Winckley Square Residences

Can’t fault the room at all. Got everything you need but I only stayed for one night. The bathroom is very tiny but the problem is the smell of the drain. You can smell it when you enter the building. My room is on the first floor and on the right hand side when you walk up the stairs. Decent enough hotel

Mostly fine Nice place with a good view over Winckley Square. We just booked one night local to get out of the house as our son was having friends around for his 21st. As we left the 20 and 21yr olds behind, was quite surprised to be met by the unmistakable smell of **** in the living room of the flat. Not a massive problem to be fair, but the sickly smell does tend to linger. The flat is quite nicely fitted out in a faux art deco style. Little things let it down though - the sofa back was broken, so not comfortable to sit on, the towel radiator in the bathroom either desperately needs bleeding or the flow is blocked (only bottom 6 inch gets warm) so the bathroom was cold. The lounge and bedroom radiators were switched off, so the flat was cold and unwelcoming when we arrived. I switched them on and it warmed up reasonably quickly. There were little crappy portable electric heaters in each room, the type you get in construction site porta-cabins. Doesn't really go with the art deco ambience they've tried hard to create. Would it not be better to just switch on the rads? Getting in via the key safe was easy and the bed was comfortable. Not bad overall.

Booked two apartments (Silver Birch and Orange) for two nights. Conveniently located, spotlessly clean with excellent furnishings. Comfortable and quiet. The penthouse especially had all required kitchen appliances. Really appreciate the welcome pack with snacks and cereal. Towels, shower gel and shampoo also provided.

Just got home after staying in The Blue Spruce penthouse apartment here. Cannot fault the apartment. Was a good size lounge kitchen area, bedroom a good size and so was the bathroom with large shower plus freestanding bath. The only problem was the smell when we went into the bedroom. Definitely a cat piss smell...even though it's supposed to be " no pets" policy. Messaged the owners who said the smell must be coming from outside...it wasn't! They told us they would send someone to change the bedding...not the issue as the bedding was clean! I messaged back telling them this. On returning back in on Saturday evening the smell was just as bad....had to have a fan on and windows open all night. On leaving on Sunday morning I messaged the owners again saying the smell was on the carpet in the corner of the bedroom...definitely a cat piss smell!! Now 3 hours later and no reply from them to say they've been to check it out...or sorry your stay wasn't as enjoyable as we would of hoped. Not the best service. Wouldn't stay again or recommend the place unfortunately as other reviews were good.
