The check-in process was very simple, and the information provided to us covered everything that we needed to know. There was adequate room for us to park our SUV, and the surrounding area was nicely covered in suitable plants. While our chalet was adjacent to others, there was good privacy and sound isolation - we were never disturbed by any sounds of other people staying. Being adjacent to the beach, there was a pleasant background sound of the waves breaking on the beach. Beach access was available nearby. WiFi Internet access was included, and worked seamlessly. The chalet had a well-equiped kitchen, a full-sized fridge and good cooking facilities. When it was time to checkout, this process was equally simple. In summary, we enjoyed everything provided and found nothing lacking that we needed.

Wonderful location, great owners and the perfect place to stay. Spacious, clean and fully fitted self contained units. Very comfy beds, excellent shower (better than mine!) and lovely clean new furniture. Couldn't fault it. Really great property and all on the ground floor so you can drive your car right up to your door. The kids loved it as it's close to the beach, right next to a big park and a nice quiet path next to the units where they can play on their scooters safely etc. Really excellent facility

We had booked a villa unit (with a king bed that the website said could be split in 2, which I asked for). When we arrived, I asked if the bed had been split, but they hadn't done so. However, they immediately upgraded us to a 2-bed apartment, with it's own off-street parking space, for no extra charge. It was perfect! One bedroom had a queen bed, the other 2 singles, with a shared bathroom (toilet, shower, vanity all in the one space). There was also a lounge area, dining table, and a small kitchen with a full-sized fridge. All the basics (crockery, cutlery etc.) were provided, not that we intended using any, but this would be perfect for a family holidaying near Middleton Beach (Pelicans is just 2 streets from the beach). These apartments were likely built in the 1970s or 80s, and they've been revamped nicely. However, remnants of the original building still remain---the bathroom in our unit hadn't been modernised, and it had what appeared to be the original fixtures and fittings, and so looked a little 'tired' and outdated. Same for the kitchen fixtures and fittings. I think the air conditioner was a bit old too as it was much louder than more modern split systems (the 'low' fan setting sounded very loud). However, all the floor coverings, window treatments, beds, bed linen etc. were modern. The beds and pillow were particularly comfy. I'd stay here again.

We stayed as 2 couples pleased with location and the lodges were clean However at midnight the residents of the lodge below used the spa bath for an hour ! we were woken unsure what the loud noise at the time we contacted the emergency number the guy said we should knock on their door ....which really wasn't our place to do they refused to come out however rang the room and the noise stopped ! we mentioned this incident to reception no apology .It says in their notes about the place NO SPA use after 10pm clearly they don't enforce that rule ....as a result of lack of consideration to rule abiding guests I wouldn't recommend staying here thought reception and emergency contact were totally unconcerned that our sleep had been distrubed No apology from Dolphin Lodge what's so ever

Lovely motel close to York street and within walking distance to many eateries and shops. Room was on ground floor and consisted of a comfy queen with a king single. Bathroom was adequate with toiletries provided daily, although shower screen didnt provide full coverage so water splashed all over floor. Plenty of tea and coffee provided daily as well. Housekeeping were punctual and plenty of towels to use for one person. Rooms have been renovated at some stage although are starting to show their age. All in all a lovely place to stay , very quiet and friendly reception staff. thanks to Carly upon checkin!

Really lovely motel, very clean and tidy, the beds were really comfortable, great shower. The restaurant was a stand out. The staff were super friendly and keen to help. There are shops and restaurants close by.

The experience was awesome, the service was best, clean rooms and toilets, the cleaner was so honest, i have left my Apple Watch while visited Albany when i came back the watch was still at the same place where i have left it. I am very impressed by service as well. I forgot to drop towels on the floor so they didnt change the towels, when i came back to hotel and i have noticed the towels didn’t change due to my misunderstanding the receptionist came and drop the cleaned towels in couple of minutes. The staff was amazing and the hotel location was awesome Highly recommend

This time I booked an 8-bed room for 5 days. The location is very close to the coach station. It is very suitable for people without a car. The room is not always full. The staff is very warm and friendly. Even if I booked a mixed room, I learned that I have room. A female companion will try to arrange an all-female dormitory for us! Moreover, the cheap price package also provides simple breakfast, which is a surprise! Although the hygienic environment may not be very good for picky people, this backpacker hostel is very pleasant. The toilets and bathrooms are very clean, and the common area is also regularly cleaned. It is much better than most affordable backpacker hostels!
