I have stayed twice in three months. I have booked this time. I am very satisfied with the double suite. The terrace is very large. The kitchen is fully equipped. It can cook more than six people. The fly in the ointment is another room. The difference is that the air is dripping. No room, bed, room, lobby, suggestion, suites are better than standard double rooms.
Please note the date of this review. The current owners have only been there six months, and they are pleasant and very helpful. Although the information is there, it is not immediately clear that parking is very, very limited and needs to be pre-booked. There is an arrangement with the local Westfield, which left me - an elderly solo female traveller - slogging uphill to return to the hotel on the day before garbage pickup. Very smelly and unpleasant. (Returning downhill after garbage pickup not such a problem!) Room was elegant and spotless. But also unclear from the webpage is that there is no evening meal service, only basic breakfast - with a very nice carrot cake - which left me eating a chocolate bar and chips for the evening meal. No, there doesn't seem to be any nearby cafe. All in all, this should be branded as a Hoilday Inn Express. And, no, a microwave oven doesn't turn a room into a suite. I suggest choosing the other Parramatta Holiday Inn. If I'd realised the problems in advance I'd have cancelled and swapped. It will be interesting to see what the new owners make of it when they've had a bit more time.
The location of this hotel is great! It's only two minutes' walk from the train station, and Westfield Mall is right next to it. So it is very convenient to go to the City or anywhere in Sydney to do business. The front desk of the hotel is very enthusiastic, helping with directions or providing information, the impression is very good!

Stayed for 9 nights. Location is close to Parramatta station. Room is generally clean. However, seems minor dirts found on bedsheets after housekeeping (note: Daily housekeeping was available as I stayed for 9 nights). However, there was a fire alarm suddenly on Valentine's day and every guest was informed to evacuate immediately from the room. It also happened last time when I stayed at Skye Green Square in Christmas last year.
Great Location - lovely sized apartment's - comfortable bed The only downside which is no fault of this establishment is there is several construction sites happening around the building - and it is very noisy
I attended a conference held in the Lennox Ballroom, and it was easiest to stay at the same hotel. Check-in and check-out was ok, a bit slow and had to wait until someone bothered to look up and see me standing there. Location is good, next to many eateries and a short (about 10-15 minute) walk to Westfield mall. The room was average, with all basic requirements. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and basic necessities were there. Points for improvement include - no full length mirror in the room (only the bathroom mirror above the sink), shower head was about an inch above my head (I'm 158cm), the shower screen was too small to stop water splashing onto the floor while showering, unusual room layout meant passing through a narrow gap between wall and corner of bed to reach the bathroom, and unvacuumed floor despite putting up the sign for room cleaning. The sofa at reception was large and useful, unfortunately had a few small rips in it. While the hotel is adequate, more attention to details might help to elevate the customer experience.
We had a short break in Sydney and decided to stay here. What a wonderful experience. When we went to register our room was not ready and we didn’t keep waiting but immediately upgraded to another room. Before arriving, we received a call from a member of the hotel team welcoming us to the hotel as they saw that we had not lived here before. Parking is convenient, actually, we parked in the car park when we were there, it was easy to get to the train station in Parramatta (15 minutes) and then by train to Sydney (30 minutes drive). The room was very comfortable. Loved the overall ambience of this hotel - staff, accommodation, food and location. We'll be back.
Great for concerts I stayed here for kiss and it was only a $20 Uber ride (don’t take a taxi!) rooms were big but a-few complaints: Slamming doors kept waking me up Couldn’t mirror my phone to the tv like most hotels I’ve stayed at the tv is ancient not a smart tv so I had to watch my iPad Bed was two singles put together No radio so I didn’t know the time at night or tissues it’s the small touches like that that matter But I’d stay again for a concert much quicker to get home
I had an amazing stay. Miriam was there for my check in and check out. She was helpful and friendly. I came early to the hotel, was able to have early check in and was also offered a late check out. Beds are amazingly comfortable. Everything you need in rooms. View spectacular! Pool and spa relaxing! Cannot fault the facilities and staff at Meriton Parramatta.
Great location. A number of cafes and restaurants within a 1-2 minute walk from the hotel. There’s also a large Westfield shopping complex about a 10-minute walk away, with even more restaurants and retail stores for your perusing. For those taking public transport, Parramatta train station is a similar distance (shopping centre and train station are side-by-side), which is an easy/flat walk to and from the hotel.
During our stay, we were liaising with Claire, who was brilliant throughout. We had three rooms booked, and she looked after us all very well. The staff overall were friendly, and the rooms were renovated and modern. The buffet breakfast was not an overly large in selection, but a good amount of options to choose from.

Parramatta Park
MM32***23This park is right next to Darling Harbour and has a variety of exquisite cafes, restaurants and bars to suit all tastes and budgets. There are several children's playgrounds in the park, as well as many places for adults. Highly recommended for children of all ages.
Parramatta Library
Ppxy0705The library in Parramatta was originally the city's old government building, a typical Victorian building. The library is not very large, but the square in front of the door is very large, and the center of the square is a beautiful fountain. There are many children playing here in summer, full of harmony and indisputable atmosphere.
Riverside Theatres
Jjuki235Parramatta City is a satellite city in Sydney, an old city, and the Riverside Theatre on the Parramatta River has a history of more than 100 years and is a typical Victorian building. It is also one of the important symbols of Parramatta City and worth the money to visit.
St John's Anglican Cathedral
聪聪明的笨羊Situated on the side of the square in the heart of Parramatta, near Sydney. The classroom is far less grand and luxurious in size than some big cities, especially some churches in Europe. But the earthy exterior walls and spires still give a sense of solemnity. We went late and couldn't get in, but the Gothic building under the sunset was beautiful.
