfortunately the hotel had zero interest in fixing any of the problems. The sofa was filthy, the curtains had moth holes, the bathroom was damaged and filthy with a leaking bath and a very strong damp smell. The room was freezing cold and dark. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone and I’ll never return to it again. Absolutely disgusting service and the quality of the rooms is beyond a joke
We have previously stayed here when it was still the Travelodge. There have been a few upgrades since, which were needed. Bed was very comfortable, as were the pillows. Some negatives however: no bedside lights, no hand towel in the bathroom and no luggage rack. When we asked about these we were met with blank stares. We purchased a portable LED light from our local Bunnings to use as a reading light. We paid for parking ($20 per night), but found 2 out of our 5 nights the car park was full and we were unable to park in the hotel car park. It appears that when there's a rugby game on, guests at the hotel let their friends park in the hotel car park. In addition, the disability parking spots were frequently occupied by those without the applicable parking permit. Hotel staff was not at all interested, but did give us a refund for the 2 nights when parking was not available.
We stayed one night at this motel as part of a road trip. It’s a small motel on the busy Pacific Highway. It has an Asian influence both in reception and the grounds and has a kitchen that delivers Chinese food to the room. Apparently it’s very good! Our room was tiny but we knew that when booking. It had a Queen and single bed but the friendly guy at reception said it would be $10 extra to use the single bed. That was OK as we had only booked a Queen. The bathroom was really small. 3m x 1m. It would be difficult for a large person to navigate. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the wifi was good and although small, the room was more than adequate for one night. We could park the car right outside our door. There was a microwave which is not mentioned in the room details. We heard hardly any noise from the Highway in room 6 close to back of property. We were happy with our stay.
I stayed at Seranin Gordon for a few nights, I previously stayed at Seranin Lane Cove & had such a good experience when I need a place to stay again I couldn't go past Seranin Gordon. The rooms are immaculate & brand new, the manager Patrick was very helpful and responsive. The location was amazing being so close to public transport and local shops up the road. will definitely stay again
The nightcap pymble hotel is a hidden treasure. When you walk through the old wooden doors, you are taken back in time to an art deco era. Great food, rooms refurbished and very comfortable and service pretty good too. David the manager is a legend and went above and beyond when my booking was mucked up. Has a bws bottle shop attached, doesn’t do breakfast but you can get a breaky pack. A top place to stay
Amazing and Excellent service, room was clean & tidy. Shower water pressure is to die for! Amazing. Currently the Motor Inn is under refurbishment. But amazingly great potential and well needed upgrades are being done. Motel Manager was exceptionally helpful, high welcoming attitude and is taking a modern take on this Motel. . I highly recommend this Motel! Perfect location, The Kidney Shaped Pool is old fashioned but well maintained and is spacious!
I look forward to returning back here to see the future results and renovations To this great Motel!
