Our check in was on a Saturday. Reception is not manned for weekend check ins - received a text with a code to the key safe at the front door which contained envelopes for guests checking in. The envelopes contained two sets of keys and fobs, plus instructions for parking and access.
After parking the car we made our way to our unit on the fifth floor, using the fob. In the unit, was a well appointed kitchen, living room with dining table and chairs, lounge chairs and large screen TV. The bedroom had a king size bed and side tables, a two door wardrobe, and a small adjoining ensuite.
The location of the Meridian Tower was excellent - across the road from the beach, and close to several restaurants and cafes.

The apartment has the Wow factor when you enter it as the view from 1002 is spectacular. We have stayed at various apartments in this building and this has one of the best views. We loved watching the whales from the balcony. We were booked for a 3 week stay and, sadly, the kitchen was lacking. There was no microwaveable dishes and no oven dishes. However, the frying pans were practically new. Nearly all the kitchen cupboards were empty. I like to use table mats and coasters to protect the property but there were none. The lounge furniture was very comfortable. I'd like to suggest a table lamp or subdued lighting would be good on an evening. It was a beautiful apartment just not very homely. The mattresses in the master bedroom could do with being renewed. I probably wouldn't have noticed any discomfort for a short stay but after 3 weeks, it was telling. We would return to Iconic Kirra as we love the location and apartment size.

Whilst it’s not the most up market place on the Gold Coast it’s the best value for couple’s, solo, or families. It’s the perfect location between Rainbow Bay and Greenmount Beach. Staff are the friendliest and most helpful I’ve met world wide. Luckily it’s no longer being knocked down for luxury apartment complex so I’ll be able to enjoy many more years there.

This year we had two of our sons and their families stay for 7 nights (children aged 9, 4 & 2). My husband and I stayed for 14 nights. This is our 4th year in a row - 1 at Iconic Kirra and 3 at X-Kirra. We had 3 beachfront 2 bedroom apartments. The apartments are clean, bright, with everything we need, plus great balconies overlooking the park and beach. The - park and playground across the road, beach just beyond that area, quietness of Kirra, cafes, bakeries, restaurants, hotels and easy boardwalk to Coolangatta suit us perfectly. Wonderful and precious family time. We have already booked 3 apartments for next year. Can’t wait!!

We loved our night in the Artist Suite, It is very retro, loved the decor including the pinball machine and the flamingo bathrobes. We stayed on a Friday night so the music from the bar downstairs was loud. We knew that would be the case so we were ready to dance the night away in our suite...and we did. If you don’t want the noise don’t book this suite, but if you want to have some fun and don’t mind some music until midnight-ish i highly recommend it. (Music was blues/rock). Good recommendations were provided for the local area and the breakfast menu provided for in room service (from a local cafe) is great. The rooftop bar is available even when it isn’t open for service for guests to hang out overlooking the beach. Beds were comfortable, staff friendly, and the whole place has a fun vibe. Highly recommended.

Basically no facility. Quiet little hotel. Staff are friendly. Kitchen is a little dirty . As I do not cook at all . So it does not bother me. Parking is easy and safe.

I had a lovely stay here. Room was very nice, I was on the 1st floor and even though it was a low floor I still had views of the ocean. I imagine higher floor rooms would gave great views. Room had a balcony with table and chairs. Also a small kitchenette with mini fridge, microwave and some plates/cutlery. Very comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Breakfast buffet was very nice and staff at breakfast were particularly lovely. Location excellent, just across the road from the beach. Plenty of good restaurants nearby If we come back to the area I’d definitely stay again

Point Danger
Yyangduoduo17Hazard angle is an interesting place. Beautiful seas, and one step away can change your jet lag is just the fascinating place. This is the boundary between Queensland and New South Wales. Just crossing the boundary, it will take one or less hour. The sea is also different from the Gold Coast, showing the coastline of fine sand and reefs. Whether driving by or traveling on vacation, it is worth exploring! Especially peeking at the mysterious changes in time
Snapper Rocks
多多多I always park at Cape Danger near Captain Cook Lighthouse and never have to walk far. The views are amazing, the Tweed Estuary to the south, Flagstaff Beach and beyond. I have seen whales here at certain times of year. Then I do all the info on the Centuar Remembrance Walk, enjoy the views to the north and Snapper Rocks, walk to Froggy Beach where the little green frogs are on the rocks, watch people in the man-made pools, the waves cover the pools and then go out (depending on the tide and swell - awesome), watch the surfers at Snapper Rocks, then walk on the sidewalk avoiding the steps. What a great way to while away the time.
Greenmount Beach

From her beautiful five minutes down the flat path overlooking the sea and surrounding the green hills, she walked to Rainbow Bay Beach, another perfectly safe family beach. Follow the beach from here to the salmon rock. If you feel it, climb up the mountain to the dangerous observation deck. It's spectacular!
Kirra Beach
Yyangduoduo17Another beautiful beach on the Gold Coast, but with their unique scenery and charm. The beach is more local, and the never-ending waves form a sandbar to protect the swimmers. It's quiet here, not developed as some of its neighbors have.

Ppxy0705Gold Coast skydiving is definitely the most worthwhile extreme project here, with professional coaches and photographers accompanying you to skydiving is quite safe. When the whole person jumped from the cabin of the plane, the whole person lost gravity, flying in the air like a bird, that feeling is really wonderful, and the current beauty is panoramic, there is really a very proud feeling.
Rainbow Bay
多多多This rainbow bay is one of the series of beaches in Coolangatta. You can take a direct bus from the Gold Coast city. This time you can see the dangerous corner. Of course, the nearby beaches have been visited. In terms of beach length, it is not long. There is a salmon rock farm on the side, but the scenery is still very charming. Unlike Surfers Paradise, there are full of tourists, most of them are locals, leisurely surfing, playing in the water, sunbathing, you can see the way Australians enjoy, even if you don’t like to play in the water, it doesn’t matter, find a bench, or sit on the floor, look at the sea, enjoy the wind and sunshine, It was a wonderful Australian afternoon.

Yyangduoduo17After the river cruise, look at the map and see the lighthouse nearby. If the weather is nice, come and take a walk! To my surprise, as soon as I arrived at the observation deck, the man next to me pointed in the distance and said there were whales. I have never seen whales on the sea from the shore. It was really a blessing for the good weather, and I also thanked this passerby. So selfless!
