What a gem the Laurels is - a beautiful historic house surrounded by rambling private gardens and beautiful pastoral land. The interior is a collectors dream with incredible antiques and interesting furnishings throughout. Hosts Lindy and David truly spoil their guests with wine and snacks in the room, a complementary wine and cheese cocktail hour and an incredible cooked breakfast. Rooms were very comfortable and well appointed. This is definitely a hidden gem.

In a nutshell, great beds and pillows - had a really comfy night's sleep and convenient to everywhere I had to go in the short time I was there. Great little Chinese restaurant gem just across the other side of the roundabout called Chef Tony's. Directly across the road from McDonald's, KFC, etc and just down from Woolies on one side of the road and 711 on the other. Unfortunately, there were a few small things that I noted: 1. The really unpleasant smell emanating from one of the drains in the bathroom that pervaded the whole room 2. No access to power point for phone charger near the bed 3. The construction going on from shortly before 7am directly behind my room.

Clean, fresh building with very nice room and helpful staff. Good bed and bathroom, although the door to the bathroom was a bit of a nuisance (design issue). Lovely continental breakfast with barrister coffee (at an extra cost). Easy parking and access. We will go there again and recommend it to our friends.

Good location, very close to the town's central business district, all three supermarkets are very convenient for shopping and eating; the hotel's interior style is simple and industrial style, like it, the only disadvantage is that the bathroom is too small, can not cook without gas stove.

We stayed at Quest Sunday night. We checked in at 9.30pm. I enquired about on site car parking as upon arrival the car park was less than 50%full. I was informed it was $20 to park onsite. It would have been nice if the staff had advised normally there was the charge but considering the time and the fact the car park was not full to park there. Sometimes it just the little things that make a difference. Heads up to quests to park across from the police station for security.
